会合,会う the three friends who 開始する,打ち上げるd Amazing Lofts last year with £5,000… and have since made £1MILLION in sales

  • Trio やめる their 職業s last year to start the 商売/仕事?
  • 供給する 貯蔵 and insulation 解答s and now have a team of 35?
  • 焦点(を合わせる) is on 居住の, but are now winning 商業の?契約s too?

It's never 平易な quitting the safety 一面に覆う/毛布 of a 十分な-time 職業 to go it alone - 特に when even family and friends say it's a terrible idea.

But friends Kevin パン職人, Richard Blane and Neal Thorne all did just that last year, ignoring their loved ones to 開始する,打ち上げる Amazing Lofts - and they 港/避難所't looked 支援する.

The loft 貯蔵 商売/仕事 has reached £1million in sales after just one year of 貿易(する)ing and now have?a team of 35. What's more, even some of their once 懐疑的な family and friends now work for them.

Rather than 単独で working on loft 転換s, the trio 焦点(を合わせる) on 貯蔵 and insulation after realising both were in high 需要・要求する as people try to 削減(する) energy 法案s and optimise space.?

While Neal has a background in loft 転換, Kevin and Richard have spent three 10年間s working in sales and marketing for a 歓待 brand.

'I had a few 調査s when doing loft 転換s about the 搭乗 面s and that changed my mind really,' says Neal.?

'I saw a few companies online doing it, saw their success and thought it would be a good space, 特に in the cost of living 危機 with people wanting to 絶縁する.?

'It seemed like the ideal 決定/判定勝ち(する) really.'

Loft 搭乗 creates 貯蔵 space by fitting boards to the 床に打ち倒す of the roof, and along with a fitted loft ladder can - in some 事例/患者s - create up to 50 per cent more space in your home.

'Space is at a 賞与金 and the loft is often the largest space in the house,' they say.

It's 平易な to understand why their friends would be nervous.?

The after-影響s of the pandemic and the cost of living 危機 have 不均衡な 影響する/感情d small 商売/仕事s, so even after identifying a gap in the market, setting up on their own was a risky move, 特に for Neal who has a young family.

It was a 公正に/かなり humble beginning for Amazing Lofts. The friends put 負かす/撃墜する just £5,000 between them and they had one 貯蔵 コンテナ and 雇うd a 先頭.

Once they had started making money on the 取り付け・設備s, they reinvested it 直接/まっすぐに 支援する into the 商売/仕事.

'We were fortunate we were getting 職業s quickly and getting the 商売/仕事 to reinvest quickly. We don't have any 悔いるs. Some of the friends who were 懐疑的な..?

'One or two of them are working for us and my sister's working for us too,' says Kevin.?

'We transform unusable space'?

Kevin, Richard and Neal had identified a growing market and while they took a 危険 themselves, setting up in the cost of living 危機 was a blessing in disguise.

'There was so much in the news about energy efficiency. People can save £300/£400 a year by having their house 絶縁するd 適切に,' says Kevin.?

'It was very much a topical thing, people were looking to save money on their energy 法案s. It seemed the 権利 商売/仕事 for us at the time with our skillset, with Neal's background and our sales and marketing background, we were just using our skillset to make something that would work.'

There has also been 増加するd 需要・要求する for 貯蔵 space in new build 所有物/資産/財産s, the trio say, given how 限られた/立憲的な space is and 外部の 貯蔵 space can be 極端に expensive.

'We 設立する that there's 多重の needs for our service - turning a dark, unusable space into something that can 現実に be used.'

They've also 設立する that with より小数の people moving home, their 顧客s are willing to 投資する more money into the space they already have.

Unlike a 伝統的な loft 転換 which can cost tens of thousands of 続けざまに猛撃するs and take weeks, loft 搭乗 takes one to two days and the 普通の/平均(する) cost is £1,800, they say.

The friends 心配する a busy few months as the colder 天候 始める,決めるs in and homeowners start to think about how they might save money in the winter months.

'In November we 推定する/予想する to get 特に busy because people start thinking about Christmas and the Christmas decorations are usually in the loft. People think "Oh we could really do with a new ladder or some more 貯蔵."

While the 顧客 base is まず第一に/本来 homeowners, Amazing Lofts has slowly started to 伸び(る) 商業の 契約s, 含むing becoming an 認可するd 請負業者 for Oxford University.

'Construction 商売/仕事s let people 負かす/撃墜する'?

While the trio had identified a gap in the market, they also 手配中の,お尋ね者 to try and change the way things were 存在 run.

'Unfortunately many construction 商売/仕事s let people 負かす/撃墜する,' says Richard.?

'We knew that if we looked after people we would have a very good chance of growing very quickly… which is what happened.

'We knew there was a gap in the market for a company that would instil 顧客 信用/信任 and genuinely look after the 顧客.

'一般に, 地元の 貿易(する) have a 穴を開ける in their 顧客 experience. They don't look after people, they don't 引用する 適切に, they don't have the 権利 accreditation, they don't have warranties of 保証(人)s, they don't turn up on time.'

Prioritising 顧客 satisfaction has worked in their favour. Amazing Lofts made £1million in sales in their first year and it has 許すd the team to 拡大する.?

They now operate across the country, 含むing in Oxfordshire, Essex, Bristol and most recently in Derbyshire.

They're 特に proud of their 顧客 reviews.

Kevin, Richard and Neal aren't letting up just yet, even if they're tempted by an 早期に 退職. The team is on 的 to make just under £3million in their second year and hope to 拡大する into more areas.

'Wherever there's houses there's 適切な時期s.'
