I was in series one of the 見習い工 and been 破産者/倒産した twice - but entrepreneurs shouldn't worry about 失敗

A 候補者 from The 見習い工 is looking to take on the US with his new tech 投機・賭ける, にもかかわらず 直面するing two 破産s.

Raj Dhonota, who was in the first season of Lord Sugar's BBC show, 設立する success in 商売/仕事 にもかかわらず 存在 解雇する/砲火/射撃d in the ninth week.

Over the years he has built several successful tech 商売/仕事s, but before the pandemic he 設立する himself 直面するing his second 破産 after 開始する,打ち上げるing a company ーするつもりであるd to help entrepreneurs.

Now he is looking to move to the US to 開始する,打ち上げる his tech 投機・賭ける にもかかわらず his 後退s.

Raj Dhonota, who appeared on the first series of The Apprentice, has been declared bankrupt twice

Raj Dhonota, who appeared on the first 一連の The 見習い工, has been 宣言するd 破産者/倒産した twice

破産者/倒産した at 21

After 卒業生(する)ing with a 法律 degree, Dhonota started working with HSBC putting together the 初めの 計画(する)s for its iconic Canary Wharf building.

'HSBC were one of the first banks that were outsourcing their paperwork to central 過程ing departments so I had an idea to centralise 所有物/資産/財産 sales,' he says.?

'Rather than having individual high street 場所s throughout the 商売/仕事 - this was 支援する in 2000 - we 始める,決める up an office for the whole of Kent.'

At the age of 21, Dhonota grew the 商売/仕事 from 0 to 200 所有物/資産/財産s, and from a team of two to 30.

'I should have had about £1million in my 支援する pocket but I think I had about £25,000. We were always underfunded.?

'The 商売/仕事 was 広大な/多数の/重要な but we were always struggling for refunding, and in the end, whilst we were taking in money, were still making losses.'

The company failed and Dhonota was 宣言するd 破産者/倒産した for three years.

He now says he recognises that he tried to start 'too big' and while he was 警告するd to take いっそう少なく of a centralised approach, that's not what he 手配中の,お尋ね者 to do.

'If we'd opened up some 肉親,親類d of shop on the high street with the wider geographic area that we were 的ing, maybe we could have made it successful.

'I was too 毅然とした in my approach and I didn't listen. These are the sorts of 罠(にかける)s that a lot of young entrepreneurs get into.'

The 見習い工

に向かって the end of his 破産, Dhonota spotted an advert on the BBC website looking for 14 entrepreneurs in the country for a show with Alan Sugar.

At the time the 最高の,を越す prize was a six 人物/姿/数字 salary 職業 with the 実業家, although Dhonota says he was never 特に 利益/興味d in it as a reward.

?I learned nothing from a 商売/仕事 視野 from The 見習い工

'I was there for nine weeks and didn't enjoy any of it. It was more about entertainment than 商売/仕事.

'I'm not ungrateful I've been on the show.?Out of 10,000 people, to be on there and last nine weeks was good [but] I'm afraid to say it has nothing to do with 商売/仕事 and I learned nothing from a 商売/仕事 視野 from The 見習い工.'

Once he left the show, he 始める,決める up another 商売/仕事 which took 保険 (人命などを)奪う,主張するs and data 過程ing, outsourcing it to a team in India.

After four years he 出口d the 商売/仕事. Over the next 10年間, he built six other successful tech 商売/仕事s, 含むing an instant translation service.?

'I've pretty much experienced the highs and lows of 存在 in 商売/仕事. The chances of success are わずかな/ほっそりした… 80 per cent of startups tend to fail within the the first three years. So my success 率… I've done okay.'

Second 破産

After a number of years in the tech world, Dhonota turned his attention to helping other entrepreneurs who were looking to start their own 商売/仕事.

にもかかわらず helping would-be 創立者s with their own 開始する,打ち上げるs, Dhonota was unable to save his own 商売/仕事. The 会社/堅い ended up failing just before the pandemic and he was 宣言するd 破産者/倒産した for a second time.

'That was 負かす/撃墜する to a number of mistakes… I think I could have been a lot 厳格な人 ーに関して/ーの点でs of the entrepreneurs that we were 投資するing in because we were 投資するing at the very highest 危険 段階.

'Before the trouble started, we helped 200 entrepreneurs… it's not that everybody failed it was just the last (製品,工事材料の)一回分 when the 商売/仕事 fell into difficulty.

'At the time I put everything into trying to save the 商売/仕事 because I was trying to help entrepreneurs and the thought of letting 負かす/撃墜する entrepreneurs who had this dream of starting their tech 投機・賭ける like I'd done so many times 以前.'

The 衝撃 of the second 破産 hasn't 段階d Dhonota though, who remains 毅然とした it is part of the ups and 負かす/撃墜するs of 存在 a 実業家.

'明白に you want to 避ける 破産. For me it was I did what I could and it hasnt worked out but it doesnt stop the 旅行. We move on.

'I get that there's a neg ative perception around 破産, but I don't see it that way. I think the mindset needs to change.?

'People struggle everyday in 職業s and do we tell them to stop working and hang up your boots? No we don't. I think whatever those struggles are, you just need to work through.'

He 追加するs that there is more of a stigma 大(公)使館員d to 破産 in the UK than in the US where 'people 受託する bankruptices as part of the entrepreneurial 旅行'.

Taking on the US

Since his second 破産, Dhonota has helped his wife start a beauty 商売/仕事, which is now turning over 近づく to £1million.

At the same time, he has been working on a tech 投機・賭ける to help the professional market in the US.

'I've always had this dream of wanting to go to the US and 開始する,打ち上げる a tech 投機・賭ける and now I can do that. I've had 後退s but I've always tended to come 支援する stronger from my 後退s and I'm hoping it'll be the same.'

This time around though, he won't be putting too much of his own money at 火刑/賭ける, believing it can be done 'organically… and building a team.'

He 計画(する)s on moving to California to find a team of co-創立者s to build a proof of 概念 before approaching 投資家s for 基金ing.

'This is very much like the model that we had 以前 with a lot of 創立者s.?

'There's a lot of 道具s out there that [means] you don't やむを得ず need a lot of money to build apps. It's going to start small… that's the approach.'

While a fresh start in the US might be the goal, two 破産s over his 長,率いる might 証明する difficult for Dhonota.

He is 反抗的な that he can 'use two 破産s in a 肯定的な light… I've got no 推論する/理由 to hide anything.

'History is littered with entrepreneurs that have been 破産者/倒産した once or twice and gone on to be hugely 首尾よく. It's something you want to 避ける but it's happened and I don't let these sorts of things 持つ/拘留する me 支援する.'

With his 注目する,もくろむs 始める,決める 堅固に on Silicon Valley, Dhonota is now looking to find a team of co-創立者s and 可能性のある 投資家s. Could Lord Sugar be the man he's looking for?

'We'd have to sit 負かす/撃墜する and 交渉する. I think Lord Sugar has a 確かな way of doing 商売/仕事. I think the biggest thing that entrepreneurs need is a sounding board of someone who's been there and done it.

'I certainly take value from his knowledge rather than his money. I'm 確信して we can make the 投機・賭ける we can work the 投機・賭ける without a lot of money, but yes having the knowledge he's got, I think it'd be 巨大な to be honest.'
