I’ve not used Plex for a while and I came to use it tonight and all of a sudden it is coming up with the message “error opening file.avi”!?!?!

As far as I know I’ve not changed any settings so am at a loss as to what’s gone wrong!

Music plays fine so I assume it’s a video issue - my DS213 isn’t powerful enough to transcode so I use a workaround by enabling direct play and using either MX player or BS player (both used to work fine!)

Check the file/s in question, it is possible they are damaged or it may be a file permissions error. To confirm the issue, check the Plex logs directly after failing to play a file. Also check that the MXplayer is able to play the file/s directly from your device.
