The above photo of a tall cactuses was taken on my birthday close to the town Ajalpan. The town is a short bus trip away from Tehuac疣, a city in Puebla. The area is the rain shadow of the Sierra Madre de Oaxaca providing an excellent climate for cactuses and scorpions.
The cactuses in the above photo are between 3 and 4 meters high.
