Gabucino saw fit to inform me that: >It's the Question that drives us, Rajesh Fowkar : >> >> VO: [svga] 352x288 => 1280x1047 fs zoom YV12 >> >-nofs -nozoom >> Thanks Gabucino. The above error vanished but I still can not play mpg >> or play vcd's using svga driver ? >Dunno. Could you paste your available modes ? (4 example with xaos-svgalib, >or whatever) >What if you specify different -bpp values? Tried that too. No effect. I entered the modelines as well as the Hor. & Vert. Refresh rates of my Monitor in /etc/vga/libvga.config and enabled the line chipset VESA since there is no mention of chipset i810. After doing this I get the following : --------------------------------------------------------------------------- MPlayer 0.17a-IdegCounter (C) 2000-2001 Arpad Gereoffy <arpi at thot.banki.hu> Reading config file: /etc/mplayer.conf Reading config file: /home/rajesh/.mplayer/config Reading /home/rajesh/.mplayer/codecs.conf: 15 audio & 26 video codecs Font /home/rajesh/.mplayer/font/font.desc loaded successfully! Sorry, selected video_out device is incompatible with this codec. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out the above two errors ?? >From SVGAlib docs : -------- <SNIP> --------------------------- The error: Int 0x10 is not in rom (xxxx:xxxx) is usually caused by running linux using loadlin, after loading a dos tsr that changes the int 10 vector, or after windows 95, that does the same thing. The solution, is either to use lilo, or run loadlin after a clean dos boot. -------- <SNIP> --------------------------- I am booting using GRUB. Even tried booting through LILO, but I am still getting the above error. I don't understand what is the problem ? Any ideas ? Thanks in advance. Sorry for taking your pracious time which u should have spent on coding new features in mplayer - the coolest player.
