[Mplayer-users] Subtitles in VobSub format?

Hi,

I have two files here, which are supposed to be VobSUB-titles, an idx-file
which starts as 

# VobSub index file, v3 (do not modify this line!)

and a sub-file which 'file' denotes as

avifile.sub: MPEG system stream data

No text-file, as far as I have found. 

Is there going to be any support for binary subtitles? (otherwise these files 
are killed, hahaha *diabolical laughter* )
