
Scott Hedrick

Scott Hedrick began working at Pro Athlete, Inc. in 1987 and was named Chief Executive Officer in 1995. Prior to taking Pro Athlete, Inc. on-line in 1999, Hedrick took part in all of the day-to-day functions of the Pro Athlete, Inc. brick and mortar store. As CEO, Hedrick’s main focus is on the customer experience, whether the customer is internal or external. A world class experience for the employees, customers and vendors is how he wants to play the game.
Baseball and softball have always been a big part of Hedrick’s life. His love for the game started as a kid and grew as he played baseball through high school and switched over to slow pitch during the college years. Along with being CEO, Hedrick spent?10 years with the Kansas City Royals as a Lancer. His time as a volunteer member of the sales force allowed Hedrick to gain valuable knowledge and experience that he has applied to Pro Athlete, Inc. today. Hedrick also works closely with local baseball and softball leagues and is a coach for his son’s baseball team.
Scott Hedrick is a native of Kansas City, Missouri and holds a Bachelor’s degree in General Business from Southwest Missouri State University (now Missouri State University).

Clint Donaldson
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Pro Athlete, Inc.
Clint Donaldson was named Chief Operating Officer at Pro Athlete, Inc. in 2008. Donaldson’s main responsibility is to monitor and improve the company’s processes to exceed customer satisfaction. In that capacity, Donaldson has overseen projects such as upgrading the distribution center, customer service systems, supply chain procedures, and human resources processes.
Donaldson began working with Pro Athlete, Inc. in 2004 as a shipping and receiving associate, was promoted to eCommerce Specialist in 2004, and held that position for 4 years prior to becoming COO.
Prior to working at Pro Athlete, Inc. Donaldson held positions within the insurance and finance industries. These positions provided valuable experience in cash flow management, planning, and execution. Donaldson also attributes many of his skills to the valuable lessons learned during his sports career and strongly believes that his leadership has transitioned from the field to the office.
Clint Donaldson, a native of Kansas City, Missouri graduated from William Jewell College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Finance and was a member of the William Jewell Cardinal baseball team during his time there. During his baseball career Donaldson played all throughout the country winning state, regional, and national tournaments.

Brian Kearns
Head of Employee Experience
Pro Athlete, Inc.
Brian Kearns was named head of Employee Experience in early 2011 for Pro Athlete, Inc., following a career in information technology as VP of Technology. As the head of Employee Experience, Kearns’ primary responsibility is to help strategically guide Pro Athlete, Inc’s. desired employee experience by developing, nurturing and engaging employees that facilitate a world class customer experience. Kearns stated, “Our employees are the face of our brand by which the entire company culture is built from.” The implementation of the employee experience department was specially designed to listen to the employees and engage them in activities that both enhance their professional and personal lifestyles. Pro Athlete, Inc. understands the social responsibility of helping to provide an employee experience that increases motivation, improves health and increases efficiency in the workplace that is truly inspirational.
Kearns joined Pro Athlete, Inc. in 1999 when he took on the responsibility of helping build the company’s first web site with his brother Mike Kearns. Along with building the web site, Kearns was the sole IT Network Administrator as well as Product Photographer. Prior to joining Pro Athlete, Inc., Kearns was with Harrington & Coretlyou, Inc. (now owned by Burns & McDonnell), which was a small bridge design firm in Kansas City. He began as a draftsman, but as the company began to transfer from ink on mylar, to computers, Kearns was intrigued by technology. He then spent the rest of his 20 years with the company as the Network Administrator where he assisted the company in the complete transformation to computer-based drawing while also managing all of the hardware and software for the company’s 50 employees and two offices.
The game of baseball has always been close to Kearns’ heart. It has allowed Kearns to share special time with his son who recently played at Central Methodist University. Through the years both Brian and his son formed bonds with players and family members from the various teams they were associated with.
Brian Kearns, a native of Kansas City, Missouri, attended Platt College where he received an Associate’s Degree in Drafting Technology.

Mike Kearns

Mike Kearns was named Chief Technical Officer for Pro Athlete, Inc. in 2010. As Chief Technical Officer, Kearns’ main focus?was making sure the customer had the best possible experience while navigating our many brands. The best possible experience means the site is rich with content, is easy to navigate, is very robust and responsive, and works in all popular browsers. As CTO, Kearns?was involved in not only the support of the websites of the retail customers, but also the support of the internal team accountable for customer service, distribution, product management, financial reporting, and creative media. Now in his new role as Director of eCommerce, Kearns continues to help?Pro Athlete, Inc. define what the essential tools are in the tool belt of successful Internet Baseball Bat / Softball Bat / Baseball Glove / Softball Glove retailers.
Kearns joined Pro Athlete, Inc. in 1999 when he was approached to design the company websites with his brother Brian Kearns. Prior to joining Pro Athlete, Inc., Kearns worked as a consultant for Cap Gemini from 1997 to 2003. Since then, Kearns had an opportunity to get some of the best training in the world while working for Cap Gemini, as well as consulting opportunities that were intense and challenging, such as working on mainframe development and y2k issues. Knowing those opportunities could dry up after 2000 encouraged Kearns to start 5 Star Net, an Internet consulting company, with Brian Kearns in 1997. Kearns learned young as a teenager, after an 0-16 season in little league, that playing baseball was not in his future, so he got his first computer.
