Communicating Checkout to Buyers

The following guidelines have been developed to help you easily communicate the benefits of Google Checkout to your buyers.

Acceptance logos

Let your customers know that you accept Google Checkout by displaying one of our approved acceptance logos on your website. If you use AdWords, the acceptance logos are especially effective when placed on the landing pages of your AdWords ads. Please do not use the Google Checkout button or product logo to communicate acceptance of Google Checkout.

Messaging

To explain the benefits of Google Checkout on your website in newsletters and in other forms of communication please use the following key points as a foundation for your description of Google Checkout:

If you've used Google Checkout before, all you need to do is provide your Checkout username and password to buy from us.
If you're using Google Checkout for the first time, you only have to fill out a single page of information once to make your first purchase. After that, you just need to enter your Google Checkout login to make a purchase. There's no need to re-enter your purchase information or create multiple usernames and passwords each time you buy.

We also encourage you to add 'What is Google Checkout?' links to your website that link to a Google-hosted page that provides your customers with a brief description of Checkout. To view this Google-hosted page, click on the 'What is Google Checkout?' link that appears under the Google Checkout button displayed below. To add this link to your website, simply copy and paste the HTML code from the text box below. The optimal placement of this link is directly under each Google Checkout button that appears on your website.
