Coriander seed is very commonly ground and used in cooking but many people don’t realize it is often an ingredient in tea, especially chai. Whole coriander seeds have a hard to define taste, best described as sweet, savory lemon. Fun fact: while they taste completely different, coriander seeds grow up to be the herb cilantro.
