I like science fiction and fantasy a lot. I am chairman of Link?ings Science Fiction-F?ening (The Link?ing Science Fiction Society) and the science fiction convention ConFuse.

  All the information you need about Babylon 5, and then some.
• Internet Speculative Fiction Database
  A searchable database, primarily about sf/fantasy books, magazines, and awards.
• The Encyclopedia of Arda
  A very good hypertext encyclopedia about Tolkien's Middle-Earth.
• Chris Drumm Books
  My favorite antiquarian bookseller.
• Andromeda Bookshop
  Another antiquarian bookseller, this one on the east side of the Atlantic.

Here are various computer links that I use now and then. I run Linux whenever I can, so most of the links deal with that.

  Most of the information one needs about Linux can be found here.
• Some useful programs:
  • LifeLines, a free genealogical program.
  • Perl GEDCOM tools
  • Utility to reset NT passwords
  • dosemu
    A DOS emulator for Linux (and probably other unixes on intel). It even runs FreeDOS.
  • Wine
    A Windows emulator for any Intel machine that isn't already running Windows.
  • Samba
    An implementation of the SMB protocol in Windows for almost any platform.

  Examples of how not to program.
• The GNUish VMS project
