This is a small, free applications that displays timers on your desktop with different skins and sounds to be played when the countdown is over.

Once you install Free Desktop Timer, a timer will be displayed on your desktop and if you right-click on it, you are able to access the menu to customize it. You can display as many timers as you want, choose a skin from several available or enable a sound to let you know when the time’s up.

Each timer has start/reset functions, as well as down/up arrows so you can set the timer. This tool is very easy to install and use, besides its main functionality, it also allows you to shut down your computer or put it in stand-by.
