July 4th looks so far away. For five-and-a-half weeks, we will be 耐えるing the most boring 選挙運動 in my lifetime.?

Two leaders who are as charismatic as a 非難する in the 直面する with a wet kipper. And then there's Richard Tice (yes, who?) and Ed Davey. Shame you can't 調書をとる／予約する an 早期に holiday while the kids are still in school.

Day two of the 選挙 and already it's as exciting as watching paint 乾燥した，日照りの. Yesterday, Rishi used a 借り切る／憲章d jet to visit three of the nations in the UK in 24 hours, never 除去するing that 確信して smile for an instant.?

Yawn. But there is another way to do politics - South American-style. At the same time as Rishi (smiling, 自然に) was rapturously receiving a new umbrella from one of his MPs, the 大統領 of Argentina was leaping about on 行う／開催する／段階 with a hard-激しく揺する 禁止（する）d whipping up an adoring （人が）群がる of 8,000 fans.?

Javier Milei (known as El Loco - the Madma n) was channelling Sid Vicious in 黒人／ボイコット leather, 叫び声をあげるing 'we can't stop fighting さもなければ the lefties will destroy us'.

活動／戦闘 man, former university professor and punk rocker Milei received 56% of the 投票（する） in last November's 大統領の 選挙, 約束ing to turn around a country rich in 資源s but 苦境に陥るd in 汚職 and 負債.?

For １０年間s, 政治家，政治屋s had squandered billions of pesos and now Argentina is teetering on the 瀬戸際 of 破産, with almost two-thirds of the 全住民 living in poverty and インフレーション running 毎年 at 300%.

Milei is a 大統領 unlike any other: an 経済的なs professor and author for over 20 years, he became 悪名高い for his over-the-最高の，を越す sweary TV rants during lockdown, and was dubbed El Loco - the madman. His motto is simple: THERE IS NO MONEY.

His 政策s are extreme. He's cancelled all public 補助金s, stopped all public construction 事業／計画（する）s and 計画（する）s to lay off 70,000 政府 労働者s.?

He 平価を切り下げるd the peso by 50% and 計画（する）s to switch to the US dollar when the 状況／情勢 is stable. All 政府 support for the poor and 貧困の has been stopped.?

Teachers have been on strike three times, （人命などを）奪う，主張するing they cannot afford to eat. 労働者s complain they cannot afford to travel to their 職業s. Retailers have stopped putting price tags on 商品／売買する and any trip to the shops 要求するs carrying a large 捕らえる、獲得する of cash.

Is Milei really bonkers or an 奮起させるd genius? During his 選挙運動 he carried around a chainsaw, （人命などを）奪う，主張するing he would use it to 切り開く／タクシー／不正アクセス through 汚職.?

He communicates 'telepathically' with his five cloned bull-mastiff dogs (although one died years ago, 補佐官s are too 脅すd to について言及する there are now only four) and has 明らかにする／漏らすd God told him to run for the 大統領／総裁などの地位.

There's no 疑問ing Milei's 知能 and 命令（する） of 経済的なs, but his 支配する on the rea lity of everyday life for ordinary Argentinians might be more tenuous.?

He sees himself as a 激しく揺する god doing a 大規模な clean-up 職業 in the dirty 商売／仕事 of politics. During his 早い rise to the 最高の，を越す he has never been short of 長，率いる-grabbing putdowns.?

He slagged off ローマ法王 Francis (the first Argentinian to lead the カトリック教徒 church), calling him a '左派の（人） son of a bitch'.?

He recently upset the Spanish 総理大臣, dubbing him '全体主義者 and arrogant' and 述べるing his wife as corrupt. Spain has 孤立した their 外交官／大使 永久的に, but Milei doesn't seem bothered.

The 大統領 hates lefties, 共産主義者s, isn't keen on 環境の 問題／発行するs or gender equality 法律s. And yet he won the 選挙 by a 地滑り with a 右翼 連合 and has never been out of the news. 投票者s are riveted by this narcissistic 軍隊 of nature.

For the moment, though, his extreme 策略 to solve the 経済的な woes 直面するing Argentina are 原因（となる）ing 苦痛 and hardship - and how long will they need to continue? インフレーション has continued to rise, but far more slowly.?

一方／合間, his sister Karina - a former tarot card reader - guards 接近 to the 大統領, who is up every night until the small hours mouthing off on social マスコミ. Sounds familiar?

How very different to boring, bland - but still almost as broke - Britain.

Our 選挙 is a dreary recital of 消極的なs and vague 約束s of 'change'. Argentinians have 選ぶd for an exciting 激しく揺する god masquerading as a 政治家，政治屋 - 申し込む／申し出ing not change but 革命.

Just be 感謝する we don't have to live there.
