A shameful victory for 夜盗,押し込み強盗s

THE GREATEST 失敗 of all 政党s in the past half-century has been their 無(不)能 to 保護する the public against an ever-rising tide of 罪,犯罪 and 犯罪のs.

Sadly, there is always 範囲 for this to get worse. In the review of Norfolk 農業者 Tony ツバメ's 事例/患者 by the 仮釈放(する) Board this week, it just did.

Most of us need no reminding that Mr ツバメ is in 刑務所,拘置所 for 狙撃 two 夜盗,押し込み強盗s - one of whom died - who were (罪などを)犯すing the 最新の of a 一連の (警察の)手入れ,急襲s at his 孤立するd house. Understandably, Mr ツバメ doesn't like 夜盗,押し込み強盗s. By keeping him in 刑務所,拘置所 for as long as possible, the 仮釈放(する) Board 明言する/公表するs やめる 率直に that 夜盗,押し込み強盗s deserve 保護 from him.

This preposterous inversion of morality will 怒り/怒る millions of 権利-thinking people, whether or not they are on the ever-lengthening 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる) of 犠牲者s of criminality. It is a little like locking up the parents of 殺人d children because they are a danger to paedophiles.

I do not 容赦する 殺人,大当り. However, this nonsense about (許可,名誉などを)与えるing 権利s to people who make a career 決定/判定勝ち(する) to be 犯罪のs has gone far enough.

Two factors must tell in Mr ツバメ's favour. First, the police presence in his remote part of the Fens was almost 非,不,無-existent, にもかかわらず 証拠 that 所有物/資産/財産s were 存在 的d by gypsies like those who burgled him.

Householders who had been burgled were told that, if they gave 証拠 against such people, the police could not 保証(人) their safety. That part of 田舎の England is a place where, because of a 完全にする 失敗 of will by the 当局, the 支配する of 法律 appears to have broken 負かす/撃墜する.

Second, much is made of the fact that Mr ツバメ is an '半端物' man. It is still not a 罪,犯罪 to be 半端物 in this country, though no 疑問 the Home Office has a 合法的な team working on that, too. Mr ツバメ had 明確に been driven to the 辛勝する/優位 of 推論する/理由 by the repeated 侵略s of his 所有物/資産/財産 and the 窃盗 of his 所持品. And it is not 半端物 for him to hate 夜盗,押し込み強盗s: everyone should.

We were 扱う/治療するd recently to the spectacle of the man he 負傷させるd, Brendan Fearon, using 合法的な 援助(する) to 告訴する for 損害賠償金 for what happened to him. In a last 痕跡 of 合法的な ありふれた sense, the 事例/患者 was thrown out, but not before the taxpayer had had to stump up for Fearon's utterly immoral stunt. However, the thinking needs to be more rigorous still.

These days, 夜盗,押し込み強盗s are not old lags in (土地などの)細長い一片d jerseys who carry 捕らえる、獲得するs 示すd 'swag'. They are usually young, strong men 捜し出すing money to 基金 麻薬 habits. They are likely to be deranged by their 中毒s and 欠如(する)ing in the basic regard for human life. In short, they have to be 推定するd to be 極端に dangerous.

The 法律 needs to understand that if someone breaks into your house, the 恐れる you, as a householder, feel in 存在 thus 侵害する/違反するd is ありそうもない to 許す you the best possible judgment on how to 反応する. And if it is the fifth or sixth time you have been burgled, your reaction is likely to be all the more 熱烈な.

ONE is 軍隊d to burgle. They make a choice to do so. The householder has no choice. Any 傷害 (打撃,刑罰などを)与えるd on a 夜盗,押し込み強盗 should be regarded by the 法律 as an occupational hazard. Householders should be able to take whatever means are 要求するd to defend themselves and their 所有物/資産/財産.

陪審/陪審員団s ought, if not 脅迫してさせるd, to be sensible enough to realise when somebody has engaged in a gratuitous 殺人, or when they have been 押し進めるd to the 限界s of endurance.

As one of his 支持者s said, Tony ツバメ is now a political 囚人. A 政府 that (人命などを)奪う,主張するs to be 堅い on 罪,犯罪 and the 原因(となる)s of 罪,犯罪 has no 商売/仕事 inventing '権利s' for those who choose to make the lives of decent people utterly 哀れな.

Fundamentally, though, there is no 代用品,人 for the police ending the 迫害 of 運転者s and, instead, 存在 a 明白な and constant presence in areas where 押し込み強盗 is はびこる.

If not, the public will feel it has no choice but to take the 法律 into it s own 手渡すs - and it would be hypocritical of the socalled 軍隊s of 法律 and order to punish it for that.

WAS MR HAIN AFRAID?

FOR months, 大臣s have been (人命などを)奪う,主張するing they want a 審議 on the 提案するd European 憲法.We are still waiting. I was hoping to appear on 無線で通信する 4 on Thursday with Peter Hain, whose 非,不,無-職業 as Welsh 長官 is 補足(する)d by his 存在 the 大臣 in 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金 of 監視するing the 条約 製図/抽選 up the 憲法. Sadly, Mr Hain had to be interviewed 分かれて rather than joining in an 交流 of 見解(をとる)s with me.

Several 労働 大臣s who have seen the 草案 憲法 are known to be horrified by it. I wonder if Mr Hain is one of them. If 労働 grandees won't 審議 this 決定的な 問題/発行する, we can only assume they know they have the weakest 事例/患者 to put to the public.

THERE is an old phrase about 'the 十分な majesty of the 法律'. The suggestions by the Lord (ドイツなどの)首相/(大学の)学長's office that the ornate 式服s 裁判官s wear should be トンd 負かす/撃墜する, and wigs dispensed with altogether, is sadly typical of the 願望(する) to 妨げる 裁判,公判s 存在 対決s with 当局. Sadly, that is 正確に/まさに what they are - or should be. The 政府 ought not to be encouraging the 薄めること of the image of the few remaining 当局 人物/姿/数字s we have left in society.

HOW much longer is Tony Blair 用意が出来ている to 許容する Clare Short running (犯罪の)一味s around him? First, she 持つ/拘留するs on to her 閣僚 place にもかかわらず …に反対するing the war; now she 辞退するs to 投票(する) for his 旗艦 政策 of 創立/基礎 hospitals.

Our 政府 is based on the 原則 of 集団の/共同の 責任/義務. It humiliates Mr Blair for him to have to keep in the テント someone who 侵害する/違反するs that 支配する. Also, Ms Short must be careful: her own 評判 as a 原則d and saintly 人物/姿/数字 is 存在 irreparably (名声などを)汚すd by her 拒絶 to do the decent thing and 辞職する over her many 不一致s with her leader.

HOW depressing that, just because it has experienced a small 減少(する) in aud ience, 無線で通信する 3 is (刑事)被告 of 存在 'too highbrow-The BBC is supposed to cater for everybody, 含むing serious, educated people who like classical music and challenging factual programmes. The last thing that should happen is for 無線で通信する 3 to be turned into a replica of the bite-sized Classic FM. If the BBC privatised 無線で通信する 1, which is 黒字/過剰 to 必要物/必要条件s, or stopped making institutionally-左派の(人) rubbish like last night's appalling Cambridge 秘かに調査するs on BBC2, it could use the money to make 無線で通信する 3 even better than it already is.

An 侮辱 to the 勇敢に立ち向かう

THE NEW 大司教 of Canterbury, Rowan Williams, had a perfect 権利 to …に反対する the Iraq war, even if some of us 堅固に 同意しないd with him.

He has いっそう少なく of a 権利, as the spiritual leader of our 設立するd Church, to disapprove of a thanksgiving service for our victory.

It is said he 恐れるs it would be triumphalist. But ought not his church celebrate the 勝利 of good over evil? If he thinks that Saddam should still be in 力/強力にする, 拷問ing, 殺人ing and plotting international mayhem, then he isn't fit to be even a curate, let alone an 大司教.

Also, his 不本意 is an 侮辱 not 単に to the families of those gallant men who died in that good 原因(となる), but to the thousands who happily 生き残るd, and for whose 安全な return we all せねばならない give thanks.
