Why men should say no to the Pill

I'm all for men and women 株ing 責任／義務 for contraception, but the news that scientists have invented a 100 per cent 効果的な male Pill worries me.

Not because, as some people have been 説, you can't 信用 men to take it, but because when you 干渉する with one hormone there is a knock-on 影響 on the whole endocrine system.

When the Pill was introduced for women in the Sixties it, too, was （人命などを）奪う，主張するd to be 100 per cent 効果的な with no short-称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語 味方する 影響s. We now know that to be untrue. Countless women 苦しむ bloating, PMT aggravation, 肌 problems, 負わせる 伸び（る） and 不景気 when taking the pill.

Even more worryingly, so many women now take the pill that it has started to 影響する／感情 hormone levels in our water 供給（する）. There is no water filter system 利用できる that can 除去する 完全に all hormones from public water 供給（する）s.

Scandinavian 熟考する／考慮するs have shown that men's sperm count is at an かつてない low as a consequence.

The male Pill sounds good, but we need to do our homework before 急ぐing to embrace these 明らかに 平易な '解答s'.

Sara Cox

'Ladette' DJ Sara Cox has been dropped from the 無線で通信する 1 Breakfast Show. Sara is 明確に talented, but she is an example of a woman taking on the worst 面s of lad culture in an 試みる／企てる to compete with her male peers. Remember those pictures of her and Zoe Ball waving 瓶／封じ込めるs of whisky as they （機の）カム out of yet another party?

Too many women go into self-destruct 方式 when 直面するd with a male-支配するd 産業. Now the foul-mouthed Chris Moyles is taking over from Cox. So, it's 承認する?or men to be yobbish, but not women...

Sara is only 28, and she needs to refocus and get 支援する on 跡をつける. It must be a blow to her pride and self-esteem to have been dropped from the morning show, but now she can take the next few months to think about how she wants the next ten years of her life to be.

Pop idol

For the pa st few weeks, I've been 麻薬中毒の on Pop Idol and Fame 学院. Fame 学院 勝利者, Alex Parks, is an 驚くべき／特命の／臨時の talent - I?aven't seen the like of her in years. There's a large 次第で変わる／派遣部隊 of pop 星／主役にするs who 持つ／拘留する this 過程 of producing talent in contempt. So I think it's 広大な／多数の／重要な that a TV show can sock it to all those music snobs.

Pop Idol is lots of fun, too - I was 麻薬中毒の on the first series. But there's one thing about the show that I find a bit puzzling. As the 決勝戦 approach, the contestants have a team around them to coach their 発言する／表明するs and help choose their songs and outfits. Yet nine times out of ten, when the singer steps on to the podium, the 裁判官s deride these choices. Surely, these are 批評s of the 生産／産物 team's 成果／努力s rather than the singer?

The irony is that when I see the Pop Idol contestants in rehearsals, they all look 広大な／多数の／重要な in their own 着せる／賦与するs - in fact, much better than they do up on 行う／開催する／段階.

Adrian Brady, a 顧問 cardiologist at Glasgow 王室の Infirmary, has （人命などを）奪う，主張するd that high cholesterol levels are 'mostly hereditary', and that に引き続いて a low-fat diet won't help 苦しんでいる人s.

I've heard many stupid 発言／述べるs from the 医療の profession, but 非，不，無 as baseless as this. 基本的に, Brady is giving people carte blanche to eat and drink what they want.

Yes, many physical and emotional problems can be hereditary, but changes in lifestyle and diet have a 抱擁する 影響, too. The nutritionists and doctors that I've worked with over the years would 絶対 支持する - for all people - changes in these areas.

It's my 見解（をとる） that learned behaviour is far more of a problem that hereditary illness. Bad habits and an 不本意 to take 責任／義務 for one's own health can have dangerous consequences.

good company

The ユダヤ人の Chronicle's editor, Ned Temko, has 指名するd me as one of the 最高の，を越す 20 people he would like to 招待する to celebrate the ユダヤ人の New Year.

I was touched to have been 含むd alon gside brilliant people such as Sir Antony Sher, 長，指導者 Rabbi Jonathan?acks, Mel Brooks and author David Grossman.

But I have no 疑問 that there were a few raised eyebrows at some of the characters who were 含むd - 同様に as those who were left out.

For those of you who didn't realise, I am 適格の for the 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） because both my parents are ユダヤ人の -?my family is one ４半期/4分の1 ポーランドの（人） Yugoslavian and three-４半期/4分の1s ロシアの.

Temko said that he chose people who are intelligent, 利益／興味ing, 挑発的な and outrageous.?'m not 説 I'm all those things, but it's 広大な／多数の／重要な to see that there are 新聞記者／雑誌記者s out there 令状ing 前向きに／確かに about people who don't やむを得ず fit the mould - as …に反対するd to those that go out on a 四肢 to destroy their 的 of the moment.

Guru hair

One newspaper last week （人命などを）奪う，主張するd that I had 'guru hair', and before that another 出版（物） said I had 'nylon hair'. It's like 存在 支援する in 幼稚園!

Whatever will they say next? Answers on a postcard please.
