MAYBE if Lennox 吊りくさび were to mow 負かす/撃墜する the No.1 競争相手s from all the world ボクシング 団体/死体s in one night of mayhem, America would give him his 予定.

Maybe not.

What more, pray, does our man have to do to 証明する himself the 最高の prize 闘士,戦闘機 on the 惑星?

The 爆発 of primeval 力/強力にする 抑えるのをやめるd by 吊りくさび in the (犯罪の)一味 here on Saturday made the indoor 花火s which 先触れ(する)d his first defence of the indisputable heavyweight 選手権 of the world seem like the pulling of a cheap Christmas cracker.

The tickertape salute to his victory, 解放(する)d from the 天井 of Madison Square Garden, was a nice touch but nothing fell more ひどく nor with greater frequency than the young 巨大(な) sent in hope of retrieving the heavyweight 栄冠を与える for America.

Michael 認める was pulverised 支援する into oblivion in seven seconds short of two 一連の会議、交渉/完成するs.

That he 生き残るd that long was a 奇蹟 in itself for this devout Christian. The ground shook every time he was 攻撃する,衝突する by 吊りくさび and each time he went 負かす/撃墜する it was as if New York had been struck by an 地震.

Three times in the first 一連の会議、交渉/完成する 認める lurched 支援する to his feet as if impersonating a drunk on an escalator. When another 権利 uppercut (判決などを)下すd him 水平の for the fourth it was final.

There he lay, 6ft 7in and 250lb of natural 競技者 stretched at the feet of an Englishman.

This, remember, was America's 広大な/多数の/重要な heavyweight hope. 認める had been 厳選した as the 挑戦者 most likely to take home the 宗教上の grail, yet even as the WBC and IBF belts were strapped 支援する around the 吊りくさび torso, America was still in 否定, as were 確かな elements of British ボクシング, sad to say.

That churlish 不本意 to 認める the 価値(がある) of 吊りくさび engaged the Broadway critics in 迅速な 修正主義. Even those who had tipped 認める to 勝利,勝つ (機の)カム to the sudden realisation that he was a novice who had no 権利 存在 in the same (犯罪の)一味 as 吊りくさび in the first place.

When Th e Champ 配達するd the みごたえのある victory they had been 需要・要求するing, rather than one of his more familiar 演習s in ボクシング technique, it was still not enough.

'The trouble with us damn Yankees is that we're xenophobic,' said Seth Abraham, boss of HBO, whose cable TV 網状組織 財政/金融d the event. 'We didn't want to enter World War One.

We didn't want to enter World War Two. Now we don't want to recognise Lennox 吊りくさび. It all fits.' So pre-著名な is 吊りくさび that the divide between 支持する/優勝者 and 競争相手s is as wide as when the 伝説の 'Brown 爆撃機', Joe Louis, was (警官の)巡回区域,受持ち区域ing up a bum a month.

'Lennox could do the same,' said his master trainer Emanuel Steward. 'There is no-one to give him any real 脅し at the moment and I don't see anyone coming up who is remotely in his class.

'許すing that we always go into training (軍の)野営地,陣営 for eight weeks, I can see Lennox fighting, and winning, four times a year for as long as he feels like it.' At 34 and with the world, literally, at his feet he feels like it for a while yet. 'I will carry on ボクシング while I'm 満足させるd,' he said. 'And 権利 now I'm 極端に 満足させるd every time I step into the (犯罪の)一味.' 吊りくさび is at the 高さ of his 力/強力にするs, as his 最新の 犠牲者 will 証言する.

認める said: 'The first upper- 削減(する) destroyed my equilibrium. I was numb for the 残り/休憩(する) of the fight.' 吊りくさび is also enjoying himself immensely - 'every time I 攻撃する,衝突する him he went 負かす/撃墜する so I thought I'd just keep hitting him' - while 減ずるing his 対抗者 to a 明言する/公表する of lathered 逮捕.

The born-again 認める prayed so long and so intently before answering the knock on the dressing-room door, and was then sweating so profusely, that his long walk to the (犯罪の)一味 was reminiscent of Frank Bruno crossing himself umpteen times on his way to 会合,会う マイク Tyson the second time.

認める 否定するd he was nervous but he looked more like a man 長,率いるing for the gallows than the biggest 適切な時期 of his life. Still, good as his 約束, he went 非難する at 吊りくさび but only, as it turn ed out, like a bull drawn に向かって the matador.

認める's 勢い landed him a 激しい 開始 権利 to the 味方する of the 吊りくさび 長,率いる followed by five pumped-up jabs. Six solid blows in all. What he failed to realise was that he was playing into 吊りくさび's 握りこぶしs.

'I had the superior 手渡す 速度(を上げる) and I could always see him winding up,' said 吊りくさび. 'I was delighted and I must say a bit shocked that he (機の)カム out that way. All I had to do was 持つ/拘留する my position until I saw the 開始.' Out (機の)カム a 権利 uppercut from hell. 負かす/撃墜する went 認める. Up he staggered only to be 床に打ち倒すd by another clubbing 権利. The bigger man was 存在 chopped 負かす/撃墜する to size so remorselessly that he looked shorter than 吊りくさび even when he was standing up, which was not for long.

Courage, 認める has aplenty. He rose again, to be met by the most vicious 権利 of all and although he (警官の)巡回区域,受持ち区域 the count he might not have been able to continue had it not been 正確に/まさに at the end of the 一連の会議、交渉/完成する.

'I was surprised his corner sent him 支援する out for the second,' said 吊りくさび.

More 罰 was 必然的な and before the bell (死傷者)数d again the last uppercut finished a 職業 sensationally done.

The Americans, who had bitten the 弾丸 by electing him the 闘士,戦闘機 of the Year at a Broadway dinner the night before, still 設立する it all hard to swallow.

As Abraham said: 'Lennox probably won't get the 尊敬(する)・点 he deserves until he's retired and people start remembering he was the man who (警官の)巡回区域,受持ち区域 Evander Holyfield twice along with everyone else they put in 前線 of him. This has helped. We like our heavyweights to knock people out and Lennox has certainly done that.'
