臆病な/卑劣な way to betray your fanS

THE 30,000 bonnie lads and lasses who had coughed up 続けざまに猛撃するs 40 for the 最新の 引き裂く-off in replica team shirts, then swallowed a month's 給料 in Newcastle Brown Ale en 大勝する to Wembley were left with mixed emotions.

As Manchester 部隊d stepped up to collect the silver トロフィー which hallmarked their third classic 二塁打 in five seasons - 解除するing them on to the last 脚 of the ultimate Anglo-European Treble - one of the stout lads in 黒人/ボイコット and white (土地などの)細長い一片s told them 正確に/まさに where to go.

No, not Barcelona. He gave his 指示/教授/教育 in two explicit words of one syllable.

Then, すぐに, he recanted: 'Hell, na. Ah should'na ha' said that. But ah just canna find the words for mah own team.' Let me say it for him.

Newcastle 部隊d betrayed those stupendously loyal fans. The 犯罪 for that lies squarely between their cringing team and its posturing 経営者/支配人.

It is not the losing which 感情を害する/違反するs - heaven knows these 支持者s have become accustomed to 失望 at Wembley it is the disgraceful manner of 敗北・負かす.

Too many players (機の)カム out with the shabby 意図 of 脅迫してさせるing any members of Alex Ferguson's team who might not have fancied getting 傷つける four days before the biggest match of their lives.

It was a 臆病な/卑劣な 強襲,強姦 on better footballers.

Because as soon as it became (疑いを)晴らす Manchester were unwilling to give up the English League and Cup 二塁打 in return for uninjured passage to Wednesday's Final of Europe's 支持する/優勝者s League - and were ready to kick 支援する most of Ruud Gullit's 味方する 瓶/封じ込めるd it 完全に.

As a game 計画(する), it was shameful. Nor were Newcastle helped by the naive way their trendy foreign 経営者/支配人 (軍隊を)展開する,配備するd his 軍隊s.

'Sexy,' is how Gullit, in his dreadlocked hair and designer 控訴s, likes to char-acterise his football philosophy.

戦術の 自殺 would be a more 正確な description of the way he 申し込む/申し出d acres of Wembley's 広大な midfield space to the markedly sup erior individuals under Fergu-son's 命令(する).

Gullit had 公約するd to make this Final 'very, very difficult' for a 部隊d team fighting on three 前線s. Instead, he sacrificed the Geordie army on the altar of a personal self-信用/信任 国境ing on arrogance.

This was sport's 同等(の) of the 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金 of the Light 旅団 except that, on Saturday, the 爆撃するs were 存在 解雇する/砲火/射撃d not from ロシアの 大砲s but by another 大隊 of the English field game.

Not even the fully エリート Manchester 分割, at that. Of the team which kicked off against Newcastle, barely half will be in the starting 顔触れ against Bay-ern Munich this Wednesday.

Even so, and even after the loss of powerhouse captain Roy Keane inside the first 10 minutes, Messrs Scholes, Sheringham, Beckham, Cole, Giggs and Solskjaer might have filled their boots with one of the heaviest victories in Cup Final history.

Most of the 79,000 - in unison, unhappily, with the cricket congregation watching South Africa maul England across London at The Oval - were 説 there was only one team in it.

In truth, at Wembley, there was only half a team in it and that was more than enough to see off Newcastle.

Two-nil was a let-off. A four or five-goal Manchester 勝利,勝つ would have been par for this match. Six or seven would not have flattered them as the 対立 sagged from 早期に 誘発 to abject 降伏する.

No wonder the Newcastle faithful saw it all in 黒人/ボイコット and white. This was worse than 敗北・負かす to 兵器庫 by the 同一の scoreline on the same big day out last May. This was worse than that 3-0 押し寄せる/沼地ing by Liverpool 支援する in 1974 and the 楽観的な days of 最高の-Mac.

At least on those occasions, they went 負かす/撃墜する fighting.

This time they (機の)カム out kicking only to give up without much of a fight at all, their 汚い 態度 構内/化合物d by 策略 which ran the players into that sapping turf while chasing Mancunian 影をつくる/尾行するs.

How the cash-strapped, success-餓死するd folk from the northeast could keep 元気づける their 味方する to the bitter end is beyond most of the 残り/休憩(する) of us.

Where so many beaten (人が)群がるs at the 最高潮 to this season have 沈下するd into pathetic vales of 涙/ほころびs Chelsea and 兵器庫 fans 目だつ の中で the weepies as the Cup-勝利者s' Cup and the 首相の職 were lost - the Geordies sang on with sound heart. If only their heroes had graced the day with such honesty of spirit.

Then, perhaps, Ferguson might not have been able to turn it into a Cup Final 遠出 for the boys.

Dwight Yorke and Jaap Stam, both of whom had been grieving at the thought of 存在 held 支援する for Barcelona, could be given their taste of Wembley as Newcastle fizzled out.

Bayern Munich cannot fail to be an altogether more 実験(する)ing proposition for Manchester 部隊d, although that is not 説 much.

As for Newcastle Disjointed, howay the lads some out of St James' Park for good, no 疑問, some of the others to 反映する upon how they let 負かす/撃墜する the good people who have put them on a pedestal with a fortune which, this 週末, they did not deserve.
