It's because I was a 9-year-old 難民 that I have such contempt for those unelected buffoons in the Lords trying to 破壊行為 the 法案 to stop small boats, 令状s PROFESSOR FRANK FUREDI
As a child 老年の just nine, I 耐えるd the longest and most terrifying night of my life, 逃げるing with my family from our home.
Nearly 70 years later, every 詳細（に述べる） of that escape is still 燃やすd into my memory. All my life I have had the deepest sympathy for fellow 難民s: those who leave behind everything they own and everyone they know to reach safety.
Yet I have an 平等に 猛烈な／残忍な 憤慨 of those who 偉業／利用する Britain's 乗り気 to help 難民s and 嘘（をつく） for personal 伸び（る） ― both the 違法な people-traffickers and dishonest 経済的な migrants.
And I have nothing but contempt for the buffoons in the House of Lords who are manifestly failing to make a proper distinction between 本物の 難民s and those who are playing the system.
By 辞退するing to 認める this difference, the blowhards in the 参議院 who are 封鎖するing the 違法な 移住 法案 make it even harder for those whose lives are truly at 火刑／賭ける.
It was at the beginning of winter in 1956 that the Furedi family fled Hungary. My father was one of the leaders of the 労働者s' 会議s in Budapest organising 抵抗 to Soviet Union 支配（する）／統制する. That 最高潮に達するd in an 反乱, which was mercilessly 鎮圧するd by Red Army 戦車／タンクs and 軍隊／機動隊s.

If caught, my father 直面するd a long 刑務所，拘置所 宣告，判決 at the very least, probably 拷問 and even 死刑執行. My 勇敢に立ち向かう 18-year-old sister Judith, 一方／合間, had been a student 行動主義者, taking food from the countryside to the 反逆者／反逆するs in the city.
I was too young to しっかり掴む it all but I understood, as we hurried to the 鉄道 駅／配置する, that we were leaving everything behind for ever.
I had only a little 捕らえる、獲得する over my shoulders, not even a スーツケース, because we dared not carry anything that might tip off the ロシアの 兵士s that we were 逃げるing.
We got off the train about 12 miles from the Austrian 国境 and 長，率いるd to a rendezvous: a farmhouse where other 難民s were 密談する／（身体を）寄せ集めるd and waiting.
Later that same night, a guide led us in the direction of the 国境. We walked in 完全にする 不明瞭, not daring to make a sound. Soviet patrols were scouring the roads, and every time they sent up a ゆらめく we had to 攻撃する，衝突する the ground and 嘘（をつく） still, hardly daring to breathe.
Judith, who loved to look glamorous no 事柄 what, was wearing high heels. These broke within the first hour and she was left limping and hobbling along. I'm afraid that, 老年の nine, I thought this was very funny. But I knew enough to be 脅すd witless when, after walking all night, we were lit up in the dazzling glare of トラックで運ぶ headlights. For a few seconds, we were all 確かな that the Soviet 兵士s had 設立する us.
All these 改正s were rightly thrown out by the ありふれたs. But, absurdly, the unelected House of Lords is 解放する／自由な to reinsert 改正s at its leisure, and then return the 法案 to the ありふれたs ― and it did just that
In fact, the トラックで運ぶ was an Austrian 救急車. We were over the 国境, 安全な in the 解放する／自由な West. Our next few weeks were spent in a 難民 輸送 （軍の）野営地，陣営, thousands of people living in 抱擁する 兵舎, each with 80 metal （軍の）野営地，陣営 beds and the most basic 施設s.
We had nothing but a 捕らえる、獲得する of 着せる／賦与するs, and $15 in U.S. 通貨 ($170 tod ay) that my father had somehow 得るd. Everything else was left behind for ever. We had our lives, and that was enough.
Perhaps it isn't hard, even for readers who have never had to experience anything remotely like that, to understand my emotions when I read this week of migrants who complain that their three-星／主役にする hotels in London are insufficiently comfortable, and that the wifi is too slow.
I know how real 難民s feel: thankful to be alive.
And we have a 義務 to help those in desperate danger today, which is why in March last year, a month after Russia 侵略するd ウクライナ共和国, I travelled to Eastern Europe to learn what practical steps I could take to 補助装置 難民s.
事実上の／代理 on the same 動機s, generous Daily Mail readers 与える／捧げるd to raising £12 million for the newspaper's 控訴，上告 to help Ukrainians 逃げるing the war.
I know how real 難民s feel: thankful to be alive, 令状s Professor Fr ank Furedi?
Yet those 本物の 難民s are 存在 betrayed by the House of Lords and its 試みる／企てるs to 封鎖する the 政府's new 移民／移住 法律s. There is something truly nauseating about their 策略.

This group of self-満足させるd hypocrites, oozing sanctimony, have decided that they have the moral 当局 to 土台を崩す every serious 試みる／企てる to 支配（する）／統制する the flow of migrants into Britain.
They believe that the 法律 on 移住 should be 始める，決める and 形態／調整d by an unelected 議会 rather than the elected House of ありふれたs.
On Tuesday, the ありふれたs tried to shovel its way through an 雪崩／（抗議などの）殺到 of 改正s from the Lords, all ーするつもりであるd to 停止（させる） the 法案 by making it unworkable.
Some of the 動議s were blatantly designed to 難破させる the 法律制定 完全に.
They sought to 課す deliberately impossible time 限界s on the Home Office, 強いる the Home 長官 to 始める，決める out '安全な and 合法的な 大勝するs' for 移住 into Britain within two months of the 法案 becoming 法律, and 制限する the 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） of countries to which gay people could be 除去するd. One of the most distasteful was an 試みる／企てる to make it easier for adult migrants to （人命などを）奪う，主張する to be children ― as a 41-year-old man did recently when he tried to pass himself off as a teenage 難民.
All these 改正s were rightly thrown out by the ありふれたs. But, absurdly, the unelected House of Lords is 解放する／自由な to reinsert 改正s at its leisure, and then return the 法案 to the ありふれたs ― and it did just that.
The Lords 拒絶するd the 政府's 試みる／企てる to 延長する the 量 of time children can be 拘留するd and also 投票（する）d to 復帰させる 保護s for people （人命などを）奪う，主張するing to be 犠牲者s of trafficking, 同様に as a number of other 改正s.
It is a farcical game of political ping-pong.
一方／合間, the number of migrants to have 不法に crossed the Channel this year in small boats has already reached more than 12,500. And there is little 証拠 that the 十分な-year total will be any lower than the 人物／姿／数字 for 2022 ― and certainly not if the Lords has its way.
Many of these peers 住む a fantasy world. The 急に上がるing numbers of 違法な migrants entering Britain don't lose them any sleep at night. In their ermined world, any 試みる／企てる to find a practical 解答 to the problem is 解任するd as 'isolationist', 'morally 容認できない' and 'impractical'.
The BBC is 平等に detached from reality. Listening to the 無線で通信する 4 Today programme this week, I marvelled at the naivety of presenter Nick Robinson as he asked migrants why they paid large sums of money to people-traffickers to be brought 不法に to Britain.

The BBC might 同様に ask a 夜盗，押し込み強盗 what 動機づけるs him to break into a house and steal the television. The 推論する／理由 is obvious. It's an 投資.
No one can かもしれない （人命などを）奪う，主張する that the thousands of people crossing the Channel in dinghies 供給（する）d by organised 罪，犯罪 ギャング（団）s are all 逃げるing fo r their lives. They are in no 即座の danger of 迫害 or violent 圧迫 in フラン.
違法な 移住 構成するs a 脅し to the 正直さ of Britain. It must be stopped. That is why the haughty moralistic トン 可決する・採択するd by the Lords is so immoral.
They are neutralising the distinction between need and greed, between 難民s and chancers, between the 合法的な and the 違法な.
As a university sociologist, listening to the whining in the Lords, I cannot help but draw the 結論 that the very 存在 of this narcissistic, unelected, unaccountable 議会 is a political 汚職 of 僕主主義.
Their self-regarding virtue-signalling 課すs a 激しい 重荷（を負わせる） on the lives of ordinary taxpayers up and 負かす／撃墜する the country.
It is 決定的な that our elected 代表者／国会議員s have the final word on a 事柄 of such importance to Britain's 未来.
