'On Saturday, the English language online 見解／翻訳／版 of Pravda published an 編集（者）のする権利を与えるd "MH17: s ome 結論s - did Nato try to 殺人 Putin?"'

When my grand-father’s cousin Lev Germanovich Leibson visited Britain in the 中央の-Seventies, he was shocked to find the 産業の大混乱 that 最高潮に達するd in the winter of discontent.

He was shocked, because as a Soviet 国民 he had read about it in Pravda ― and therefore assumed it could not be true.

As the USSR’s 主要な molecular endocrinologist, Lev was one of the academic エリート ― さもなければ he would not have been 許すd to visit London for a 医療の会議／協議会 during the 冷淡な War.

But it would not have much bothered those who churned out 宣伝 for the Soviet 明言する／公表する that a sophisticated 知識人 regarded everything they wrote as lies (供給するd he never said it 公然と): their 関心 was that it be believed by the 集まりs.

That is also the 見解（をとる） of 大統領 Putin as the マスコミ組織／臓器s of the ロシアの明言する／公表する engage in the 仕事 of concocting an 代案／選択肢 account of why 298 men, women and children were blown out of the skies above Eastern ウクライナ共和国.

代案／選択肢, that is, to the 圧倒的な probability that their 殺害者s were Ukrainian 分離主義者s 供給（する）d with the necessary ミサイル発射台s by the ロシアの?軍の.

One of the problems with 建設するing such an 代案／選択肢 narrative is that Malaysian Flight MH17 was 飛行機で行くing from West to East ― which is why it would have been thought by the ロシアの-支援するd 分離主義者s manning the ミサイル殴打／砲列 to be a 軍の輸送（する） flight from Kiev.?

The simplest way 一連の会議、交渉／完成する that (apart from ignoring the bugged open phone-line conversations that 示唆する this is 正確に／まさに how it happened) is to 宣言する it was blown up by the Kiev 政府正確にーするために discredit the 反逆者／反逆するs.

This was the 初期の approach of the 長，率いる of the Kremlin’s English language television channel, Russia Today: he retweeted the opinion that Ukrainian ‘freaks’ were responsible, who would 非難するプロの／賛成の-ロシアの闘士，戦闘機s. But Pravda ― which means ‘truth’, so it’s 指名するd after the 行方不明の成分 ― produced a much more (a)手の込んだ／(v)詳述する試みる／企てる.

On Saturday, the English language online 見解／翻訳／版 of this still 共産主義者 party-owned 出版（物） published an 編集（者）のする権利を与えるd ‘MH17: some 結論s ― did Nato try to 殺人 Putin?’ 公式文書，認める the use of the word ‘結論s’ even as Russia tells the 残り／休憩（する） of the world not to jump to any.

The article 特記する／引用するs 身元不明の ‘目撃者s’ who saw Ukrainian airforce jets ‘…を伴ってing MH17’ and ‘rumours that 大統領 Putin was believed to be 飛行機で行くing over the same 大勝する at the same time’.

It continues: ‘Sources who have asked not to be 指名するd have （人命などを）奪う，主張するd that the ロシアの大統領’s 航空機 has very 類似の contours and colouring to MH17 and that both 航空機 intersected at the same point and 高度 at a 類似の time.

‘In the event it did not 飛行機で行く over ウクライナ共和国, but the trajectory could have fooled those ?who 手配中の，お尋ね者 to 殺人大統領 Putin. Nato?’

Almost comically ― if it is possible to be amused by anything 関係のある to such a monstrous 罪，犯罪 ― the article in Pravda （刑事）被告 the British マスコミ of ‘a total 欠如（する） of 尊敬（する）・点 for the 犠牲者s and their families, trying t o 得点する／非難する／２０ points from a 悲劇’, すぐに before 観察するing: ‘After Iraq, after Libya, after Syria, would anyone 本気で支配する out a Nato 試みる／企てる to 殺人大統領 Putin?’

The author ends with the most important 結論 about the 責任／義務 for this terrible 出来事/事件 ― at least from the point of 見解（をとる） of the man in the Kremlin: ‘One thing is （疑いを）晴らす: 大統領 Putin is not responsible.’

Putin has not yet 大（公）使館員d his own 指名する to the bizarre 共謀 theories given licence on the 明言する／公表する-controlled マスコミ. He has contented himself with the observ ation that the 298 deaths were the Ukrainian 政府’s fault because ‘the 明言する／公表する over whose 領土 this took place 耐えるs 責任／義務’.

It will be 利益／興味ing to see whether the ロシアの大統領宣言するs himself 単独で responsible if Chechen 分離主義者反逆者／反逆するs were to 爆発する a 計画（する）飛行機で行くing over ロシアの領土.

Putin’s apologists can legitimately point out it was the West ― in the form of the U.S. 海軍 ― that blew up a 乗客 jet 支援する in 1988. All 290 on board Iran 空気／公表する Flight 655 were killed when it was struck by SM-2MR ミサイルs 解雇する／砲火／射撃d from the USS Vincennes.

It is also true that though the U.S. 政府結局 paid 賠償s of $62 million to the （死が）奪い去るd families, it never apologised.

But what the U.S. 政府 didn’t do was to m ake up lies to the 影響 that Flight 655 had been 負かす／撃墜するd by Iranian 闘士，戦闘機 jets ーするために discredit Washington.

It only sought to defend its 失敗ing 海軍の officers (who had sailed into Iranian waters) on the grounds they had mistaken the 定期航空機 for an 後継の軍用機. That was not the least なぐさみ for the 犠牲者s’ families, but it was the truth.

One of the many 長所s of a 解放する／自由な圧力（をかける） ―which is what they have in the U.S. ― is that it makes it almost impossible for the 政府 to pull the wool over its own public’s 注目する，もくろむs, or at least not for long.

But Putin, as the Swedish 外務大臣 Carl Bildt 観察するd last week, ‘has 強固にする／合併する／制圧するd all the （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） and “news” 資源s of Russia ーするために create a more 効果的な器具 to?.?.?.?spread 恐れる and 分割. While in the past, a war was 始めるd by an 大砲一斉射撃，（質問などの）連発／ダム, today it is by a 故意の誤報（選挙などの）運動をする’.

故意の誤報 was the 指名する given to the artfully 建設するd lies produced by the USSR’s department for Agitation and 宣伝 ― in which 技術s the former 国家保安委員会 officer Putin would have been trained.

Perhaps the most (a)手の込んだ／(v)詳述する was 操作／手術 INFEKTION, the 国家保安委員会故意の誤報（選挙などの）運動をする to spread the idea that the 中央情報局 created 援助（する）s as part of a 生物学の武器s 事業／計画（する）. This was partly designed to foment 怒り／怒る at U.S. 軍の bases, which were often portrayed as the 原因（となる） of 援助（する）s 突発／発生s in 地元の全住民s.

It was successful: like a ウイルス itself, the ‘中央情報局 made 援助（する）s’ （選挙などの）運動をする spread across the globe. It may have even 与える／捧げるd to the 拒絶 by the Moscow-trained South African 大統領，／社長 Thabo Mbeki to 受託する the real 原因（となる）s of the ウイルス that was 殺人，大当り millions of his own countrymen ― with appalling consequences.

As it happens, の中で the 殺人d on flight MH17 were Dutch 専門家s travelling to 演説（する）／住所 a Melbourne 全世界の援助（する）s 会議／協議会.

Do not be surprised if Pravda’s 編集（者）の board finds use for this in 示唆するing a U.S. 動機 for blowing up the 計画（する）: ‘Was one of the MH17 乗客s about to 明らかにする／漏らす to the world the 中央情報局’s real 役割 in the 殺し屋病気?’

If they do, there will be more than enough idiots to believe them.

A commandment that isn't gospel

If there is one quotation 支持者s of 安楽死 trot out more than any other it is: ‘Thou shalt not kill, but needst not 努力する／競う officiously to keep alive.� � It was 特記する／引用するd by the 小説家 Terry Pratchett in his Dimbleby Lecture 充てるd to the 原因（となる） of いわゆる ‘補助装置d dying’.

And sure enough, on the day the Lords 審議d a 法案 to introduce such a 手段, BBC2 Newsnight’s presenter Kirsty Wark (権利) interviewed Margaret John, a teacher with 終点癌. She said these same words ― which she declaimed with a beatific 表現 ― summed up why she supported Lord Falconer’s 提案 to license doctors to 手渡す out 致命的な doses to people like her.

Someone at the BBC ― which 供給するd the 壇・綱領・公約 for Mr Pratchett and Mrs John ― should check what the 初めの author of the phrase 現実に meant.

They would discover it is from The 最新の Decalogue, by the 19th-century poet Arthur Hugh Clough, which was, in fact, a 激しく satirical account of what Clough saw as the perversion of Christian morality.

Thus another line of his poem reads: ‘耐える not 誤った証言，証人／目撃する/Let the 嘘（をつく）/Have time on its own wings to 飛行機で行く.

How bizarre that Clough’s spoof of the ten commandments should be 引用するd everywhere as the true gospel.

A 政府 ‘協議 paper’, slipped out last week, 示唆するs someone breaking a 提案するd 法律 against smoking in 乗り物s could be 罰金d ￡10,000 for ‘failing to 妨げる’ the lighting up of a cigarette while a child was in the car.

の中で the 反対s to this 法律 is that the police have better things to do than trying to （悪事，秘密などを）発見する people smoking in cars with childre n on board. Of course, it would be いっそう少なく difficult if the 感情を害する／違反するing puffer were 運動ing a 転換できる with its roof 負かす／撃墜する.

So here is what the 明言する／公表する of the 法律 will be, if this passes through 議会: smoking in 前線 of children indoors with all the windows shut is 合法的, but doing so at 30?mph in the open? 空気／公表する is 罰せられるべき with a ￡10,000 罰金. Barmy.
