When high-飛行機で行くing 銀行業者 Simon Sywak decided he no longer wished to 支払う／賃金 for the upkeep of his former wife and two young children, he （機の）カム up with a most unusual ruse.

Mr Sywak told his family and the 法廷，裁判所s he had left the world of large 特別手当s and flashy cars and was retraining to be a bus driver.

Last week, however, this 劇の change of career was exposed as a sham, thanks to an 18-month 調査 機動力のある by his furious former wife, who was 需要・要求するing his 維持／整備 支払い（額）s.

Helen Sywak 跡をつけるd him 負かす／撃墜する not to an oil-stained bus 倉庫・駅 or staff canteen, but a luxurious £1million apartment in Singapore, where he was living with his new wife ? former 売春婦 Alison Tufnell, the ex-wife of cricketer and TV personality Phil Tufnell.

Although he （人命などを）奪う，主張するd to be almost penniless after his career change and therefore unable to 支払う／賃金 維持／整備, 37-year-old Mr Sywak was, in fact, a 上級の 人物／姿／数字 with JP Morgan Chase, one of the most 影響力のある merchant banks in the world.

Today, sitting in her seafront home in Sussex, 43-year-old Helen is still reeling at the audacity of her former husband’s （人命などを）奪う，主張するs.

‘It sums up the arrogance of the man,’ she says. ‘He used British 司法（官） to try and 支払う／賃金 no 維持／整備. Now he’s hiding from the 法廷，裁判所s. Not for a second did I believe he was a bus driver. He’s a 大規模な spender. It was ridiculous and naive.’

Helen, a Cambridge 卒業生（する）, 収容する／認めるs she should have known better when she met Simon, a handsome Australian 銀行業者, in 1996.

As a 女性（の） 仲買人, one of just a handful in the City of London, she knew all about the mix of testosterone and booze that fuelled her 同僚s. And Sywak already had a 評判 for hard drinking by the time they met.

But she was young, attractive and successful. She had just qualified as a 未来s 仲買人 at the Prudential-Bache 財政／金融 house in the City of London and, as she readily 収容する／認めるs, was looking for adventure.

Simon Sywak seemed to fit the 法案. He was working on the night desk at the company’s Sydney office and she was すぐに drawn to the 信用／信任 and cocky charm of his 正規の／正選手 telephone calls to the London office.

‘Nobody else 手配中の，お尋ね者 to talk to him when he rang through because he was so arrogant,’ she 解任するs.

‘But I was intrigued. He would phone on Monday mornings and tell me about his antics such as joining the mile-high club in the 私的な ヘリコプター of a millionaire’s wife and 存在 comatose and thrown out of the Sydney RAC Club.

It should have 始める，決める alarm bells （犯罪の）一味ing but it didn’t. He was brilliant at 貿易（する）ing and I was incredibly impressed.’

She went out to see him, was smitten and in November 1997 they married at Sydney 登録（する） Office, starting a glamorous new life in Australia.

‘I really loved him,’ she says. ‘He was fantastically 利益／興味ing and a bizarre personality. He was （麻薬）常用者d to 危険. It was very exciting.’

She did not have to wait long, though, for the glamour to 棺／かげり. Helen （人命などを）奪う，主張するs she quickly went from 心にいだくd girlfriend to 乱用d wife as Sywak’s behaviour became progressively more drunken and 積極的な.

Anxious to save the marriage, they moved 支援する to E ngland in 1998. But the problems 疫病／悩ますing the 関係 soon re-現れるd, she says.

On one occasion he ran up a £1,000 credit-card 法案 in a lapdancing club, even though, with Simon in and out of work, the couple were hard-up.

Then in 2003, with the family living in Brighton, Helen complained to the police that her husband had 強襲，強姦d her, knocking her over in a struggle so that she dropped 長，率いる first on to the 石／投石する 床に打ち倒す of the kitchen.

恐れるing he would lose the 職業 he had acquired by then, she did not 圧力（をかける） 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金s.

They finally separated in May 2004, and by August, Helen was 嘆願（書）ing for 離婚. With both 味方するs 認めるing the 関係 was over, things seemed to 進歩 滑らかに.

Helen could dream of a fresh start with their sons Jack, nine, and Freddie, eight, and? had agreed that Simon could see the children 定期的に.

The 友好的な approach though was soon to change, and 徹底的に. And the first 調印する, says Helen, was when her former husband teamed up with Alison Tufnell.

‘I first met her outside my children’s school,’ Helen says. ‘やめる honestly, she looked so hard that I had no idea she was with him. As I walked up the road with the boys, she and Simon seemed to laugh at me as they drove past in a four-wheel-運動, so I realised that she must be the new girlfriend.’

It was then that Helen discovered an aston ishing fact: Simon’s new girlfriend was not only a former 売春婦, but had recently broadcast the fact in the 国家の 圧力（をかける）.

Famous in her own 権利 as the first wife of a high-profile England cricket international, Alison sold her story in 2004, explaining in 詳細（に述べる） how she had been an ‘護衛する’ girl for the rich and famous, 含むing a Greek shipping 大君, a Saudi Prince and the Duke of Devonshire.

‘It was my mother who 設立する out first,’ says Helen. ‘She remembered something about the 指名する Alison Tufnell and had looked her up on the internet. I looked for myself and I nearly fell off my 議長，司会を務める. I was astounded.

‘It was all there in 詳細（に述べる）. I was so surprised, partly because Simon is an 絶対の snob. He used to demean people like that in everyday conversation. The idea that he would be planning to marry a 売春婦 was, in its way, hilarious to me.

‘A lot of things clicked into place: the way she dressed, that hard-直面するd look.’

Helen says that Simon began a （選挙などの）運動をする of deliberately obstructive and unsettling behaviour.

‘My life has been hell since Simon met Alison,’ says Helen. ‘Simon always 扱う／治療するd me with a total 欠如（する） of 尊敬（する）・点 and was a 一貫した liar. But since he met her, he has become even more ruthless and streetwise.

‘I was hoping for a 静かな, dignified 離婚 for everyone’s sake. But Simon seems bent on destroying us.

'He’s become vindictive and malicious. He 砲撃するd me with 苦しめるing and denigrating phone calls at all times of the day and night.

'He 妨害するd every 試みる／企てる to reach a fair 財政上の 解決／入植地, even though it was his children’s 未来 that was at 火刑／賭ける.’

By November, 2004, it was （疑いを）晴らす that something had to change when に引き続いて one 接近 visit to Simon, the children were distraught.

Helen says she 設立する that the boys had been left unsupervised 夜通し with Alison’s children at her cottage, while Simon and his new girlfriend slept in his apartme nt 負かす／撃墜する the road.

‘明白に, I was frantically worried and called social services,’ she says.

‘He did not see them again.’ Simon’s phone calls became more 敵意を持った and vitriolic.

‘Simon started to （犯罪の）一味 me up to 15 times a day 十分な of 脅しs and 乱用,’ says Helen.

‘He said I was nothing without him. He even 示唆するd that I work as a 売春婦, as that was all I was good for.’

Helen 追加するs: ‘I never spoke to Alison on the phone but during the 悩ますing phone calls from Simon, I got the impression that he wasn’t alone.

‘He appeared to be showboating and going out of his way to be as sneering and 汚い as possible, like a pantomime villain.

いつかs there were untimely pauses as if he had stopped to take 指示／教授／教育s from someone else.’

Helen 譲歩するs that she has no 証拠 that Alison 奮起させるd her husband’s behaviour. However, Alison’s taste for 侵略 and 天罰 is 井戸／弁護士席 文書d.

In Phil Tufnell’s autobiography What Now? he 解任するs how she took 復讐 on one of his mistresses by 地位，任命するing cards in phone boxes advertising her 競争相手 as a hooker.

Sywak was 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金d with いやがらせ in January 2005 after Helen taped his calls.

That June, he pleaded 有罪の and was given an 18-month 一時停止するd 宣告，判決 and 抑制するing order.

Helen also 設立する out that Simon had married Alison in November 2006.

Last night Mr Sywak 認める that he was not 支払う／賃金ing 維持／整備, （人命などを）奪う，主張するing that Helen had understated her true income and enjoyed a ‘high’ lifestyle. He 否定するs he was violent in 2003 and that he said Helen should turn to 売春.

The 維持／整備 事例／患者 was finally heard earlier this year in the Brighton Family 法廷，裁判所. Helen was awarded another £500 a month.

‘Alison glared at me in what looked like an 試みる／企てる at 脅迫 but I just felt sorry for her,’ says Helen.

‘She looked as if she’d had a rough life and I wondered if she’d had any choice in becoming a 売春婦.’

She 追加するs: ‘My sons 港／避難所’t seen their father for three years.

'They don’t talk about him and they don’t seem to care.’

Helen remains sanguine. She knows that, even with その上の 合法的な 活動／戦闘, she is ありそうもない to see the 支援する 支払い（額）s 借りがあるd.?

But at least she got her freedom, even if it （機の）カム at やめる a price.
