Lorraine Kelly, 50, has been an integra l part of breakfast television since joining TV-am in 1984. After 17 years with GMTV, she 生き残るd the ITV cull to 現れる with her own eponymous show at 8.30am each weekday on Daybreak. Married to カメラマン Steve Smith, she lives in Dundee with their daughter, Rosie.

Grown-up look for Daybreak: Lorraine in a James Lakeland dress

My mother, Anne, and I grew up like sisters as she was only 17 when I was born.

She and my father didn't have much money but she never went out looking anything いっそう少なく than immaculate, her lipstick always in place.

I think she despaired of me as when I was growing up, I was never into fashion and I was a bit of a swot.

On my first day at work at the East Kilbride News, I wore a cowl-necked brown sweater with brown cord trousers, cowboy boots and an Afghan coat.

I thought I was the bees' 膝s 反して, in reality, I looked ridiculous.

In the Eighties, I'd put on tights I'd ripped so that I'd look more like Debbie Harry.

Even today, when I am off-義務, 慰安 is my watchword. I'll 選ぶ for ジーンズs with a cotton 最高の，を越す .

I've got an old sweatshirt with a picture of the island of Barra on it. I got it when I was 20 but wouldn't dream of throwing it away.

By contrast, I have to look smart for work and I can't wear the same outfit too often. Fashion 専門家 示す Heyes knows what 控訴s my 人物／姿／数字.

I don't like to show the 最高の，を越すs of my 武器 so he'll help me find something with a sleeve or will team a 包む with a dress that keeps that part of my 団体／死体 covered.

On GMTV I used to '相続する' the 始める，決める from the breakfast presenters and I tended to wear brighter colours then.

But, with my smart Daybreak 始める，決める, that's changed - subtly but 意味ありげに. So with the help of my lovely stylist, Gemma Shanley, I've gone for a more grown-up look. I 特に like this James Lakeland dress in blue with dark パネル盤s and a zip at the 前線.

I've settled at a size 12, which 控訴s my 団体／死体 and age. So I dress to flatter in what I would call grown-up 着せる／賦与するs from the High Street - fitted jackets and pencil skirts from 白人指導者べったりの東洋人 共和国, Gap, Karen Millen, M&S, the 時折の Ben de Lisi at Debenhams and Diane 出身の Furstenberg.

The 客観的な is sassy and classy - a bit like Karen in Will and Grace. The new 始める，決める also gives me the 適切な時期 to show my 脚s and feet, so I can indulge my passion for shoes. I wore a pair of Prada shoes with peep toes and Perspex heels with the James Lakeland dress.

WARDROBE CHECKLIST

NIGHT DRESSES: I have only a small handful of evening dresses at home. I tend to give them away when I’ve worn them a few times.
DAY DRESSES: I’ve got a few day dresses in plain colours from 示すs & Spencer, although I do have a couple of Diane 出身の Furstenberg printed dresses which I’ve had for years. Also, another half-dozen ‘lunch’ dresses that I’ve bought in the High Street.

SHIRTS: I have lots of shirts from Abercrombie & Fitch which I might wear with a jumper from Jack Wills or Gap. I probably have about 15 in all. I also have some fitted shirts from Pink, if I’m feeling わずかな／ほっそりした.

SUITS: I don’t have 控訴s or jackets in Dundee. They’re 負かす／撃墜する in London and 厳密に for work. I do have the 時折の skirt, but only if I have to go out? somewhere.
TROUSERS: My smartest trousers are a 黒人／ボイコット pair I got from Next. I have a few others from 示すs & Spencer but, for everyday use, I’m happiest in a pair of tight ジーンズs from New Look. I’ve only started wearing
them again recently, because I lost a bit of 負わせる. I’ve also got a couple of
pairs of Next ジーンズs.

SHOES: Shoes are my indulgence. I probably have about 40 pairs in Scotland, 含むing trainers and Birkenstocks, which I like to wear in the summer, because they keep your
feet 冷静な／正味の.

LORRAINE'S WARDROBE FAVOURITES

Flattering: Vivienne Westwood dress

POSH FROCKS

I've got a few designer items, such as a lovely Dolce & Gabbana dress and a few 'going-out dresses'.

There are some Vivienne Westwood ones from her diffusion 範囲 which takes account of the fact that women have tummies and boobs but, as she 削減（する）s so 井戸／弁護士席, they accentuate all your best bits. I have a Ralph Lauren tartan dress in red and 黒人／ボイコット which I wear for special occasions. I wore it on 空気／公表する the day of the Oscars.

I've also got a Ben de Lisi ivory silk dress with a 急落（する），激減（する）ing neckline that I wore to the Baftas. People said it was a bit too low 削減（する）, but I liked it. And I have a 黒人／ボイコット 床に打ち倒す-length dress from Episode with a bejewelled 最高の，を越す for smart occasions.

HIGH STREET FAVOURITES

I buy from shops such as Hobbs, choosing simple lines. I bought a nice green 控訴 (above) from there. I like 封鎖するs of colour - 特に blues and greens and, because of the colour of the orange （土地などの）細長い一片 of my football team Dundee 部隊d, I've got a few outfits in tangerine.

I also like 季節風, as it does good colours which look 広大な／多数の／重要な on TV, 同様に as cardigans with a bit of structure to them. I like Zara, Next, Mango and Gap, too. And, occasionally, I'll go to Jack Wills in St Andrews for casual 着せる／賦与するs.

COATS AND MACS

I've got a classic 黒人／ボイコット coat from Hobbs, which I've had for years. I also have a 黒人／ボイコット Watch tartan shawl that I wear if I'm going to one of the 黒人／ボイコット Watch events - I was made 名誉として与えられる 陸軍大佐 of the cadets. I've got wet 天候 gear from Jack Wills and from the Moon Walk people.

JEWELLERY

I've got a （犯罪の）一味 that cost £150 which was my wedding 禁止（する）d. Steve bought me a diamond （犯罪の）一味 ten years later in 2002, but it's the 初めの one that I treasure most. I don't like lots of fussy jewellery. I only have one pair of earrings; diamond studs Steve got me.

SHOES & BAGS

Shoes are my big 証拠不十分. I love the designer Betsey Johnson. My favourites look like the shoes Judy Garland wore in The Wizard Of Oz.

My favourite pair are tortoiseshell Christian Louboutin's with six-インチ heels, which I only wear on 空気／公表する. 示す Heyes bought me a pair of peach stilettos for my 50th birthday from Kurt Geiger.

As for 捕らえる、獲得するs, I use a 黒人／ボイコット leather Mulberry one which is more like a small スーツケース to 蓄える／店 all my things.
