It's the dark and 新たな展開d tale that's taken on a life of its own.
Baby Reindeer is the seven-part 演劇 written by a comedian (who also plays the lead character) based on his real-life experiences with a 女性（の） stalker?? the fallout of which is now turning into a 現象 that 脅すs to （太陽，月の）食／失墜 the 初めの story.
When Richard Gadd decided to turn his stalking ordeal into a work of 業績／成果 art for the Edinburgh Fringe five years ago, he surely never could have imagined the result would be a Netflix 攻撃する，衝突する 見解（をとる）d nearly 60million times in a month. And certainly not that Fiona Harvey, the woman identified by online sleuths as his stalker, would 結局最後にはーなる 遠出 herself this week in a TV interview with Piers Morgan, a spectacle that itself has now 獲得するd nearly four million 見解（をとる）s on YouTube.
Needless to say Harvey, 58, 熱心に 否定するs allegatio ns that over four-and-a-half years she sent the 41,071 emails, 744 tweets, letters totalling 106 pages and 350 hours of voicemail messages, which is what Gadd says his stalker did. (Harvey 認める sending Gadd no more than 10 emails, one letter and 18 tweets.)

Gadd's comic style at Edinburgh festival has always mixed humour with a shock factor

But one thing is indisputable in this 絡まるd web of （人命などを）奪う，主張する and 反対する （人命などを）奪う，主張する: Gadd's background could not be in starker contrast to the 大混乱／混沌とした and traumatic experiences charted in Baby Reindeer (the show also 文書s in flashback how he is groomed and 強姦d by a man he considered a friend, another experience based in reality).
As the Mail has discovered, Gadd's middle-class childhood, growing up on the shores of the River Tay in Scotland, was anything but 拷問d.
Gadd, 34, grew up with his older sister Kate and parents Geoff?? a university professor and scientist?? and Julia?? a school 長官?? in a large, detached home in Wormit, a village in north-east Fife. There, he went to the 地元の 最初の／主要な school, played football and tennis for the 地元の club and made his first 外見 treading the boards in his school nativity play as one of the Wise Men.
As he himself says: 'I had a happy childhood, it was amazing, I wasn't anxious at all.'
After 最初の／主要な school, Gadd moved on to マドラス College, the 母校 of newsreader Alastair Stewart and singer KT Tunstall, a 1,400-strong 包括的な 始める，決める in historic buildings in picturesque St Andrew's.
It was at マドラス that Gadd's love of 演劇 繁栄するd (he dropped Latin in favour of 演劇)?? not least when he landed the starring 役割 of Macbeth in his final year.

There was an 早期に taste of acclaim in the マドラス 2005 Christmas newsletter, which 発言／述べるd: 'Richard Gadd excelled in the 肩書を与える 役割. He 配達するd a wonderfully physical 業績／成果 in which he was perfectly 用意が出来ている to 粉砕する his を回避する the 始める，決める when the 役割 需要・要求するd it!'
The 生産／産物 also fuelled a school romance with Gadd's 主要な lady, the young woman appearing と一緒に him as Lady Macbeth.
Another member of the cast this week spoke glowingly of his erstwhile school pal.
'I've known him since we were five or six years old,' says the friend. 'We're from the same village, went to the same 最初の／主要な school. I'm happy to see him doing so 井戸／弁護士席 and if I could speak for the people of Wormit I'm sure everyone there is 極端に proud to call him one of our own.'
But it would seem there are uncanny 平行のs between the young Gadd and his character Donny in Baby Reindeer.
Just as Donny takes pity on Martha, 申し込む／申し出ing her a cup of tea on the house when she appears at the pub where he is working, （人命などを）奪う，主張するing to be a lawyer but seemingly unable to afford a drink, 支援する in his school days Gadd was also quick to look out for the underdog, in this 事例／患者 his friend who was 存在 いじめ（る）d.
'He stuck up for me when I was 存在 いじめ（る）d in 第２位 and nobody had done that for me before,' says the friend, 略奪する. 'He was one of the good ones when I knew him and it makes me happy to see him doing so 井戸／弁護士席.'
As for Macbeth, 略奪する says: 'In my opinion he was a brilliant Macbeth and even then he was a very committed, 有能な and natural actor.'
After the 生産／産物, and in their final year, the 略奪する and Gadd went on to 参加する the 国家の Theatre's 全国的な 年次の 青年 theatre festival 関係s, winning 主要な 役割s in Gregory Burke's play Liar.
Gadd's 成し遂げるing ambitions were obvious even then.
The comedian was a 攻撃する，衝突する at Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2016 with his Monkey See Monkey Do show, which 調査するd masculinity and mental health. Throughout the 業績／成果 he runs on a treadmill trying to escape a 人物／姿／数字 in a monkey 衣装 - a metaphor for his 外傷／ショック

'I'm really happy to see he's doing something now that he could only dream about 支援する then.'
By Gadd's own account, his time at マドラス was 'inspirational'.
'The 演劇 department was like a gem, the teachers seemed to be above and beyond. They were inspirational to me,' he said in a podcast.
It was his parents who 説得するd him that having a degree might be 'wise', although he has always 主張するd they were never pushy.
'They could have been more pushy,' he said in another podcast interview. 'They were not from a theatre background at all; they could see how much it meant to me and never 押し進めるd me in a particular direction, they [just] 押し進めるd me to be the best I could be,'

Gadd duly 入会させるd at Glasgow University, 完全にするing a degree in English Literature and Theatre 熟考する／考慮するs, 明らかに managing to get through it all without 行方不明の a 選び出す／独身 lecture or tutorial.
Already an 熱心な writer, he started to 成し遂げる at the Edinburgh Fringe while still a student, winning the Laughing Penguin New 行為／法令／行動する of the Year award in 2010 and becoming a finalist in the Chortle Student Comedy Awards the に引き続いて year, competing against Mock the Week 星／主役にする Glenn Moore.

破壊分子, dark, anti-comedy are just a few of the descriptions that have been 適用するd to Gadd's いつかs uncomfortable vein of stand-up.
His 打開 moment （機の）カム in 2016 with his Fringe show Monkey See Monkey Do, a harrowing account of 存在 sexually 強襲，強姦d by an older man, made even more harrowing by the physical presence on 行う／開催する／段階 of Gadd, 続けざまに猛撃するing away on a treadmill, night after night, mile after mile, trying to escape a 人物／姿／数字 in a gorilla 控訴.
Gadd has said of the 乱用, which 最高潮に達するd in 強姦 ? it was not a 選び出す／独身 出来事/事件 and he did not 報告（する）／憶測 it to police ? that it led to a 'masculinity 危機'. Once 'やめる a lad', he said: 'I would say that I certainly started to feel like my 直面する didn't fit in の中で the lad part of my life anymore.'
The one-man show (G 追加する himself 述べるd it as 'dark, off-kilter and weird') won Gadd, who is bisexual, the Edinburgh Fringe comedy award and a £10,000 prize.

'It's not been an 平易な few years but he's become adept at changing horrendous experiences into award-winning shows,' his mum said
Gadd, now an 外交官／大使 for We Are 生存者s, a charity 献身的な to helping male 生存者s of 性の 乱用, 格闘するd with what had happened?? the treadmill 支え（る） in his show was apt, because the only way he could 対処する with 手足を不自由にする／（物事を）損なうing 苦悩 attacks was to run and run until he was too tired to think.
Now a 充てる of meditation, he 苦しむd 苦悩, 不景気 and has spoken of 地位，任命する-traumatic 強調する／ストレス disorder. He has undergone 広範囲にわたる therapy.
One cathartic show based on his real-life experience was not enough, however, and Baby Reindeer the one-man 行う／開催する／段階 show debuted at the Fringe in 2019, laying 明らかにする a whole new raft of 深く，強烈に personal, 深く，強烈に 乱すing 構成要素.
For Gadd says that まっただ中に the success of Monkey See Monkey Do he was having to 対処する with 存在 stalked.
As he told the 後見人: 'It felt like I'd expunged the demons of one person who had 原因（となる）d me so much grief, only so that she [his stalker] could take centre 行う／開催する／段階 in his place. It felt so awfully ironic.'
The events of Baby Reindeer are understood to have 広げるd in the 中央の 2010s, in the years after Gadd left Oxford and moved to London, b ecoming an 時折の barman at trendy Camden pub the Hawley 武器.
This week, at the £1 million 半分-detached house in leafy Muswell Hill where he once 宿泊するd, 隣人s said he 突然の left the 所有物／資産／財産 and returned to Scotland in 2015.
One 隣人 said: 'He lived here for two years or so. One minute he was here and the next he was gone - it all seemed to happen very suddenly.
Gadd also 星／主役にするs in BBC Two's Against The 法律 as Eddie McNally, who engages in an 違法な homosexual 関係 with the show's lead character, Peter Wildeblood
'He used to come out and do some comedy sketches on the doorstep. It was things he was doing with friends and they would put it on the internet. He was just making a 指名する for himself and good on him.'
Gadd, whose career aspirations 含む wanting to play Hamlet with the 王室の Shakespeare Company, has certainly 設立する 財政上の success since then.
Accor ding to Companies House, his eponymous company RRSG Ltd (RRSG 代表するing his 初期のs, has just over £1million in 資産s, which 含むs £819,959 'cash in the bank'.

His parents remain his biggest 支持者s.
In 2019 his dad wrote this proud 地位，任命する on Twitter, now X: 'My son has made number 4 in the 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）'s 2019 Hot 100. To my chagrin I am not in the 最高の，を越す 3. Or even in the other 96.'
His mum, 一方／合間, 答える／応じるd to a 支持者 the same year: 'Thanks for the congratulations re Richard. It's not been an 平易な few years but he's become adept at changing horrendous experiences into award-winning shows.'
Baby Reindeer will likely be a shoe-in when it gets to awards season, but whether the fallout is now turning into a horrendous experience only he can say.

Baby Reindeer opens with the line 'This is a true story', Gadd said in an interview with GQ magazine that the 焦点（を合わせる） of the Netflix show had been on '逮捕（する）ing the emotional truth, not creating a factual profile.
'We've gone to such lengths to disguise her that I 疑問 she would recognise herself in the show.'
Earlier this week Netflix 政策 長，指導者 Benjamin King said the streamer and 生産者 Clerkenwell Films had taken 'every reasonable 警戒 in disguising the real-life 身元s of the people 伴う／関わるd in that story.'
In retrospect, that seems disingenuous to say the least.?
