Inside the Baby Reindeer stalker’s 追求(する),探索(する) for 復讐: How Martha has 雇うd a 最高の,を越す lawyer who (人命などを)奪う,主張するs there’s one 決定的な fact that could enable her to 証明する a 重要な part of the 陰謀(を企てる) is ‘完全にする fiction’…

With its 60 million 見解(をとる)s and 世界的な acclaim, it would be 平易な to imagine Baby Reindeer's creator Richard Gadd must be celebrating his good fortune. But the comedian wore a decidedly pensive 表現 when he was spotted walking along a North London street earlier this week.

Perhaps a month's 価値(がある) of 激怒(する)ing 論争 is taking its (死傷者)数.

The seven-part 小型の-series based on his experiences of 存在 stalked, in which he plays the lead 役割 of Donny Dunn, has brought 35-year-old Gadd 夜通し fame, fortune... and, now, a lot of 可能性のある trouble.

For the next instalment in this all-too-real saga 脅すs to (太陽,月の)食/失墜 even the 初めの story.

In past interviews, Gadd has said that the episode with his stalker ― whom he has never 指名するd ― was '解決するd' and that 'the 状況/情勢... with the person who stalked me is certainly over'.

So maybe he hoped Fiona Harvey, who has outed herself as the true-life inspiration for stalker 'Martha', would melt away.

If so, then he has not been 支払う/賃金ing attention to his own script because the 状況/情勢 now appears the opposite of 解決するd.

Not only is Ms Harvey, 58, going nowhere, she is 解雇する/砲火/射撃d up with 激怒(する) and indignation and 均衡を保った for 復讐 ― having 安全な・保証するd the help of a 最高の,を越す-flight lawyer.

にもかかわらず Gadd and Netflix's 主張 that the storyline does not 明らかにする/漏らす the stalker's true 身元 ― Gadd 以前 (人命などを)奪う,主張するd to ha ve disguised his stalker's 身元 to such an extent that he said, 'I don't think she would recognise herself' ― Ms Harvey was quickly exposed by online sleuths and says she has 苦しむd death 脅しs and 乱用 from internet trolls.

The fallout has raised serious questions about whether Netflix's 同意/服従 手続きs were 適する, 特に in the light of what she (人命などを)奪う,主張するs are serious factual inaccuracies.

Over four and a half years, Gadd says he received 41,071 emails, 744 tweets, letters totalling 106 pages and 350 hours of voicemail messages from his stalker.

In an interview, the comedian has said: 'I felt a 広大な/多数の/重要な 取引,協定 of empathy for the real-life Martha. I didn't want to throw someone who was that level of mentally unwell in 刑務所,拘置所.'

Comedian and Baby Reindeer creator Richard Gadd, 35, pictured with a friend in London this week, is gearing himself up for a 合法的な 戦う/戦い with Fiona Harvey - にもかかわらず 説 that 'the 状況/情勢... with the person who stalked me is certainly over'

But a powerful scene in Baby Reindeer portrays Martha tearfully pleading 有罪の in the ドッキングする/減らす/ドックに入れる, and 存在 刑務所,拘置所d for nine months. Ms Harvey 主張するs this is a defamatory and 破滅的な 捏造/製作.

Yesterday Ms Harvey's lawyer Chris Daw KC, a 主要な barrister, told the Mail: 'Fiona 明言する/公表するs that she has never been 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金d with any 罪,犯罪, let alone pleaded 有罪の and served a 刑務所,拘置所 宣告,判決, as 示唆するd in Baby Reindeer.

'She 持続するs that this is 完全にする fiction. I have not seen anything from Gadd or Netflix to support this part of the 陰謀(を企てる) of Baby Reindeer. The serious 害(を与える) done to Fiona, if this 重要な part of the 陰謀(を企てる) turns out to be fiction, should be obvious to anyone.'

A 重要な 問題/発行する is that Baby Reindeer, which has held the number one 位置/汚点/見つけ出す in the streaming 巨大(な)'s charts since its 開始する,打ち上げる in April, begins with the words: 'This is a true story' ― not 'based on a true story' or '奮起させるd by real events'.

In the Netflix 圧力(をかける) 解放(する), Gadd himself 宣言するd: 'It's a true story.'

He subsequently appeared to 列/漕ぐ/騒動 支援する on this (人命などを)奪う,主張する in an interview with GQ magazine in which he said the story was 'pretty truthful' and 'emotionally truthful' and that it 'never moved too far from the truth'.

And ― while the show 獲得するd rave reviews and 賞賛する over how he portrayed the 外傷/ショック of 存在 stalked ― he has 繰り返して 勧めるd テレビ視聴者s not to identify the woman who made his life hell, 説: 'If I 手配中の,お尋ね者 the real life people to be 設立する, I would've made it a 文書の.'

But, either through oversight or 欠如(する) of imagination, the 演劇 is replete with 手がかり(を与える)s.

Written by Gadd, Baby Reindeer 描写するs Martha as a chubby, middle-老年の, curly-haired, Scottish, self-布告するd successful lawyer obsessively stalking barman-cum-struggling stand-up comedian Donny.

Online sleuths pointed to Ms Harvey's physical resemblance to 'Martha', the fact she also says she is a lawyer, tweets sent under her 指名する a 10年間 ago ― written with the same fruity language as used on TV ― and to newspaper headlines about a previous stalking 犠牲者 that the Netflix show barely changed.

Not to について言及する that Gadd himself spent time as a barman, at The Hawley 武器 in North London, where Ms Harvey 収容する/認めるs they did cross paths.

Mr Daw, from Lincoln House 議会s, said: 'If you're telling the whole world something's a true story, it's no good to then say in マスコミ interviews, 'Oh, don't 扱う/治療する it as a true story, it's a ll 肉親,親類d of made up'.

'Both [Gadd] and Netflix, in my 見解(をとる), have made the mistake of trying to ride two horses at once ― both getting the 利益 of a true story, which we all know 増加するs 見解(をとる)ing 人物/姿/数字s, but at the same time trying to 避ける the consequences 潜在的に of portraying someone in a 完全に 不確かの and defamatory way.

'There is 絶対 no defence to say, 'we didn't mean it to be a literal truth, we meant it to be an emotional truth'. From a 合法的な point of 見解(をとる), that's 絶対の nonsense.' He said Ms Harvey had yet to 正式に 教える solicitors, 追加するing: 'I am building a team to consider what (人命などを)奪う,主張するs Fiona may have against Gadd, Clerkenwell Films and Netflix, arising from the use of her image, defamation and any other 可能性のある (人命などを)奪う,主張するs.'

Last week Netflix ― 以前 under 解雇する/砲火/射撃 over made-up sequences in 王室の Family 演劇 The 栄冠を与える ― was dragged over the coals in 議会 regarding the show's 義務 of care to those portrayed in Baby Reindeer.

Its 政策 長,指導者 Benjamin King 二塁打d 負かす/撃墜する during a 審理,公聴会 of the マスコミ select 委員会, telling MPs: 'Baby Reindeer is an 驚くべき/特命の/臨時の story and it is 明白に a true story of the horrific 乱用 that the writer and protagonist Richard Gadd 苦しむd at the 手渡すs of a 罪人/有罪を宣告するd stalker.' He 主張するd Netflix and Clerkenwell Films ― the 生産/産物 company behind the show ― had taken 'every reasonable 警戒 in disguising the real-life 身元s of the people 伴う/関わるd in that story'.

In the TV 産業, there is much smugness that Netflix has 設立する itself (刑事)被告 of messing up its '同意/服従', under which (n)役員/(a)執行力のあるs are supposed to 持続する a 義務 of care to people 描写するd on 審査する. Ms Harvey says she was never 接触するd by the filmmakers.

One TV insider said 'jaws were dropping' at the 'mega 同意/服従 失敗', 追加するing that the BBC and its b elt-and-を締めるs 同意/服従 department would never have let the show 空気/公表する if it was so 平易な for Ms Harvey to be 設立する and 的d.

In fact, Clerkenwell Films, the 生産/産物 company, is owned by BBC Studios, which makes many 最高の,を越す programmes for the 会社/団体. BBC Studios is part of the BBC's 商業の wing and does not spend public money. Neither Clerkenwell nor Gadd have commented 直接/まっすぐに about (人命などを)奪う,主張するs they made it too 平易な to identify Ms Harvey. As the 可能性 appears to grow of a 合法的な (人命などを)奪う,主張する 存在 brought by her, that may be a wise move.

One thing is (疑いを)晴らす, many of those who have become 伴う/関わるd with the Baby Reindeer story have 設立する themselves 速く out of favour with Ms Harvey.

'The Daily Mail was one of the first 出版(物)s to speak to her when we met her at her London flat. The newspaper did not 指名する her. 同様に as 主張するing it was she who was the stalking 犠牲者, she told us: 'The suggestion I'm a serial stalker is a 負担 of rubbish, a figment of Richard Gadd's imagination.' She 追加するd: 'And do you think he's bonny, with his big nose? I never fancied him. He was 23, I was about 47.'

She 激怒(する)d about her depiction in Baby Reindee r, shockingly 宣言するing that the actress Jessica Gunning who plays Martha 'sort of looks like me after I put on four 石/投石する in lockdown, but I'm not 現実に unattractive. Not like that fat cow who's 明らかに 60 石/投石する. She's a fat, ugly twerp.'

After her Mail interview, Ms Harvey took to social マスコミ to complain about how it was written.

Then last week she gave an interview to Piers Morgan on his YouTube channel ― in the 過程 identifying herself ― to complain Baby Reindeer had been 'やめる horrifying', 説: 'Some of the death 脅しs have been really terrible online. People phoning me up. It's been 絶対 horrendous.' She said she was '存在 いじめ(る)d for fame'.

She said she went on Morgan's show because she 信用d him to give her a fair 審理,公聴会. But afterwards, Ms Harvey, from Stirlingshire, turned sour on Morgan too, telling Scottish newspaper the Daily 記録,記録的な/記録する that the 放送者 'feels sorry for no one'. She said: 'His staff were 存在 so nice and 説 everything was 承認する but when I went in to 会合,会う him he could barely look at me. It was all a big 行為/法令/行動する.

'He didn't even say goodbye and only got the photograph taken with me because he needed it for the publicity.'

She (人命などを)奪う,主張するd she had been 申し込む/申し出d only £250 for the interview and 追加するd: 'I have not 調印するd a 契約 for the interview and I will be 捜し出すing far more than a piddling £250. I'd settle for a million.'

In 返答, when Morgan was interviewed on the BBC 無線で通信する 4 マスコミ Show, he did not 否定する the £250 申し込む/申し出 but said his show had also 基金d a nice haircut and a car from her home. He said: 'She is not going to get a million 続けざまに猛撃するs from me. She was perfectly happy with the agreed sum.'

Morgan has 耐えるd plenty of brickbats from critics who (人命などを)奪う,主張するd his interview was unethical because Ms Harvey could be mentally ill. He said: 'I didn't believe a lot of what she was 説, but that doesn't make her mentally 攻撃を受けやすい or mentally ill… she doesn't see herself as 攻撃を受けやすい.' He said she was する権利を与えるd to have her say about the truth or さもなければ of the Netflix 演劇.

He 追加するd: 'If you 告発する/非難する someone of 存在 a 罪人/有罪を宣告するd stalker and they are not, that is a pretty serious (人命などを)奪う,主張する to make.

'I think they've got problems here because she 明確に is 決定するd to have her day in 法廷,裁判所 with Netflix. She is emphatic there was no 法廷,裁判所 事例/患者, no 有罪の判決 and no pleading 有罪の, nothing that led to any 明らかな 有罪の判決.

'There's a big difference between 存在 obsessive, or even 悩ますing him, but if you do not cross the 妨げる/法廷,弁護士業 of a 罪,犯罪, then to call them ― in a series in which they have been すぐに identified ― a 罪人/有罪を宣告するd 犯罪の is a serious 失敗 by Netflix.

'In nearly a month, no 団体/死体 has 設立する any 証拠 that she has a 前科.'

一方/合間 SNP MP John Nicolson has asked Netflix to 供給する 証拠 that the woman who 奮起させるd Martha is a '罪人/有罪を宣告するd stalker'.

Gadd, Clerkenwell Films and Netflix were approached for comment but did not 答える/応じる.

And what next for Gadd ― who lays 明らかにする his own mental health problems in the 演劇? Few 疑問 that the comedian's account of his experiences at the 手渡すs of his real-life stalker would be anything other than terrifying.

In an interview just before Baby Reindeer 空気/公表するd on Netflix, he said of such a personal 演劇: 'It's just a big exposing time ― but I'm 井戸/弁護士席 up for the ride.'

But after the dark 新たな展開s and turns of the past few weeks, and the 脅し of a 合法的な 演劇 to come, one wonders if he's enjoying the 旅行 now.
