Dressing for the office in the autumn can be traumatic when you don't know what the 予測できない天候 has in 蓄える／店 for you.

But sort out the 核心 basics of your autumn wardrobe and you'll be ready for any eventuality.

Choose 中立の colours such as cream, beige, 黒人／ボイコット or brown to blend in with the colours that predominate in your wardrobe.

There are also plenty of sleeveless knits around which look smart under 控訴 jackets and are a practical choice when 同僚s get over-enthusiastic with the office heating.

Skirts

A 膝-length pencil skirt is a must for this season and luckily it 控訴s all 高さs too. Wear it with a shorter jacket that's fitted at the waist for a sexy 行方不明になる Moneypenny look, or a longer 選び出す／独身-breasted jacket if you're conscious of your hips.

A-line skirts are still the most flattering style for all 形態／調整s and sizes. For winter, look out for 利益／興味ing woollen fabrics and even leather or suede in plain colours to wear with a white shirt or 黒人／ボイコット crewneck.

Long-length skirts are a classic autumnal cover-up that look sleek paired with a turtleneck cashmere 最高の，を越す and boots.

Trousers and 控訴s

This season there is no 始める，決める style of trouser that has been 法令d 流行の／上流の, so stick with what 控訴s you best.

Boot-削減（する）s are 広大な／多数の／重要な for lengthening 脚s when worn with heels as are more 狭くする styles. Palazzo pants are flattering if rather chilly in the cooler months - it's a good idea to search out wool trousers as they will be lined which is practical 同様に as 流行の／上流の.

Pinstripe 控訴s seem to be the order of the day this season. Thin 狭くする（土地などの）細長い一片s are the most flattering - look for charcoal grey and 黒人／ボイコット fabrics for that quintessential professional look.

Shoes

緩和する yourself out of your summer sandals and into a pair of boots. When the 気温減少（する）s, a pair of leather 膝-highs or spiky-heeled ankle boots will become your most 必須の従犯者s and can be worn with skirts (膝-highs) or under trousers (either).

Brown and 黒人／ボイコット leather are the most practical colours but if you're going to 投資する in a couple of pairs try a はしけ colour too, such as camel. Boots with zips up the 味方する are perhaps more elegant but a laced boot will be useful for those of us with bigger calves.

The preppy Ali McGraw in Love Story look is going to be 抱擁する for autumn so look out for a pair of 一連の会議、交渉／完成する-toed brown boots with a chunk y high heel for that retro collegiate look.
