You'll never go to the ball looking like death warmed up

Style gurus Susannah Constantine and Trinny Woodall are famous for their candid 発言／述べるs about people's dress sense. This week, they makeover Naomi Stewart, 26, from North London.

THE SUBJECT: Naomi has just returned home after teaching English in Japan. She now lives in Muswell Hill, London, with her boyfriend and mother. She is temping as a 長官, but 計画（する）s to 始める，決める up her own 商売／仕事 in 観光旅行，事業. She has two sisters, Zelda, 30, and Sophie, 33.

THE PROBLEM: Since I （機の）カム支援する from Japan three months ago, it has been hard to adjust. Fashion is crazy in Japan, but my Japanese scarves and jackets don't go 負かす／撃墜する井戸／弁護士席 here. Now I 選ぶ for ジーンズs and plain 最高の，を越すs - but I know I look 淡褐色. I want to wow my boyfriend over Christmas.

SUSANNAH SAYS:

Naomi is blessed in 存在 pencil-thin, but in her T-shirt and ジーンズs she looked like an ageing, boring student. The ジーンズs did not flatter her tummy, and were too baggy to do 司法（官） to her ultra-わずかな／ほっそりした脚s. Even worse are the washed-out colours of her make-up. She'll never go to the ball looking like death warmed up.

She also needs to stop listening to her sisters, who are 絶えず telling her what she should and shouldn't wear. Sisters mean 井戸／弁護士席 but their comments are never 客観的な. We need to brighten her up and transform her into an English rose who has 約束 in her own style.

A fabulous dress is the quickest and easiest way to 追加する a bit of style to your wardrobe. It can also be dressed up or 負かす／撃墜する depending on the occasion, so it need not be 限定するd to big nights out. You can 層 it with a jacket and trousers if you want more of a funky 辛勝する／優位, or if you are shy, wear a cardigan over it. Dresses are so versatile and should be worn more.

Crucially, this floaty, bias-削減（する） dress shows off Naomi's amazing 脚s, and the A-line gives 形態／調整 to her 人物／姿／数字 by skimming over her 狭くする hips and flowing out gently on the 膝s. The colour is rich and Christmassy, and the style is classic but やめる young. Wearing this, she looks 権利 at home.

TRINNY SAYS:

Having spent a couple of years in Japan 実験ing with 着せる／賦与するs, Naomi has now gone to the other extreme, wearing the most boring 着せる／賦与するs in the world.

She has a perfectly in-割合人物／姿／数字, but she is not doing it 司法（官） in baggy ジーンズs and a T-shirt. She has an amazing 直面する which would be 改善するd with a good eyebrow plucking. She also looks sickly, thanks her make-up and 淡褐色着せる／賦与するs.

I want to show Naomi how you can be glamorous and sophisticated but also individual, funky and young.

This simple 深いワイン-coloured dress is such an affordable 中心的要素. It gives her a fantastic waist, 脚s that go on for ever and 広大な／多数の／重要な cleavage. The beaded hexagonal lines are flattering because they give her curves. Naomi should always wear skirts and dresses because she has such fantastic 脚s.

For evening she can wear the dress on its own with a 広大な／多数の／重要な pair of heels. But for more dressed-負かす／撃墜する events or during the day, she shouldn't be 脅すd of 層ing dresses over trousers and ジーンズs and 追加するing a jacket or cardigan over the 最高の，を越す. Even a leather jacket and ジーンズs would look good with this dress.

With her hair, we created really feminine curls which are 軟化するing to her 直面する. She looks like an 絶対の starlet - she could give Kylie a run for her money.

NAOMI SAYS:

I love this dress. It is very slinky and flattering - because it doesn't 粘着する to my tummy. I wouldn't usually choose this colour, or such a floaty 構成要素, but I feel really comfortable in it.

I can't believe Trinny thinks I look like Kylie.

What a compliment! The 構成 is amazing and the hair is really fun. It's nice to have proper curls for a change.
