100 best beauty 製品s: day two

Looking after your 肌 is important, but finding the 権利 製品s and settling on a beauty 政権 that 作品 can be a 完全にする minefield. One minute we're told we can't do without fruit 酸性のs, then it's green tea - so how can we make the 権利 choice?

Skincare is so personal that price, brands, 約束s and 研究 can never truly 反映する how a cream 成し遂げるs on an individual.

I have friends who would never touch anything more exciting than a bumper マリファナ of E45 cream and others who couldn't 生き残る without their posh jar of Cr?me de la Mer.

But as someone who 猛烈に wants to believe the 約束s that surround facial 製品s, I will try anything in my 追求（する），探索（する） to find the best.

Those I have chosen on this, the second day of our 最高の，を越す 100 Beauty 製品s, are the ones that made a 重要な difference not only to my 肌 but that of friends and 同僚s, too.

Julia says: 適用する the （土地などの）細長い一片 to damp 肌, wait a moment, then 引き裂く off. You'll be pleasantly surprised - and disgusted - by the 量 of pore-clogging dirt you'll 除去する.

Patrick says: A cunning idea. Getting rid of blackheads is important, and these seem to do the trick to a degree, though they leave 肌 rather 乾燥した，日照りの.

No 7 Hydraboost Mask, £11/100g (Boots).

Julia says: My favourite 直面する mask of all time. With a gorgeous, clean fragrance, it is rich and creamy and gives 肌 an instant 攻撃する，衝突する of hydration, leaving i t smooth and invigorated.

Patrick says: Designed to 申し込む／申し出 肌 a quick 上げる, this fresh-scented mask 含む／封じ込めるs an impressive 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる） of 効果的な moisturising 成分s and 保護の antioxidants.

Guerlain Issima Midnight Secret, £51/30ml (stockists: 01932 233 874)

Julia says: 述べるd as sleep in a 瓶／封じ込める, this is 価値（がある） every penny, 特に if you're 傾向がある to partying late and want to look half decent next day. As a mother of two small daughters, I rely on it.

Patrick says: Smells expensive and leaves the complexion smooth. 製品s designed to work 夜通し can be やめる 効果的な because 肌 metabolism 増加するs as the 団体／死体 残り／休憩（する）s.

Lancome T 支配（する）／統制する, £22.50/30ml (広範囲にわたって 利用できる).

Julia says: My make-up has stayed 向こうずね-解放する／自由な since I started using this. The gel, once 適用するd under or over make-up, does more to keep 肌 matte than 砕く ever can.

Patrick says: Shiny areas do stay matte for longer. But this 製品 単に 吸収するs grease from the pores. At the moment the only things that slow oil 生産／産物 are ビタミン A taken orally on prescription, or レーザー 治療.

Julia says: A pocket sized roll-on that 含む／封じ込めるs tea tree oil and green tea 抽出するs. Dab on 位置／汚点／見つけ出すs, 削減（する）s, sunburn or ingrown hairs to soothe 即時に. A 奇蹟-労働者.

Patrick says: Tea tree oil is 井戸／弁護士席-known for its anti-inflammatory 所有物／資産／財産s. This smells fresh, is 平易な to 適用する and 乾燥した，日照りのs quickly.

Sisley Radiant Glow 表明する mask, £37/60ml (stockists 0207 491 2722).

Julia says: An 効果的な 洗浄するing mask that is 平易な to 適用する and 除去する and really does 追加する sparkle in just three to five minutes. A 広大な／多数の／重要な quick 直す／買収する，八百長をする.

Patrick says: This 製品 含む／封じ込めるs clays, which are 井戸／弁護士席 known for their ability to 除去する 破片 and toxins from the 肌.

Creme de la Mer T he 精製するing Facial, £60/100ml (stockists 01730 232 566).

Julia says: This 直面する scrub 含む／封じ込めるs - wait for it - 鎮圧するd diamonds. A gimmick, I thought. But one 裁判，公判 was all it took to realise that this was the exfoliator for me. Leaves 肌 pink and fresh.

Patrick says: A fresh, pleasant sensation but this may be a little too abrasive for more 極度の慎重さを要する 肌s.

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, £21.50/50ml (広範囲にわたって 利用できる).

Julia says: Still a bestseller after 20 years. 適用する before make-up the morning after the night before for an instant 選ぶ-me-up and glow.

Patrick says: Feels light and plumps out 罰金 lines. Like most 直面する creams, 影響s may be いっそう少なく noticeable with repeated use, so keep for special occasions.

Jurlique Herbal 回復 Gel, £42.50/30ml (stockists: 08707 700)

Julia says: A 広大な／多数の／重要な 投資. Packed with antioxidants taken from red ワイン, grape seeds and green tea, it 申し込む／申し出s tired 肌 an all-natural 上げる.

Patrick says: This serum smells rather strange but the 成分s 含む ビタミン C, which is a good 保護の antioxidant to look for in a moisturiser.

Cleansers

Liz Earle 洗浄する and ポーランドの（人） Hot Cloth Cleanser, £10/100ml with 2 muslin cloths (stockists: 01983 813 913 or www.lizearle.com).

Julia says: The cloth that comes with the 製品 buffs the 肌 as you rinse, leaving it feeling smooth and fresh. The cleanser is also rich enough to 除去する 激しい 注目する，もくろむ make-up.

Patrick says: Forget the hype about the natural 成分s - a cleanser is designed to be washed off the 肌, after all. However, I do think the cloth is an excellent idea: a gentle buff every day will help to keep 肌 （疑いを）晴らす and healthy. I like this 製品.

有機の Pharmacy Carrot Butter Cleanser, £15.95/60g (stockists: 020 7351 2232).

Julia says: The smallest 量 of this rich balm will 完全に 洗浄する your 直面する. It's brilliant for 乾燥した，日照りの 肌s and is truly 有機の.

Patrick says: A good rich cleanser - but because of its oily texture, only suitable for very 乾燥した，日照りの or more 円熟した 肌s.

Neutrogena Norwegian 決まり文句／製法 Hydrating 洗浄するing Wipes, £3.99/ 25 wipes (広範囲にわたって 利用できる).

Julia says: 洗浄するing wipes are one of the best beauty 発明s of 最近の years. Some can be rather 乾燥した，日照りのing, but these aren't and they are a nice price.

Patrick says: The idea that an 効果的な cleanser can moisturise at the same time is nonsense. However, these may be いっそう少なく 厳しい than some. The combination of exfoliating cloth and cleanser is an excellent one.

MD 公式化s Facial Cleanser for oily/problem-傾向がある 肌, £23.50/250ml (stockists: 0870 850 6655).

Julia says: If you have an oily complexion, acne or just need something to 支配（する）／統制する your 肌 when it plays up, this exfoliating cleanser is excellent.

Patrick says: This 製品 含む／封じ込めるs glycolic 酸性の - a fruit 酸性の - that has been shown to be a 高度に 効果的な cleanser for oily 肌. Often 定める／命ずるd by dermatologists, it's good value as the large 瓶／封じ込める will last for ages.

Eyecare

Estee Lauder 前進するd Night 修理 注目する，もくろむ 回復 コンビナート／複合体, £29/15ml (stockists: 01730 232 566).

Julia says: Lightened the dark circles under my 注目する，もくろむs.

Patrick says: 注目する，もくろむ creams can definitely help to moisturise, but dab sparingly around the socket only or 危険 puffiness.

Helena Rubinstein 軍隊 C 注目する，もくろむ Contour Cream, £32/50ml (stockists: 08701 109 705).

Julia says: This featherlight, quickly-吸収するd 製品 makes it suitable for day and evening 使用／適用. 注目する，もくろむ area felt fresh and 生き返らせるd.

Patrick says: A good light gel with antioxidants to help regenerate and 保護する.

Rimmel Hide The Blemish, £2.69 (広範囲にわたって 利用できる).

Julia says: There's one of these sold every 30 seconds in the UK - and I can see why. This value-formoney concea ler stick covers dark circles and blemishes perfectly.

Patrick says: For the price, the texture is good and there's a colour for most complexions.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream, £18 (広範囲にわたって 利用できる).

Julia says: Kylie may use this to give her 脚s a sexy sheen but I use it to moisturise everything. I couldn't be without it - it's so versatile.

Patrick says: It 含む／封じ込めるs soothing 成分s which may feel comfortable on very 乾燥した，日照りの patches - but it's rather sticky.

Moisturisers

Dermalogica Active Moist, £20.75/52ml (stockists: 0800 591 818).

Julia says: If you have oily 肌 and thought you didn't need to moisturise, think again. This hugely popular oil-解放する／自由な 決まり文句／製法 will help 保護する 肌 from 汚染 損失 without 与える／捧げるing to 位置／汚点／見つけ出すs.

Patrick says: A pleasant-smelling, lightweight cream which I would recommend for oily or younger 肌s.

Neal's Yard Frankincense Nourishing Cream, £10.25/40g (stockists: 020 7627 1949).

Julia says: A favourite of 地雷 for some time now. It's 安心させるing to know it is packed with natural 成分s that 会社／堅い and moisturise 円熟した 肌.

Patrick says: A rather greasy cream, so best for women with dryer 肌s.

Elemis プロの／賛成の-Collagen 海洋 Cream, £75/50ml (stockists: 020 8954 8033 or www.elemis.com).

Julia says: I love the more natural 成分s that Elemis use and this light cream 申し込む／申し出s powerful hydration without feeling greasy.

Patrick says: This sweetly fragranced cream feels good on the 肌. A good moisturiser.

Bharti Vyas 肌 知恵 Light Daily Moisturiser, £3/200ml (stockists: 0800 505

Julia says: If you like a light moisturiser, this is a good one at a 広大な／多数の／重要な price. Smells lovely and moisturises without feeling greasy.

Patrick says: A lightweight lotion, suitable for young or oily 肌s.
