Two of Princess Diana's iconic dresses to go on 陳列する，発揮する at Kensington Palace

Two dresses worn by Diana, Princess of むちの跡s which were bought for nearly £130,000 yesterday will be 陳列する，発揮するd to the public for years to come.

The gowns, part of an auction of 10 of the princess's dresses yesterday, were bought by the charity Historic 王室の Palaces, which runs Kensington Palace, Diana's former 住居.

And the palace is hoping to 陳列する，発揮する at least one of the new dresses in an 展示 this summer と一緒に other items from their 王室の 儀式の Dress Collection.

To 避ける 損失, the 衣料品s will not go on 永久の 陳列する，発揮する but will periodically be shown to the public in 展示s, a spokeswoman said.

The charity spent £50,400 on a Bruce Oldfield 黒人／ボイコット velvet evening gown, worn for an 公式の／役人 portrait by Lord Snowdon and at the 祝祭 開始 of Les 哀れなs at the Barbican Centre in 1985.

They also 購入（する）d a pink sequinned crepe dress by Catherine Walker, worn on a 公式訪問 to Brazil in 1991, for £78,000.

The 衣料品s were 初めは sold, with a number of others, by Diana herself に引き続いて her 離婚 from the Prince of むちの跡s to raise money for charity at the suggestion of Prince William.

While the 星／主役にする lot of the sale at Kerry Taylor Auctions in London sold for £240,000, the auctioneer said she was 特に pleased about the sales to the palace.

Kerry Taylor said: It's important for the 世代s to come.

'Diana was the people's princess, so the people should be able to see these dresses. This is our 遺産, our history.'

A Historic 王室の Palaces spokeswoman said: "We are delighted to 確認する 独立した・無所属 charity Historic 王室の Pala ces 購入（する）d two dresses from the sale of dresses worn by Diana, Princess of むちの跡s at Kerry Taylor Auctions yesterday.

'The dresses will remain in the UK to become part of our 永久の 王室の 儀式の Dress Collection, 保存するing them for 未来 世代s and 確実にするing that 訪問者s to Kensington Palace will be able to see these unique items for years to come.

'The dresses are important examples of the work of two designers the princess chose on many occasions.

'The princess wore the 黒人／ボイコット velvet Bruce Oldfield evening gown in a 井戸／弁護士席-known formal portrait by Lord Snowdon.

'She wore the ivory silk crepe evening gown decorated with pink sequins by Catherine Walker during a 公式訪問 to Brazil.

'The two dresses 示す the 進化 of the princess's style from the romanticism of the 中央の-1980s to the sleek and sophisticated silhouettes of the 早期に 1990s.'

She 追加するd that the charity hoped at least one of the new dresses would go on 陳列する，発揮する in an 展示 at Kensington Palace this summer.

The show will feature dresses worn by the Queen, Princess Margaret and Diana.
