Fashion blogger Leandra Medine on what it REALLY means to be a Man Repeller as she debuts her first memoir at just 24

If Leandra Medine's New York apartment were to 燃やす 負かす/撃墜する, she wouldn't save her Valentino shoes, Acne blazer or Preen blouse.

Instead, the fashion blogger, whose memoir Man Repeller: 捜し出すing Love. Finding 全体にわたるs is scheduled for 解放(する) on September 10, would 救助(する) her パスポート, ユダヤ人の 祈り 調書をとる/予約する and a 一面に覆う/毛布 she has had since birth.

'I wouldn't save 着せる/賦与するing,' the 24-year-old 認める to MailOnline. 'I have always had a (n)艦隊/(a)素早いing 関係 with 着せる/賦与するing.'

It's certainly an 予期しない answer from a young woman who is mostly known for 令状ing about, and dressing in, high fashion. But Ms Medine, the author behind 攻撃する,衝突する fashion blog The Man Repeller, has never been one to 適合する - her blunt honesty and quick-witted style commentary turning her into a 世帯 指名する.

From childhood through to high school, college at The New School - during which she 開始する,打ち上げるd Man Repeller in April 2010 - her blog’s success and her 最近の wedding, the 調書をとる/予約する chronicles Ms Medine's biggest life 障害物s through one 巨大(な) fashion レンズ.

When asked whether she's still Man-Repelling, a 称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語 Ms Medine defined in 2010 as 'outfitting oneself in a sartorially 不快な/攻撃 way that will result in repelling members of the opposite sex,' she says she never really 始める,決める out to Man Repel men, but rather to give a 'nod to self 信用/信任'.

Ms Medine shrugs off the notion that young women might be afraid to wear 確かな 高度に-coveted fashion 傾向s that women adore and?men abhor (harem pants, boyfriend ジーンズs, 全体にわたるs, clogs, or 十分な-length jumpsuits, for example), for 恐れる of repelling men.

'You can't 許す that 逮捕 to permeate you psyche,' she explained. 'You have to keep a feeling of goodness in your exteriors.'

Although 'white socks' are up there on her 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる) of most embarrassing fashion moments ('I forgot to take off my socks!' she yelled after she lost her virginty age 19), Ms Medine (人命などを)奪う,主張するs she 'doesn't really get embarrassed' by her often eccentric choices. 'That's part of learning to be expressive,' she said.

類似して, nothing is off 限界s when it comes to fashion. 'I never thought I'd wear Birkenstocks, but here I am!' she laughed, before 追加するing: 'Having said that, I'm pretty sure I'd never wear Crocs.'

Ms Medine, who is frequently photographed in 高級な designer pieces and is subsequently asked how she afforded the expenses of blogging 十分な-time while 熟考する/考慮するing, grows cagey when asked whether her parents ever helped her.

'I never borrowed money from mom,' she said. 'I lived at home, but my parents never helped me. I worked hard and moved out. I 扱う/治療するd my blog like a 商売/仕事, hard work is important.'

指名するd one of the 25 best blogs of 2012 by Time magazine, with 1.5million unique page 見解(をとる)s per month, Ms Medine's hard work seems to have paid off.
