Sex sells, but sexism shouldn't.
Sexist advertising is everywhere, but no more so than in 産業s where young men are the 的d 消費者s. One 製品 which seems 特に susceptible to misogynistic advertising is the condom.
In an 広告 from 2012 that has resurfaced recently, Durex advertised their 'XXL' condom 範囲 with an image of a woman's mouth with 包帯s on either 味方する of her lips.
The 広告 暗示するs that the woman's male partner was so 'extra large' in the genital department that the woman's mouth was 負傷させるd when 成し遂げるing oral sex because her lips weren't big enough.?

Although Durex (人命などを)奪う,主張するd they didn't create the 広告 themselves, they did 是認する it by putting it on their 公式の/役人 social マスコミ pages.
The 広告 was 地位,任命するd on Durex UK's Facebook page with the caption 'Poor woman…(or maybe lucky one)?' and 除去するd すぐに after as 批評 swelled.?
Georgia Leaker, 創立者 of the website F is for Feminism, said she thought the 広告 was 'foul' and 表明するd her 失望 to Daily Mail Australia. ??

The problem, she explained, is not just the overtly sexist 関わりあい/含蓄 of 暴力/激しさ against women, but that the condom 広告s 増強する gender stereotypes.?
'広告s like these 増強する the idea that sex is only about men's 楽しみ. If we want to 促進する 同意 and healthy sexuality in young people, we cant 受託する advertising like this,' Ms Leaker said.
Feminist writer and (衆議院の)議長 Clementine Ford also spoke to Daily Mail Australia about the 広告, 説 it was 'disgusting'.
'Sex might sell, but there's no need to be lazy about it. The use of sexist images in advertising isn't fun or comedic - it's 証拠 that your 機関 needs to be bette r. If you build it, we will come,' she said.

It's not the first time Durex has created a distasteful 広告 for their 製品s. In 2014 Durex Thailand 地位,任命するd an 広告 on Facebook that read in Thai '28 per cent of women that fought ended up 同意ing'.
The 広告 was online for around 10 hours before 存在 taken 負かす/撃墜する, after angry commentators said that Durex was 促進するing 強姦.

The 広告s are 明確に made for the straight male gaze, even though statisti cs show that women (不足などを)補う 41 per cent of all condom sales.
Durex aren't the only company to run into trouble. 地位,任命するs on condom company Four Seasons' Instagram account 増強する?stereotypes?about women not wanting sex and make crass jokes.?

However not all condom companies are creating sexist advertising. Sydney startup Hero condoms has taken a different approach to advertising, 確実にするing their 広告s are 女性(の) friendly.
Hero condoms 創立者 Dustin Leonard said he thought that most condom 広告s were 'やめる extreme'.
'Some of the [condom] advertising and marketing is やめる degrading to women. That wouldn’t 飛行機で行く in any other 産業,?I don’t know how they would get away with it,' he said.
Mr Leonard says that Hero condoms 確実にするs their marketing is 'respectful to both genders' and socially responsible. ?
