‘I introduced Place2Be to the school because I realised the important of counselling and mental wellbeing but didn’t have the wherewithal to do it myself.

‘The Duchess was really 利益/興味d in how it worked, how Place2Be worked in a school 環境 and how it helps all children, not just those 特に having 取引 with them day to day.

‘She was very 利益/興味d in our discussion about how food can change moods. She was telling us how much her children love cooking and how they cook for her. They made cheesy pasta the other day.??

During her visit to Lavender 最初の/主要な School, Kate met teachers and students taking part in Children’s Mental Health Week activities and sat in on two different lessons 焦点(を合わせる)ing on the importance of physical and mental health.?

She then travelled to Alperton Community School to 会合,会う the UK’s first 勝利者 of the Varkey 創立/基礎 全世界の Teacher Prize, Andria Zafirakou, and find out more about the programmes the school runs to support both students and teachers with their mental wellbeing.

行方不明になる Zafirakou won the 全世界の prize in 2018 in 承認 of her 出資/貢献 to the school community. On arrival the duchess joined a 円卓会議の discussion with teachers about students’ school 準備完了 and teacher 福利事業.

She also met students taking part in the 無作為の 行為/法令/行動するs of 親切 Club, which is an extracurricular club 焦点(を合わせる)ing on the wellbeing of the school community.

Before 出発/死ing Kate dropped in on an art class where she heard how the school uses art to 高める children’s 信用/信任 and creativity.

She encouraged young people to switch off from the online world and 焦点(を合わせる) on their true talents.

Kate あられ/賞賛するd a budding artist as a ‘fantastic advert’ for what young people can do. Shown the work of A-level student Shaquille, 16, she said: ‘Wow, this is what you can do when you’re not on social マスコミ!’

Kate was at Alperton Community School in north London to 示す Children’s Mental Health Week. At another school earlier, she produced a photo of her family for a Year 2 ‘show and tell’.

Asked to show ‘something that makes you happy’, she opened her 黒人/ボイコット clutch 捕らえる、獲得する and teased: ‘I’ve got something. It’s not very big. Do you want to see it?’

Kate, continued: ‘This is a photograph of my family. These are my children and this is my husband.

‘My family makes me feel happy. We like playing outside together and spending lots of time together... and that makes me feel very happy.’
