A?savvy woman has 明らかにする／漏らすd how she managed to create a gourmet extravaganza on a 予算 of £100, working out to just £2-a-長，率いる.

Samantha Watkins, 40, from the UK, decided that for her special Nanna's 78th birthday, she would put together something meaningful and homemade to celebrate.

'Since an 早期に age, I have always loved cooking and baking,' the mother-of-three told money-saving community LatestDeals.co.uk. 'I learned a lot from my Nanna Sylvia.'

'I used to go to work with my nan when I was a child. She worked on building 場所／位置s catering for the 労働者s, and she then went on to own a cafe in the Roman Road Indoor Market in London, where I joined her every Saturday to cook and take orders all at the grand old age of 12.

'I've done many a catering 職業 for family friends over the years - it's a real passion.'

Samantha, a homemaker who is married to husband James Watkins, 追加するd:?'My Nanna Sylvia is very special to our family.

'We all adore her, but no one more than me! Myself and my mum Susan decided we would do Nanna a birthday get together with a few family and friends.

'We decided that between my mum and her siblings, instead of going out for a meal out which Nan doesn't really enjoy, we would do something at mum's house and 分裂（する） the 法案 for the food between mum and her siblings.'

Samantha, who has three?children, Alfie, one, 妖精／密着させる, eight and Katie, 14,?started with a little 調書をとる／予約する that she likes to doodle in,?and started making a 計画（する） of 活動／戦闘 for what food she was going to do.

'Nanna loves beef curry and rice so that was a must on the 名簿（に載せる）／表（にあげる）,' she explained. 'But I thought that not everyone likes spicy food, so I decided to do hot dogs for the childr en and those who don't eat curry, along with some 味方するs of 小型の vegetable samosas, spring rolls and naan.'

Speaking of her nan, Sylvia (pictured) said: 'We all adore her, but no one more than me! Myself and my mum Susan decided we would do Nanna a birthday get together with a few family and friends'

'I shopped around at Tesco, Sainsbury, アイスランド and Lidl to find 取引，協定s. For example, Lidl do coriander at 29p, 反して a whole 捕らえる、獲得する at Tesco is £1.25 so big 貯金 there.'

'Four Chicken breasts already cooked at アイスランド were £3 against Tesco which was £5.90 for 4. Sainsbury's had 申し込む／申し出s on their salad that week for 49p and Lidl sliced smoked salmon was £2.95 a pack.'

'Looking around all the shops for the best 取引，協定s and price comparing is the way to keep cost low.'

She continued: 'A friend kindly did some lamb samosas and homemade coleslaw to go along with the curry. My cousin マイク is also 井戸／弁護士席-known in the family for his homemade foot-long sausage rolls and homemade scotch eggs.

'I like to make 挟むs fresh with good 質 meats so I decided to use chicken breasts for the chicken salad 挟むs and for the ham, I bought a small ham 共同の and boiled it myself. It 作品 out cheaper to buy a 共同の of ham and cook it yourself than to buy packs.'

'You get far more meat from a 共同の then you would from pre-packed meat and it tastes so much better.'

Samantha and her mum went on the 追跡（する） for 井戸／弁護士席-定価つきの food they could cook, buying items from a number of different shops to keep costs 負かす／撃墜する.

'Myself and my mum shopped around in different shops for the items I knew I would find at better value,' Samantha explained.

'The 計画（する） was three different types of 挟むs, egg mayonnaise, chicken salad and ham, two lots of different hot food and a few 味方するs of picky bits like sausage rolls, 小型の pizzas, 小型の cocktail sausages: the typical food people love to see and eat on a buffet.

'I love smoked salmon and beetroot so I decided I'd do a little of what I like and created a 小型の toast with beetroot cream cheese topped with some smoked salmon and dill.

'A good 有望な fruit platter and a veggie platter always looks 控訴，上告ing so that was a must to have along with a few naughty 小型の cakes and chocolate rolls.'

'We were going to take Nan 初めは to the Ned Hotel in London for a two hour buffet 定価つきの at £50 a 長，率いる - we saved hundreds doing it ourselves and had no time 限界.
