SARAH, 37
My Dating Past
I married my holiday romance, a man I met on my gap year in my 20s. Though we 分裂(する) five years ago, we’re still good friends and 株 parenting 責任/義務s. I’m in lockdown in Thailand with my boys. We were 予定 to be 長,率いるing 支援する to the UK after a visit, but will have to wait until the 現在の 危機 ends.
Pre-date 神経s?
It was weird not knowing anything about him, as I’m used to getting to know someone before a date. I wasn’t nervous, though. I tried to make it feel like a real date, and even spritzed myself with my favourite perfume and wore a little 黒人/ボイコット off-the-shoulder dress.
First impressions?
Andy looked like a nice guy, and he’s definitely handsome, but I was taken aback by how formal he looked. I was hanging out on my balcony with a G&T while he had 始める,決める the (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する 適切に with a bunch of flowers. He wore a smart shirt and jacket. I felt a bit like I was having a 職業 interview.
平易な to talk to?
Andy is a 広大な/多数の/重要な 物語を話す人/作家. The conversation meandered in lots of directions. I introduced him to a rapper whose music I discovered recently; we even had a little dance. I also 設立する out his dad was 責任がある putting the 禁止(する)d Steps together and his step-mum choreographed the 禁止(する)d’s first dance, so I was hoping he’d give me a demonstration of their 5,6,7,8!
Any embarrassing moments?
No, I don’t think so.
Did 誘発するs 飛行機で行く?
I wouldn’t say there was a 抱擁する 量 of flirting, but it’s difficult on 審査する. Andy was maybe a little formal because he didn’t know what I was like.
Would you like to 会合,会う him in person?
IT would be 広大な/多数の/重要な to 会合,会う for a drink when I’m 支援する in London. He has 示唆するd a second 事実上の date, but I’d rather 会合,会う in person.
What do you think he thought of you?
From the lovely messages he sent after our date, with some charming compliments, it sounds like he had fun and I hope he enjoyed my company. He said I had a good 態度 to life.
Would you like to take him home to your family?
I think they’d be pleasantly surprised if I turned up with such a 井戸/弁護士席-dressed, good-looking guy, as I tend to go for more 代案/選択肢 characters.

ANDY, 36
My dating past
My last 関係 lasted eight years. We were engaged and living together, but I’ve been 選び出す/独身 since we broke up two years ago. I’d been engaged once before, and had another long-称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語 関係, too. I’m beginning to feel like the groomsman and never the groom!
Pre-date 神経s?
I was a little nervous, but excited. I’d 普通は make an 成果/努力 on a first date so I wore smart ジーンズs, a freshly アイロンをかけるd white shirt and a jacket. I even 始める,決める the (米)棚上げする/(英)提議する and bought a rainbow bunch of tulips.
First impressions
Sarah looked 素晴らしい. She has an 空気/公表する of Scarlett Johansson about her. She was sitting on her balcony and I could hear 熱帯の insect sounds in the background. I felt a bit wistful I wasn’t there.
平易な to talk to?
The conversation was 解放する/自由な-flowing ― we talked for six hours. There were serious moments, 同様に as plenty of laughs and banter.
We both have the same travel bucket 名簿(に載せる)/表(にあげる), with 目的地s such as Machu Picchu in Peru. We also discovered we are both big planners; we even compared the contents of our first-援助(する) 道具s as we both like to be 用意が出来ている for anything. And we played guessing games ― such as the size of the Thai and UK 全住民s ― and she (警官の)巡回区域,受持ち区域 me on both.
Sarah made me relax and I felt I could be myself. I can talk a lot, but she can 持つ/拘留する her own.
Embarrassing moments?
Not really, apart from my dancing, perhaps.
Did 誘発するs 飛行機で行く??
I think we were flirting . . . I certainly was.
Would you like to 会合,会う her in person?
絶対. When she gets 支援する to the UK and social distancing is relaxed, it would be 広大な/多数の/重要な to have dinner and go for a proper dance.
What do you think she thought of you?
I hope she liked me. At the end of the call we said we’d do it again, so I’m definitely hoping a second date is on the cards. Given the 現在の 状況/情勢, it might have to be on 審査する.
Would you like to take her home to your family?
She’d get on with them. Family is important to both of us.?
