1. Exfoliating is overplayed

The first skincare mistake that's overrated is exfoliation, 特に every day.

'Ask any dermatologist and they'll tell you, you don't need to exfoliate every 選び出す/独身 day,' Natalie said.??

'Skincare brands have 製品s that they want to sell you. and you will use them up quicker if you exfoliate every 選び出す/独身 day.'

She said if you exfoliate every day, your 肌's 障壁 will probably struggle and your complexion will look worse.

'We are 条件d to think that the 肌 needs exfoliation, but it 現実に exfoliates itself,' Natalie said.

'It has its own natural turnover, it doesn't need you to interact with it all the time. If you just 保護する it, keep it hydrated and exfoliate maybe once a week or once every two weeks, you'll probably have better results with your 肌.'

2. ビタミン C can do more 害(を与える) than good

Lots of skincare 専門家s 定期的に extol the 利益s of ビタミン C serums, but N atalie said they can in fact do 'more 害(を与える) than good'.

'Several dermatologists that I follow don't use ビタミン C, it's not that necessary, and it can 現実に be one of the most irritating actives to use,' she said.

Natalie explained that she hasn't used ビタミン C except under her 注目する,もくろむs in a 'very long time' and she has 設立する her 肌 is much calmer as a result.?

She recommended cutting 負かす/撃墜する your usage and seeing if your complexion is いっそう少なく red and inflamed as a result.

3. 肌 cycling is overrated

Finally, the beauty buff said she thinks 肌 cycling - which is the practice of using your 製品s strategically to maximise results and 会社にする/組み込むing 残り/休憩(する) days, so you don't overdo it - doesn't always work.

'肌 cycling has helped lots of people and that's a good thing, but it's also not a really new 概念 and not everybody needs 化学製品 exfoliants and retinoids,' Natalie said.?

She said you will probably see better results if you 会社にする/組み込む something into your skincare 決まりきった仕事 and stick with it, rather than chopping and changing all the time.

The most clogging items in your regime include moisturisers that are too heavy for your skin, certain foundations and concealers and oil cleansers that contain ethylex or palmate that aren't washed off properly, Natalie (pictured) said

以前, Natalie 株d the five steps that have 完全に transformed the texture of her 肌.

She said 二塁打 洗浄するing is 絶対 批判的な to making sure your 肌 is (疑いを)晴らす, plump and hydrated - and it's the 'most 効果的な way of 妨げるing clogged pores'.

Natalie typically uses one of her 洗浄するs to 除去する the 構成 and 破片 from the surface of the 肌. For this, she loves to use an oil cleanser.

Next, she uses a water-based cleanser for 45 seconds to one minute to 確実にする her pores are 完全に (疑いを)晴らすd out before she goes to bed.

'Second is 人物/姿/数字ing out what is 原因(となる)ing the clogs in your 肌,' Natalie said.

'If you're not 除去するing that, then you're going to be fighting an 上りの/困難な 戦う/戦い.'

'Third, I started using a retinoid, and a retinoid is what 完全に transf ormed my 肌,' Natalie said.?

The beauty buff 追加するd that if she had to put her results 負かす/撃墜する to 'one thing', it would be using retinoid - and you should use one over all other actives.

Finally, Natalie said she stopped 選ぶing her 肌 and stayed 一貫した with her 決まりきった仕事:

'It's boring, but you'll never see results if you keep chopping and changing,' she said.

'You're never going to 達成する results if you keep trying out things you've seen on TikTok.'?
