Now long car or rail trips bring DVT 危険

A 熟考する／考慮する has 設立する a 重要な link between 深い vein thrombosis and such trips, but only for those already at high 危険 of 苦しむing a 血 clot.

Its findings 示唆する that at least 3,000 Britions a year develop the 条件 に引き続いて a 旅行 of more than three hours.

There has been 増加するing alarm over the 危険 of DVT from taking a long-運ぶ／漁獲高 flight.

Clots form in the lower 脚 but are liable to fragment and 宿泊する in the 肺, 原因（となる）ing a pulmonary embolism which is often 致命的な.

航空機によるs, which are 直面するing 抱擁する 補償（金） （人命などを）奪う，主張するs from travellers who say they 苦しむd DVT, have 主張するd that the 条件 is not 特に linked to 飛行機で行くing but can occur in any 状況／情勢 where people are immobile for long periods.

However, some 専門家s believe that low 圧力 and low 湿度 in an aeroplane cabin, 連合させるd with the 危険 of dehydration from drinking too much alcohol or too little water, may also 与える／捧げる.

妊娠している women and those on hormone 交替／補充 therapy are also considered at higher 危険.

Dr Ander Cohen, a thrombosis 専門家 who led the 研究, said: 'If you have one of these factors and you travel for more than three hours, your 危険 of DVT goes up threefold. It is a 重要な 増加する in 危険.'

All forms of travel in which people remained immobile were risky for those with one or more of the factors, he said.

'But if you are fit and 井戸／弁護士席, you can probably travel for 12 hours without any trouble.'

'During 空襲s, people were sitting still for hours and then coming up and dying of pulmonary embolism. It doesn't 事柄 if you are sitting in a 計画（する）, a car, a bus or a 爆弾 避難所.

'I saw a young woman recently who was stuck in a motorway traffic jam and 苦しむd a big thrombosis.'

Dr Cohen's team 熟考する／考慮するd almost 600 患者s with 嫌疑者，容疑者／疑うd DVT. 実験（する）s showed that 185 had a clot in their 脚. Of these, 51 had made a 旅行 of longer than three hours in the previous week.

If the findings are 適用するd to the UK as a whole, about 3,000 事例／患者s of DVT are 存在 原因（となる）d each year by a combination of travel and 存在するing 危険 factor, said Dr Cohen, whose findings are 報告（する）／憶測d in the British 定期刊行物 of Haematology.

The 研究 raises 関心s over the 計画／陰謀 to send NHS 患者s to Europe for 操作／手術s. '最近の 外科 is one of the important 危険 factors,' Dr Cohen said.
