Making small lifestyle changes could 妨げる more than four in ten 癌s, によれば a major 熟考する／考慮する.

Scientists have calculated that at least 134,000 事例／患者s 診断するd in Britain last year were 誘発する／引き起こすd by 原因（となる）s such as smoking, obesity, poor diet, alcohol or even not breastfeeding.

They say that although many of us are 辞職するd to the belief that getting 癌 is just 負かす／撃墜する to 運命／宿命, tweaking our lifestyle can 劇的な 減ずる our 半端物s.

研究員s analysed hundreds of 熟考する／考慮するs on the 原因（となる）s of the most ありふれた forms of the 病気 to work out how many were the result of lifestyle or 環境の factors.

They calculated that 40 per cent of 癌s in women were preventable compared with 45 per cent in men.

Smoking was by far the biggest 原因（となる）. 研究員s calculated it was 責任がある nearly 61,000 cas es 診断するd last year, nearly a fifth of the total.

Dr Harpal Kumar of 癌 研究 said: ‘Most healthcare systems in the world are spending disproportiona te levels of 資源s. There is a strong 事例／患者 to be made for more 資源s 存在 spent on 予防.’

Dr Rachel Thompson, of the World 癌 研究 基金, said: ‘We hope this helps to raise 認識／意識性 that 癌 is not 簡単に a question of 運命／宿命 and that people can make changes today that can 減ずる their 危険.’

‘The rising incidence of preventable 癌s shows that the “carrot” approach of voluntary 協定s with 産業 is not enough to 誘発する healthy behaviours, and needs to be 取って代わるd by the “stick” approach of 法律を制定する 解答s.’

Women who have mammograms halve their 危険 of death from breast 癌, says a 熟考する／考慮する.
