The 大多数 of us still eat far too much fat and not nearly enough fruit and veg, にもかかわらず endless 政府 health (選挙などの)運動をするs.

消費するing too much saturated fat raises the 危険 of heart problems and 糖尿病.

In fact just under half of adults have high cholesterol levels ? fatty deposits in the 血 that can 封鎖する 血 大型船s.

And a 4半期/4分の1 have high 血 圧力, によれば the Department of Health’s 年次の 国会 and 栄養 調査する.

It also showed that the 普通の/平均(する) adult is not eating enough oily fish ? such as salmon, sardines and tinned マグロ ? which helps 妨げる heart 病気.

The 普通の/平均(する) adult eats four 部分s of fruit and veg each day, with 31 per cent of people 老年の between 19 and 64 eating five.

Only 8 per cent of teenage girls and 11 per cent of boys eat their recommended five 部分s of fruit and vegetables a day.

On 普通の/平均(する) girls only manage 2.8 部分s while boys have three. This has not 改善するd since the 調査する was carried out last year.

Tracy Parker, 上級の dietician at the British Heart 創立/基礎, said: ‘The nation is 消費するing too much saturated fat and too many people have high cholesterol ? a major 危険 factor for heart and circulatory 病気.

‘It’s disappointing that a year on there has been n o real 改良 in the number of young people eating their five-a-day.

Fruit and vegetables help young minds and 団体/死体s develop and should be an integral part of any 十代の少年少女’s diet. It’s not just young people though ? all age groups are failing to (疑いを)晴らす the five-a-day 妨げる/法廷,弁護士業.

‘We’ve all got a part to play to 確実にする next year’s results are more 約束ing. It’s important that shoppers are able to see what’s in the food they’re buying and the 産業 should introduce traffic light colours on all food labels to help busy parents.’

The 調査する is 完全にするd by 500 adults and 500 children every year and is meant to 供給する a snapshot of the nation’s eating habits.

It also 設立する that 46 per cent of teenage girls and 23 per cent of women are not getting enough アイロンをかける.

This can lead to anaemia, which can 原因(となる) 疲労,(軍の)雑役 and light-headedness.

The 政府 has recently been criticised over its 試みる/企てるs to 改善する the nation’s eating habits and 逆転する the rising obesity levels.

Health 専門家s and charities have 表明するd scepticism over its ‘責任/義務 取引,協定’ 率先, whereby food 会社/堅いs are 許すd to 始める,決める their own 的s for 減ずるing sugar, salt and fat.

Another 熟考する/考慮する has 強調d the importance of a good diet in 取り組むing obesity.

研究 shows that contrary to popular opinion, 西部の人/西洋人s surrounded by mod 反対/詐欺s don’t 燃やす より小数の calories on a day to day basis than African tribes who spend their days 追跡(する)ing and foraging for food.

It 示唆するs that 欠如(する) of 演習 isn’t making us fat. Instead, what we eat is at the root of the problem.

American anthropologists 設立する that にもかかわらず walking for miles each day in search of food and 欠如(する)ing modern 器具/備品, the Hadza hunter-gatherers, from northern Tanzania, burnt off the same number of calories as 西部の人/西洋人s.

研究員 Dr Herman Pontzer, of Hunter College in New York, said this can be explained by physical activity only making up a small 割合 of our energy 必要物/必要条件s.

In the Hadza’s 事例/患者, their daily forays for food only accounted for 10 to 15 per cent of the energy used.

But 演習 is still important for general health. Dr Pontzer, who 詳細(に述べる)s his findings in the 定期刊行物 PLoS ONE, said: ‘演習 is important in 妨げるing heart 病気 and 糖尿病. It just probably isn’t a big part of the answer for the obesity 問題/発行する.’
