If you think by joining a gym you'll 回復する your fitness and lose 負わせる, then think again. Most people who 調印する up with a health club have so little spare time that they give up after only a few weeks.

And the only 続けざまに猛撃するs they manage to lose are the hundreds that they spent on 会員の地位 料金s.

研究 at one of Britain's 主要な sports universities has 確認するd the 疑惑s of many who join gyms 十分な of good 意向s.

Professor Stuart Biddle, of Loughborough University, said people 決定するd to get fit would be better off 会社にする/組み込むing 正規の/正選手 演習 into their daily 決まりきった仕事.

Walking to work rather than 運動ing, taking the stairs rather than the 解除する, and doing 穏やかな 演習 like gardening or きれいにする is a more 効果的な way of staying fit, he said.

演習 levels fluctuate

Speaking at the British Psychological Society's 年次の 会議/協議会 at 皇室の College, London, Professor Biddle said: 'People's' 約束/交戦 with 演習 will fluctuate as a result of other events in their lives. Structured 演習 at a gym can be too 破壊的な to everyday life.

'It's important to build 演習 into your daily 決まりきった仕事 - there are many other 代案/選択肢s to gym 会員の地位.

'We have got an obesity problem because we have lost those little bits of everyday activity that we used to have, like walking to the shops or to work.'

運動ing children to school rather than making them walk was also part of the problem, he said. 'Gyms are not the answer,' said the professor.

'Previous 世代s did not have gyms and yet they didn't have the obesity problem we have now.' His 研究 followed six people over a year as they tried to keep up 正規の/正選手 演習 at a gym.

He 設立する 欠如(する) of time, 責任/義務s of work or childcare, 退屈 with the 演習 政権 and 欠如(する) of support from gym staff led most to give up. They could then be left feeling worse than before they joined, he said.

Feeling of 犯罪

調印 up and then 行方不明の 開会/開廷/会期s can 原因(となる) demoralising feelings of 犯罪 and the knowledge that the large 会員の地位 料金 is 存在 wasted. The more 開会/開廷/会期s 行方不明になるd, the more 負わせる goes 支援する on and the いっそう少なく inclined you are to return to the gym.

Up to £1.25billion a year is 存在 spent on the burgeoning gym 産業 by the British public - up 50 per cent in five years.

Almost four million of us are members, with 80,000 new 新採用するs 調印 up each month.

But nine out of ten people stop going 定期的に within six weeks of joining, even though they have paid for a year's 会員の地位.

普通の/平均(する) 会員の地位 costs run to around £370 a year.
