Children 'may wet the bed because of genetics' rather than 強調する/ストレス or 存在 unhappy with some youngsters 40 per cent more likely to have a problem

  • A 熟考する/考慮する in Denmark 設立する a genetic combination which made it far more likely?
  • Five per cent of 10-year-olds and even some 十代の少年少女s have trouble staying 乾燥した,日照りの
  • The 研究員s said that parents should not 非難する the child for wetting the bed?

世代s of parents have worried that bedwetting could be 原因(となる)d by their children 苦しむing from 強調する/ストレス or 存在 unhappy ? but new 研究 has 明らかにする/漏らすd it could be a physiological rather than a psychological problem.

Academics who carried out a 熟考する/考慮する in Denmark discovered a genetic combination that made young people 40 per cent more likely to wet the bed.

Youngsters are 推定する/予想するd to be 乾燥した,日照りの at night from around the age of five, but at the age of 10, one in 20 is still having trouble and one in 50 十代の少年少女s are 影響する/感情d.

Dr Soren Rittig of Aarhus University Hospital in Denmark, who was 伴う/関わるd in the 研究, said: ‘It has been 示唆するd over many years that bedwetting is 負かす/撃墜する to psychological problems. But the 証拠 of this is poor.’

He and his 同僚s looked at 40,000 young Danes, of whom almost 4,000 were 影響する/感情d by bedwetting or had been 定める/命ずるd 医薬 for it.

By looking at デオキシリボ核酸 from both groups, they identified six genetic ‘variants’ in two areas of the 団体/死体 that 増加するd the chance of the problem occurring.

Dr Rittig said that の中で those with genetic variants in both areas, the 危険 of bedwetting was 40 per cent higher.

He 強調する/ストレスd the findings ‘can’t explain all bedwetting’ but 追加するd: ‘This 研究 is important because it speaks to support that bedwetting is not a psychological problem or something you should 非難する the child for.’

The 研究 will be 現在のd at a 会合 of the International Children’s Continence Society in Rome this September.

Children’s bowel and bladder charity Eric said 存在 wet at night ‘isn’t 原因(となる)d 直接/まっすぐに by psychological 問題/発行するs’. However, it 追加するd tha t 強調する/ストレス can explain why children start to wet again after a long (一定の)期間 of dryness.?
