A group of world health 専門家s wrote in British 医療の 定期刊行物 The Lancet this week and said the 突発/発生 is 'not under 支配(する)/統制する'.

They said 'bold 対策' are needed to stop it and called on the World Health Organization to take '激烈な 活動/戦闘'.

The African nation's 疫病/流行性の has been riddled with 新たな展開s and turns making fighting it more difficult.

Health 労働者s and 検疫 (軍の)野営地,陣営s have been attacked by 交戦的なs, some people are distrustful of 援助(する) 労働者s, and 非公式の 医療の centres in people's 前線 rooms have 与える/捧げるd to the 病気's spread.

'The 疫病/流行性の is not under 支配(する)/統制する,' said the article's lead auther, Lawrence Gostin, a 全世界の health faculty director at Georgetown University in Washington DC.

Professor Gostin and his 同僚s say the World Health Organization should consider 宣言するing the 突発/発生 a Public Health 緊急 of International 関心.

This 警報, a PHEIC, has only been used four times in the past ? for the last major Ebola 突発/発生 in 2014, the Swine flu 突発/発生 in 2009, a resurgence of Polio in 2014, and the Zika 突発/発生 in South America in 2016, によれば The Telegraph.

Invoking a PHEIC would 要求する another 会合 of the 世界保健機構's 緊急 委員会, which last met in October when the death (死傷者)数 was just 139.

The academics wrote: '世界保健機構, the DRC 政府, and 非,不,無-政府 organisation partners have shown remarkable leadership but are 不正に stretched.

'The 突発/発生 remains far from controlled, ris king a long-称する,呼ぶ/期間/用語 疫病/流行性の with 地域の, perhaps 全世界の, 衝撃s.'

They worry dense 全住民s and 正規の/正選手 移住 could spread the illness ? 300,000 難民s have fled to Uganda since the 突発/発生 began.

にもかかわらず their 警告, however, the academics 恐れるd 宣言するing a PHEIC could result in travel or 貿易(する) 禁止(する)s which would 損失 the country's economy.

In 返答 to the article, the 世界保健機構 yesterday said the DRC and nearby countries continue to 監視する the 状況/情勢s for 調印するs an 緊急 委員会 会合 might be needed.

The 専門家s argue the 基準 for 宣言するing an international 緊急 have been met, 含むing the public health 衝撃, size of the 突発/発生, and movement of people.

広報担当者 Tarik Jasarevic said: 'If and when we see those 調印するs, the director general will call a 会合.'

Dr Nathalie MacDermott, an Ebola 専門家 at 皇室の College London told MailOnline: 'The 宣言 of a PHEIC opens the door to 増加するd availability of 財政/金融s and 潜在的に greater 返答 from the international community.??

'However, a PHEIC should only be 宣言するd if there is 重要な 関心 about 含む/封じ込めるing an 疫病/流行性の and whether the 病気 may spread across international 国境s or to large 都市の centres.?

'Should there be spread across this 国境 or any international 国境 the 疫病/流行性の will likely be 宣言するd a PHEIC.'

Dr MacDermott 追加するd if health 当局 don't manage to get the 突発/発生 under 支配(する)/統制する, the 病気 could become embedded in the 地域 and 事例/患者s continue to pop up for years into the 未来.

Some local communities are distrustful of aid workers, which has impeded efforts to try and stop people passing the contagious virus on to one another. (Pictured: A health worker shows traditional healers how to use protective gloves)

The call to attention comes as Ebola has spread to 18 separate health zones in DRC.

And although many 初期の hotspots have been 含む/封じ込めるd, new ones have popped up in 最近の weeks.

WHAT IS MAKING THIS OUTBREAK DIFFICULT TO STOP??

The 現在の Ebola 突発/発生 in the Democratic 共和国 of the Congo has been continuing for six months.

Dr Nathalie MacDermott, an 専門家 on Ebola at 皇室の College London, 株d some of her thoughts on the 状況/情勢 with MailOnline.

Dr MacDermott said: 'The 現在の 突発/発生 has 提起する/ポーズをとるd 重要な challenges to 医療の teams on the ground.?

'The 地域 has 苦しむd several 10年間s of 現在進行中の 衝突 and 民兵 activity. This has 影響する/感情d the ability of responders to engage with communities to 供給する 認識/意識性 and encourage them to see 医療の teams 早期に for 実験(する)ing and 治療.?

'There has also been 重要な 危険 to 医療の teams, some of whom have been attacked, and in some 事例/患者s killed, by fearful community members and 民兵 groups operating in the 地域.?

'As such, and にもかかわらず the use of an 効果的な ワクチン, the 疫病/流行性の has continued to spread to different communities.

'This was recently 悪化させるd by 暴力/激しさ 妨げるing responders 接近ing 影響する/感情d communities. This resulted from 影響する/感情d communities not 存在 able to 投票(する) in 国家の 選挙s.'

WHAT CLASSES AS AN INTERNATIONAL HEALTH EMERGENCY?

The World Health Organization has only invoked a Public Health 緊急 of International 関心 (PHEIC) four times in the past, によれば The Telegraph.

These were during the last major Ebola 突発/発生 in 2014, the Swine flu 突発/発生 in 2009, a resurgence of Polio in 2014, and the Zika 突発/発生 in South America in 2016.

世界保健機構's 緊急 委員会 must 会を召集する to decide on the 真面目さ of a 病気 突発/発生 and the 脅し it 提起する/ポーズをとるs to other countries before 宣言するing a PHEIC. These are the 出来事/事件s it has みなすd serious enough in the past:

2014 Ebola 突発/発生

Ebola killed at least 11,000 people across the world after it spr ead like wildfire through Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone in 2014, 2015 and 2016. More than 28,000 people were 感染させるd in what was the worst ever 突発/発生 of the 病気.

Zika, a 熱帯の 病気 which can 原因(となる) serious birth defects if it 感染させるs 妊娠している women, was the 支配する of an 突発/発生 in Brazil's 資本/首都, Rio de Janeiro, in 2016. There were 恐れるs that year's オリンピック would have to be cancelled after more than 200 academics wrote to the World Health Organization 警告 about it.

WHAT IS EBOLA AND HOW DEADLY IS IT?

Ebola, a haemorrhagic fever, killed at least 11,000 across the world after it decimated West Africa and spread 速く over the space of two years.

That 疫病/流行性の was 公式に 宣言するd over 支援する in January 2016, when Liberia was 発表するd to be Ebola-解放する/自由な by the 世界保健機構.

The country, 激しく揺するd by 支援する-to-支援する civil wars that ended in 2003, was 攻撃する,衝突する the hardest by the fever, with 40 per cent of the deaths having occurred there.

Sierr a Leone 報告(する)/憶測d the highest number of Ebola 事例/患者s, with nearly of all those 感染させるd having been 居住(者)s of the nation.

WHERE DID IT BEGIN??

An 分析, published in the New England 定期刊行物 of 薬/医学, 設立する the 突発/発生 began in Guinea - which 隣人s Liberia and Sierra Leone.

A team of international 研究員s were able to trace the 疫病/流行性の 支援する to a two-year-old boy in Meliandou - about 400 miles (650km) from the 資本/首都, Conakry.

Emile Ouamouno, known more 一般的に as 患者 無,?may have 契約d the deadly ウイルス by playing with bats in a hollow tree, a 熟考する/考慮する 示唆するd.

It can be transmitted between humans through 血, secretions and other bodily fluids of people - and surfaces - that have been 感染させるd.

IS THERE A TREATMENT??
