大臣s 禁止（する） date-強姦 麻薬

A 麻薬 thought to be used in hundreds of 'date-強姦s' every year is to be banned. 大臣s have decided to make GHB a controlled 実体 - meaning those 所有するing it could be 刑務所，拘置所d for two years.

The tasteless, odourless liquid is slipped into a drink and takes 影響 in just 20 minutes. 犠牲者s are （判決などを）下すd unconscious for up to six hours.

They wake with only 煙霧のかかった memories of what has happened to them, and traces of the 麻薬 disappear quickly from their system, making it difficult to 起訴する 攻撃者s.

The use of date-強姦 麻薬s is the fastest growing 罪，犯罪 against women in Britain. More than 800 事例／患者s have been 報告（する）／憶測d in the past year, and 探偵，刑事s believe the true number is far higher.

GHB - Gamma hydroxybutrate - is used in an 増加するing 割合 of these offences. It costs as little as £5 a 瓶／封じ込める and can be bought 経由で the Internet or through sex shops, where it is marketed as an aphrodisiac and is also known as Blue, Heaven, Liquid Ecstasy or GBH.

At 現在の, its 所有／入手 is not a 犯罪の offence. Police believe that some 攻撃者s are operating in ギャング（団）s. One or two 誘惑する the woman away from her drink, while another slips the 麻薬 into it.

The 危険 has grown to such an extent that earlier this year one London borough, Westminster, 警告するd women not to 受託する drinks from strangers.

In the market town of Banbury, Oxfordshire, up to eight women are thought to have had their drinks spiked within two months this year.

GHB has also 原因（となる）d the deaths of four people who have mixed it with alcohol.

The Home Office now wants to give GHB - which is already 違法な in the U.S. - Class C status, on the 推薦 of the （a）忠告の／（n）警報 会議 on the Misuse of 麻薬s.

The change in the 法律 could come into 軍隊 by the summer.

'In the last few years GHB has become the 麻薬 of choice of those 試みる／企てるing to commit 強姦. 法律制定 that brings this 実体 under some 肉親，親類d of 支配（する）／統制する can only be welcomed.'

There are more than 40 'date-強姦' 麻薬s. The best- known is Rohypnol, tablets of which are called Roofies.
