PIERS MORGAN: A three-match 禁止（する） for this? Now that's ugly

Here's a tricky question for you to digest over the morning cornflakes. What is the worse 罪，犯罪 - snorting a few lines of コカイン or kicking a man hard, and やめる deliberately, in the 長，率いる?

On balance, I'd probably veer に向かって the latter.

The first offence, after all, is a selftitillating, self-害（を与える）ing, rather pitiful pastime that turns you all 'Kate Mossy' - sweating, scowling, swearin g, self-obsessed and oh soooooooooooo boring.

But the only real 犠牲者 is usually the one taking the stuff, if you 割引 the poor Colombian paupers coerced into making it.

Emmanuel Adebayor, for instance, has just received a three-match 禁止（する） for kicking コマドリ 先頭 Persie. I'll ignore the second part of his misdemeanour - absurd and classless though his demented, pitch-length 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金 to the 兵器庫 支持者s was last week. The only real shock to me was how 急速な／放蕩な he ran.

The moaning, gangly toerag never reached even half that 速度(を上げる） during his sulking, lacklustre, preening, AC Milan-flirting 業績／成果s for us last season.

No, I'd rather 焦点（を合わせる） on the more serious part of the 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金.

That kick wasn't an 事故. He looked 負かす／撃墜する, saw 先頭 Persie's 長，率いる and kicked him hard in the 直面する.

Yet he got the same 罰 that you get for running up a few bookings.

Now to my point.

I don't 容赦する what Mutu did. He was stupid to take コカイン and will 悔いる if for the 残り／休憩（する） of his life. But it can hardly be considered 業績／成果-高めるing.

The aforementioned Kate Moss struggles to even walk, let alone talk, when she's 攻撃する，衝突する the marching powde r of an evening, as we saw from the 最近の GQ awards.

By contrast, Adebayor's vicious premeditated 強襲，強姦 on 先頭 Persie could have 原因（となる）d him very serious 傷害.

They have no place in sport, whatever type they are.

But is it really fair that a silly party boy like Adrian Mutu is 存在 追跡（する）d into professional and personal oblivion, while a narcisstic, whining 凶漢 like Emmanuel Adebayor 行方不明になるs just three matches?

特に when, in the real world, Mutu would get a 罰金 for his minor コカイン dabbling and Adebayor would probably get a 刑務所，拘置所 宣告，判決 for his Grievous Bodily 害（を与える） with 意図?

What the hell is going on in sport at the moment?

Just when I didn't think things could get any more repulsive than rugby players using 偽の 血 to cheat, along comes Flavio Briatore to drag the decency 妨げる／法廷，弁護士業 several leagues その上の downwards.

I've been struggling to comprehend the mindset of a man who orders a racing driver to 衝突，墜落 his car, and かもしれない kill himself in the 過程, just so he can cheat his team's way to victory.

It's the 肉親，親類d of thing Hannibal Lecter would do, or Idi Amin. An 行為／法令／行動する of such grotesque monstrosity that it almost 反抗するs belief.

Briatore has always struck me as a 公正に／かなり awful character. Flash, brash, intellectually moribund and an inveterate, shameless show-off.

He chases models, buys ヨットs, wears ludicrously age-不適切な 最高の，を越す Gunstyle sunglasses and leather jackets and 一般に behaves like the worst 肉親，親類d of spoiled, lecherous old rou?.

I bumped into him once in a gym, and he 星／主役にするd at me for several seconds with a やめる stupendously sneering look.

I'm used to that 肉親，親類d of thing, 明白に. But few have done it with such faux imperious grandeur.

I've heard that he does this to a lot of people. Briatore may think he's better than the 残り／休憩（する） of us.

But he's not.

He's turned out to be worse than the worst-ever cheats in the history of sport.

Someone who was 用意が出来ている for his driver, Nelson Piquet Jnr, to 危険 his life in a duplicitous 試みる／企てる to 反対／詐欺 a 勝利，勝つ.

His 辞職, にもかかわらず some pathetic bluster about wanting to 'save the team', was a tacit admission of 犯罪.

So a police 調査 is 必須の and 告発（する），告訴（する）／料金s should follow. And, if 設立する 有罪の in a 法廷，裁判所 of 法律, then Briatore must be punished so 厳しく that nobody ever even thinks of doing what he did again.

P.S: AMID all the sleaze and 暴力／激しさ, there was one moment of 驚くべき／特命の／臨時の 冒険的な genius last week that 解除するd the spirits - Roger Federer's under-the-脚s 発射 in the US Open.

For sheer outrageous audacity and technically brilliant 死刑執行, itwas the most 素晴らしい thing I've seen since Kevin Pietersen 逆転する-swept Muttiah Muralitharan for six.

Federer is like a 瓶／封じ込める of Chateau Latour 1961. As he gets older he gets more 精製するd, sumptuous, bold and magnificent and you start to sense that he'll be the greatest of them all.
