Venus: I'll やめる when Serena goes

Venus Williams 主張するs 退職 is not on the cards, but 収容する／認めるs she will probably やめる when her sister Serena does.

Serena is absent from Wimbledon this year with a 膝 傷害 and has played just four matches since last year's US Open, three of them at the Australian Open in January.

Her 長引かせるd absence and 変化させるd 利益／興味s outside tennis has led to 憶測 she will やめる the game, although the 24-year-old 主張するs she is 決定するd to return.

Asked about how much her own 未来 was linked to Serena's, Venus 認める: "We 港／避難所't talked about it, but it's probably really tied.

"It would be really sad (without her). I don't know. I think I'd have to be my own person 明白に.

"I think I'd like it if we retired together. That would be 冷静な／正味の. But it's not really in the でっちあげる，人を罪に陥れる 権利 now."

Speaking ahead of the defence of her Wimbledon 肩書を与える, which gets under way on Tuesday against compatriot Bethanie Mattek, Williams 追加するd: "I'd love for Serena to be here.

"But as they say, you can't have everything. I've had her here so many years, she's had me."
