In the tatty surroundings of a newspaper office on the 楽園 island of Trinidad, wearing a dishevelled shirt and surrounded by broken 議長，司会を務めるs, Jack Warner is a pale imitation of the man who once led the high life as one of world football’s true 力／強力にする仲買人s.

For three １０年間s, Warner was a 大規模な presence in the 全世界の game, a first-class flier to five-星／主役にする hotels who rubbed shoulders with 大統領，／社長s, 首相s and princes.

‘I failed, I erred and I apologise profusely for that,’ Warner said. ‘But I thought it was Russia’s time to host a World Cup and I have no 悔いる.’

Warner rarely watches football any more, 説: ‘I don’t look at football. I look at cricket. I am a cricket fanatic now.’

Ironically, he will be supporting England when they take on the US in the group 行う／開催する／段階s in Qatar.

‘It doesn’t 事柄 to me who 勝利，勝つs but if you ask me that twice I’ll tell you [I support] England because America has done damag e to me and my family and therefore I am 苦痛d with America so I hope they get knocked out first. But beyond that, I don’t care.’

He 受託するs British fans hate him: ‘Yes, they hate me. But 憎悪 doesn’t last forever. At some point in time they have to come 支援する to reality. When you hate somebody so much it tends to 消費する you and that is what 影響する／感情s you in the end.’

‘I have 絶縁するd myself from 批評 and [from] football. If not I would have been dead already. I won’t watch it and I don’t even want to hear about it. I live deliberately in a 肉親，親類d of cocoon. I have internally migrated, for want of a better 称する，呼ぶ／期間／用語, and therefore these things don’t worry me any more.’

Warner spends his days rising 早期に. He walks daily from 3.30am to 4.30am, with 武装した護衛s, before working at his cluttered desk inside his newspaper offices in a poor part of a town where he （人命などを）奪う，主張するs he was once a 地元の hero.

A person who knows him 井戸／弁護士席 says: ‘He used to live large. Now, he still has a nice house, the same house he’s always lived in, but he’s a sad 人物／姿／数字. If he has money stashed away, which we all think he has, then he’s not using it. Maybe he’s spending it all on lawyers to stop spending the 残り／休憩（する） of his days in 刑務所，拘置所?

‘He’s become something of a pathetic 人物／姿／数字. He used to be so powerful. He is still arrogant. He stood in the 地元の議会の選挙s recently and lost. Here on the islands he is still 尊敬（する）・点d by some people.

‘He was 肉親，親類d to poor people. He tried to portray himself as a コマドリ Hood-type of character. In his defence, he did do good for the very poor.

‘But he was always corrupt, he spent 30 years 存在 corrupt. There are many people who hope he will finally be brought to 司法（官） but he’s escaped it so far so that hope is tempered in reality.’

Warner remains unrepentant about switching his 投票（する） to Russia after 大統領 Vladimir Putin 本人自身でロビーd him ― and 恐らく paid him millions 経由で off-shore 爆撃する companies to ‘buy’ his 投票（する）.

‘In the end when I sat 負かす／撃墜する I realised that England had hosted World Cups before,’ he said, seemingly ignorant to the fact the country has hosted just one, in 1966.

'Russia had never hosted a World Cup and I felt it was Russia’s turn. When I sit 支援する now and 反映する I have no 原因（となる） for grief because I believe honestly I did the 権利 thing.’
