'模範的な' Giggs 勝利，勝つs PFA Player of the Year award

Ryan Giggs was last night 指名するd Professional Footballers' 協会 Player of the Year - the first time he has won the award.

The Manchester 部隊d winger had 選ぶd up the young player's award twice and has now been 投票（する）d for the 最高の，を越す accolade by his fellow professionals に引き続いて an 模範的な season.

Giggs, 35, said: 'It's 権利 up there - with personal accolades it's the best to have as it's 投票（する）d by your fellow players. I've been fortunate to 勝利，勝つ a lot of トロフィーs but this is the big one.'

John McDermott, the former Grimsby player who spent 20 years at the club, was given the 長所 award for his services to the game. ?

"I thought it was one of the lads winding me up, a real shock," he said. "To still be recognised, I was flattered and honoured."
