Wayne Rooney has 明らかにする／漏らすd how he would drink until he 'almost passed out' to escape his struggles at the 頂点（に達する） of his career.
In a new podcast hosted by rugby league legend 略奪する Burrow, the Birmingham boss 認める he was in a 'low place for a few years' after using alcohol as his 対処するing 機械装置 rather than asking for help.
'I've had many different challenges, both on the pitch and off the pitch, and my 解放（する） was alcohol,' said ex-England and Manchester 部隊d captain Rooney when asked how he has dealt with 堅い times in his life.
'When I was in my 早期に 20s, I'd spend a couple of days at home and wouldn't move out of the house and drink almost until I passed out.
'I didn't want to be around people because いつかs you feel embarrassed and いつかs you feel like you've let people 負かす／撃墜する.

'Thankfully now I am not afraid to go and speak to people over some 問題／発行するs which I may have.'
Rooney was speaking to Burrow and his wife Lindsey for the first episode of Seven: 略奪する Burrow, a new seven-part BBC podcast series where the ex-物陰／風下d Rhinos 星／主役にする interviews 冒険的な 広大な／多数の／重要なs.

Explaining how he （機の）カム to support the Rhinos, he said: 'I really started getting into rugby league when I was 17, 18.
'I remember thinking there was no way I was going to support St Helens, Warrington, Wigan because they are all 偽の Scousers!
'I was thinking, "What team am I going to support?" and I remember watching the Rhinos play and I was gripped.
'I knew it was 議論の的になる, playing for Manchester 部隊d and that 競争 with 物陰／風下d in football, but just from watching that first game, I was gripped to them as players and as a team.'

'Best team-mate, I'd probably say Darren Fletcher,' said Rooney. 'My worst team-mate, there are a lot more than you'd probably think! On the pitch, the toughest one was Nani. He was 失望させるing to play with.'
Rooney was 任命するd Birmingham boss last month and has lost three and drawn one of his first four games.
Asked by Burrow if he would rather still be playing, he replied: 'You always wish you were still out there, but I think I've put a little bit too much 負わせる on now, so I don't think I'd be able to get out there at the minute!
'I love 存在 a 経営者／支配人. I love trying to give my knowledge and my experience of playing at the highest level for 20 years.
