Don't encourage Barton to guide us through football's moral maze

WARNING: this column is about to become a Joey Barton-解放する／自由な zone.

After this week, those 麻薬中毒の o n Joey Barton's twittering or in awe of his pronouncements will not find 言及／関連 to them here.

The oxygen of publicity which 料金d his ego and from which he seems to be building a vastly 誇張するd 評判 for 知能 and （疑いを）晴らす thinking will not come from this column.

It won't be a big blow to Barton, I’m sure, as he is （人命などを）奪う，主張するing acolytes at an alarming 速度(を上げる） どこかよそで.

But if he was aware of it there is a good chance he would 答える／応じる with a spiteful swipe because the QPR midfielder is not the grown up philosopher he is 存在 acclaimed as.

Take his 返答 to Dwight Yorke 説 that Newcastle have 改善するd since letting the midfielder go in the summer, for example.

We have already seen flashes of that on the pitch this season, although thankfully no viole nce. The word is he remains arrogant and 意図 on 支配するing 訴訟／進行s on the training ground, too.

Now, Barton is not the devil incarnate. The 圧力 he 適用するd to get （警察などへの）密告，告訴（状） published about the Hillsborough 災害 was laudable.

Barton is 挑発的な, that is 否定できない and helps explain why the oxygen of publicity flows so 自由に for him.

He is 用意が出来ている to be different and that should be 定評のある and 尊敬（する）・点d - just not all the time.

簡単に because Barton is quotable and does not talk in the more familiar platitudes that 支配する the game does not make him a 下落する.

This week he felt bold enough to 非難する the 申し立てられた／疑わしい off-field behaviour of Ryan Giggs and John Terry and when Barton feels he can （人命などを）奪う，主張する the moral high ground a line should be drawn.

The game has enough problems navigating the moral maze on its own without encouraging Barton to try to lead everyone through it.

Assou-Ekotto tips the balance
