The best in the world? For £5.136billion, the 天文学の numbers from the 最新の TV 取引，協定, it would be 平易な to say that about the Barclays 首相 League.

But is it really ‘the best’? At this moment, I have to say no. We 絶対 have the best football 製品 in the 商売／仕事 and that’s why the fight between TV companies to 安全な・保証する the 権利s was ferocious.

On the day the 取引，協定 was 発表するd, Liverpool and Tottenham conjured up a thrilling contest, advertising all that is good about the 首相 League, but, ーに関して／ーの点でs of pure 質, I don’t think we can make the 誇る of 存在 the best.?

With the money that has flooded in, our teams should be carrying all before them in Europe. In the 遠くない将来, some clubs will be in a position where they will not only be able to get into bidding wars with Real Madrid and Barcelona but 現実に trump them.

At the minute, however, we don’t have the strength and depth of other leagues on the continent and the 再開 of both European 競争s next week brings that はっきりと into 焦点（を合わせる）. With the 財政上の 力／強力にする English clubs have, we should be favourites to do a clean sweep.

The Europa League, in particular, is something we should be stamping our presence all over. That tournament gets criticised but I believe it is the real 指示する人（物） of how strong a country’s league is. England’s 業績／成果 in the last 15 years has, 率直に, been awful.

This is not just a 取引，協定 for English football. Some will see it as a 取引，協定 for world football but will our clubs now get kidded when they go looking for players? Only Chelsea have 新採用するd 井戸／弁護士席 rece ntly. Can Liverpool, Tottenham or Manchester 部隊d say the same?

Is it too 平易な for these clubs to say ‘we’ve got the money’ rather than scouting 適切に?

My worry is we will see an influx of dross arriving, players who know they will get lavishly rewarded for not doing much but will 封鎖する the 開発 of young 地元の talent. They are the most worrying 移転s. Clubs cannot 落ちる into a 罠（にかける） of thinking success will come just by throwing money around.?

RODGERS MUST FACE DOWN BOGEYMEN

Some games from childhood last a lifetime and the 1990 FA Cup 半分-final between Liverpool and 水晶 Palace is one that has stayed with me.
