共和国 of Ireland 1-1 Scotland REPORT: Follow all the 活動/戦闘 from the Euro 2016 qualifying 衝突/不一致 at the Aviva Stadium

  • Ireland host Scotland in a 抱擁する 衝突/不一致 in Group D of Euro 2016 qualifying
  • Jonathan Walters 解雇する/砲火/射撃s hosts in 前線 from offside position, but goal stands
  • Shaun Maloney equalises in the first minute of second half?
  • Robbie Keane comes off the (法廷の)裁判 after the death of two cousins
  • Scotland go second in Group D, two points above Ireland in fourth

John O'Shea was left 悪口を言う/悪態ing the いわゆる luck of the Irish as Shaun Maloney's 発射 deflected off his 支援する for a Scotland equaliser that will probably 否定する the 共和国 a place at Euro 2016.

In the closest of all the European 選手権 qualifying groups, it felt like every goal would count 二塁打 on an emotional evening in Dublin that saw Robbie Keane come on as a 代用品,人 just days after the 悲劇の death of two his cousins.

In a 泡ing Aviva Stadium, ツバメ O'Neill's struck first in the Celtic derby when Jonathan Walters deservedly gave them the lead approaching the interval.

Have yourself a breather

That was pretty breathless, wasn't it? Not much 質 from either 味方する, but so much passion and かかわり合い on 陳列する,発揮する.

Germany and Northern Ireland are の中で the teams kicking off in just over half an hour as this Saturday of international football rolls on, but I'm going to take a break.

If you still need your 直す/買収する,八百長をする of football, Sportsmail's live ニュース報道 of the Copa America continues tonight with Argentina's first game of the tournament - Cristiano Ronaldo 得点する/非難する/20d a hat-trick earlier, so you'd think Lionel Messi might be out to 証明する a point. That's how it usually 作品.

For now, though, I leave you with a link to Joe Bernstein's match 報告(する)/憶測. Have a very good evening!

19:00
What does it all mean?

So, where does that result leave both 味方するs?

井戸/弁護士席, Scotland are, for now at least, up to second place in Group D - but I think we can assume that Germany will squeak past Gibraltar later this evening.

Ireland, with Germany and Poland still to play, have to (不足などを)補う two points on Scotland in the final four games to have a chance of reaching フラン.

A 堅い ask.

18:54
十分な time: Ireland 1-1 Scotland

失望 for Ireland, but a very, very big point for Scotland. Hard to say they didn't deserve it. Ireland were the more 肯定的な 味方する, but they didn't create much against a really dogged Scottish defence.

18:54
All over?

Twice Ireland 開始する,打ち上げる dangerous balls into the box - both times they 勝利,勝つ the first header, through Walters and then McClean, but both times Scotland (疑いを)晴らす.

I think that's going to be it. A 抱擁する 防御の 成果/努力 from Gordon Strachan's men.

18:52
Timewasting?

Naismith 取って代わるd by Berra - that took almost a minute, which should get 追加するd on later.

Time running out, and Scotland 長,率いるing に向かって a very big point.

18:51
Into 停止s...

Another devilishly good ball into the box from Brady - he's been Ireland's best player in this second half - and another good 防御の header from Mulgrew.

Three minutes on the board. Is that enough time?

18:49
88 mins: Tempers ゆらめくing

This is 熟達した from Scotland - they know Ireland need to 勝利,勝つ, so they just 持つ/拘留する the ball and wait for their hosts to get impatient.

結局 that leads to a dangerous cross, 井戸/弁護士席 defended by Brady.

As Ireland break there's a bit of nonsense between Naismith and McClean. Both men 押し進める, 押す and put their 長,率いるs in. Both are 調書をとる/予約するd. Sensible from the 審判(をする), though he could have shown either a red.

18:46
86 mins: Final few minutes

Long ball 今後, Shane Long flick, Robbie Keane bursting の上に it... but the defender gets there first. Scottish hearts in mouths, that had all sorts of narrative about it!

18:45
82 mins: 始める,決める piece menace

As we approach the final minutes, it feels like a 始める,決める piece is Ireland's best chance. First Robbie Brady 開始する,打ち上げるs a 解放する/自由な kick into the box - beautiful 配達/演説/出産 - and it 勝利,勝つs his 味方する a corner.

From that, James McClean goes の近くに, and Ireland have another. Finally Scotland get it away, but those balls into the box have been more 脅すing than anything the hosts have created from open play.

Scott Brown is 取って代わるd by James McCarthur for Scotland.

18:42
80 mins: Friendly 解雇する/砲火/射撃

What a chance for Scotland to 勝利,勝つ this! From a corner Steven Fletcher 勝利,勝つs a knock-負かす/撃墜する and 落ちるs to the ground. The ball comes to Steven Naismith, but his 発射 from six yards 粉砕するs into the 傾向がある Sunderland man.

That probably should have been the end for Ireland. But they are still alive in this group.

18:40
79 mins: Long few minutes?

You can almost feel how much Robbie Keane wants this - he is everywhere. It's James McClean's introduction that has made more of an 衝撃 tactically, but the 入り口 of their 主要な man seems to have 解除するd Ireland mentally.

Still, the number of (疑いを)晴らす-削減(する) chances has been 限られた/立憲的な, and Scotland will be pleased with that.

Here comes the final change, as Shane Long 取って代わるs the hard-working Daryl Murphy, who has been excellent for me, but has also 行方不明になるd Ireland's best chance so far...

18:37
75 mins; Keane gets a 発射 away

Keane looks 決定するd to find that 勝利者. He 選ぶs the ball up on the 権利 側面に位置するs, 新たな展開s and turns inside, and 抑えるのをやめるs a stinging strike with his left foot.

It's straight at Marshall, and sticks in his midriff rather like those old Subbuteo keepers used to save the ball with a magnet! Powerful stuff, in more ways than one.

18:35
Sportsmail's Joe Bernstein at the Aviva Stadium

James McClean's arrival as sub was noisily 迎える/歓迎するd by Ireland fans. But the ovation of Robbie Keane as he just enters the field was another level of 容積/容量 altogether.
After the week he's had, Keane can't surely save Ireland again, can he?

18:35
Here comes Keane

Aside from the goal, this is the loudest the Aviva has been today, as Robbie Keane 取って代わるs Wes Hoolahan. What a story it would be if Keane, after such a terrible week, were to 得点する/非難する/20 the 勝利者.

18:33
72 mins: Murphy showing 成果/努力

I really can't 明言する/公表する just how much energy and enthusiasm Daryl Murphy has shown. He 勝利,勝つs a corner by bursting 負かす/撃墜する the left and putting in a cross, then a moment later throws himself at a difficult header, which goes over.

He's about to get a new partner up there...

18:32
70 mins: McClean to save the day?

McClean's introduction has given Ireland a bit more impetus. He earns a corner, and on comes the 圧力. Charlie Mulgrew 長,率いるs a Brady cross away for another, but 結局 Marshall can gather and Scotland (疑いを)晴らす.

Better, though from Ireland. Is the 勢い changing? Our Scottish 長,指導者 sports writer thinks so...

18:28
On comes McClean

Ireland's turn to introduce a 飛行機で行くing winger to try and change the game. Whelan, a walking red card today, is 取って代わるd, with James McClean coming on.

18:26
64 mins: Clawed away

What a save, Shay Given. Anya, yet again, makes 進歩 負かす/撃墜する the 権利, his cross deflects off Seamus Coleman and looked like it was 宙返り飛行ing over the keeper, but he scoops it away. Unorthodox, but 効果的な.

18:26
Around the continent

どこかよそで in this group, Poland have gone ahead, so they are now (疑いを)晴らす at the 最高の,を越す of the group with Germany to play later.

In Armenia, Cristiano Ronaldo has a hattrick as Portugal have come from behind to lead 3-1.

18:24
63 mins: 脱退/分離

Brilliant again from Anya. He turns a man on the half-way line, plays it inside for Steven Naismith and 始める,決めるs off at a sprint to keep the over-攻撃する,衝突する return in play and 勝利,勝つ a corner.

It's Ireland who look the more likely to 得点する/非難する/20 from that 始める,決める piece though, as they 勝利,勝つ the ball and break with six men, but a superb challenge stops the 反対する. Wes Hoolahan 手配中の,お尋ね者 a 解放する/自由な kick, but it was very clean from Morrison.

18:21
祝賀 time?

Remember, this would be a very good result for Scotland, keeping them two points (疑いを)晴らす of their hosts with four games to play.

A long way to go yet, both today and in the group, but a draw certainly 控訴s the 訪問者s.

Shaun Maloney of Scotland is 襲う by team mates after 得点する/非難する/20ing
18:19
59 mins: Getting closer

Daryl Murphy continues to get into good positions, but he can't やめる find the finishing touch. The Ipswich 今後 bursts between two Scottish defenders, but loses his balance and his 発射 has no 力/強力にする.

Jeff Hendrick is the 最新の Irish player fortunate to 避ける a card, when he is penalised for 主要な with an arm.

18:17
57 mins: Silly O'Shea

John O'Shea, you have to be a bit cleverer than that. A long punt 今後, and he should eat those up against a player the size of Steven Naismith.

But he 押し進めるs the Everton man, やめる blatantly, and 手渡すs Scotland another chance, with a 解放する/自由な kick 25 yards out.

Ireland get away with it, because the strike from Charlie Mulgrew was high, high over the 妨げる/法廷,弁護士業, but still, silly boy.

18:16
55 mins: 衝撃

I don't want to 労働 the point, but Ireland aren't making much happen on the pitch with their 所有/入手, so I'll say it again.

Ikechi Anya's introduction - though perhaps 45 minutes too late - was a masterstroke

18:13
52 mins: Hotting up

Flower of Scotland (犯罪の)一味s 一連の会議、交渉/完成する the Aviva, and this game has 点火(する)d. Marc Wilson puts in a 汚い challenge on Steven Fletcher, and really should have been 調書をとる/予約するd for that. I thought the 公式の/役人 had put his 手渡す in his pocket, but he decides against bringing out a card.

So much credit to Gordon Strachan - he made the change, and Ikechi Anya has been 伴う/関わるd in everything so far in this half.

Again, though, it's Shaun Maloney who makes it happen for Scotland.

18:10
Sportsmail's Joe Bernstein at the Aviva Stadium

More proper football in the first couple of minutes of the second half than we had in the first. 広大な/多数の/重要な build-up play en 大勝する to Maloney's deflected equaliser, and then Murphy unlucky not to put Ireland 2-1 ahead

18:10
48 mins: 広大な/多数の/重要な save

It's all happening here. David Marshall with a brilliant stop to 否定する Daryl Murphy, who 発射 hard and low after 存在 played in 負かす/撃墜する the left 手渡す channel.

Jonathan Walters follows up - as ever - but his driven cross-発射 is deflected behind.

18:06
GOAL! Ireland 1-1 Scotland (Maloney 46)

What an 衝撃! Make a change at the break, and it brings a goal. Shaun Maloney 交流s passes with Anya and curls the ball に向かって goal.

It takes a big deflection off John O'Shea and nestles in the corner. What a start to the second half!

18:05
On comes Anya

A change at the break, Ikechi Anya comes on for Matt Ritchie. Will that change anything?

18:05
Contrast

ツバメ O'Neill's 決定/判定勝ち(する) to go with Daryl Murphy, raised a few eyebrows, but it has really paid off so far.

The striker has been 伴う/関わるd inside the box, just where you want him to be. Contrast that to Steven Fletcher at the other end, who has been everywhere but.

The oldest new joke...

Twitter is, as you might 推定する/予想する, awash with jokes about the 補償(金) Scotland should be 予定.

If you've forgotten, Ireland were paid €5million - 明らかに - after 存在 否定するd a place at the 2010 World Cup by a Thierry Henry handball.

Given that goal was not just offside, but offside at two 行う/開催する/段階s, should it be 10?

17:51
Half time: Ireland 1-0 Scotland

The half time whistle goes. Not the best 質 football match you'll ever see, but plenty of heart and soul went into that 45 minutes.

This is the moment that 事柄s so far, Jonathan Walters, offside when his strike partner 長,率いるd at goal, taps in the 回復する.

Jonathan Walters 反応するs quickest after David Marshall had saved Daryl Murphy's header
The Stoke 今後 pokes home to put the home 味方する ahead
17:48
46 mins: Have a break...

Just as we go into two minutes of 停止 time - most of which is a result of a 長,率いる 傷害 to Russell ツバメ - we have another break, this time for Jeff Hendrick.

The Derby man is ok though, and we're 支援する 進行中で soon enough.

17:47
45 mins: 始める,決める piece danger

Those Robbie Brady corners are really 原因(となる)ing problems. The 最新の one bounces six yards out and spins out for a goalkick, but only after 誘発するing 完全にする panic in the Scottish defence. Gordon Strachan will be desperate for half time to sort it out.

17:44
Sportsmail's Joe Bernstein at the Aviva Stadium

Goal credited to Walters but what a 広大な/多数の/重要な 補助装置 from Daryl Murphy. The Ipswich striker did so 井戸/弁護士席 to find space in a box and 工場/植物 a header than 回復するd off Marshall into the Stoke City player's path

DUBJon Walters of 共和国 of Ireland celebrates 得点する/非難する/20ing the 開始 goal
17:43
40 mins: All Ireland

The hosts almost 得る,とらえる another, as Wes Hoolahan leads a 反対する-attack. At one point the hosts had a three on three, but once the ball goes to James McCarthy on the 辛勝する/優位 of the box the move loses its impetus.

Incidentally, that Irish corner that led to the goal (機の)カム from a 宙返り飛行ing Daryl Murphy header which was tipped over the 妨げる/法廷,弁護士業. I don't want to stoke the 解雇する/砲火/射撃, but Murphy was also offside when he 長,率いるd that...

17:40
GOAL! Ireland 1-0 Scotland (Walters 38)

As 推定する/予想するd, it's come from a 始める,決める piece - and it should have been flagged offside - but Jonathan Walters has put the 共和国 of Ireland ahead.

Daryl Murphy 会合,会うs a corner and 長,率いるs at goal - unmarked - from の近くに 範囲. David Marshall did very 井戸/弁護士席 to keep it out, but lurking just two yards out, Walters pokes home. He was ahead of the play when the first header (機の)カム, so should have been flagged, but it wasn't given.

17:38
35 mins: A 欠如(する) of 質

Still very little to speak of ーに関して/ーの点でs of goalmouth 活動/戦闘. Scotland enjoying more of the ball, but doing next to nothing of 公式文書,認める with it.

Neither Maloney nor Hoolahan, my two creative players to watch, have been able to get on the ball nearly enough today.

17:36
Sportsmail's Joe Bernstein at the Aviva Stadium

We have an unmelodramatic Italian in the house. 審判(をする) Nicola Rizzoli is the coolest 顧客 on the pitch, even when both 始める,決めるs of players surrounded him に引き続いて a 汚い challenge by James McCarthy on Russell ツバメ.

McCarthy caught ツバメ on the nose with the 最高の,を越す of his 肘 and has become the second player in the 調書をとる/予約する.

17:35
どこかよそで...

While neither 味方する will be 全く happy with this first 33 minutes, they'll be glad to know that Poland are still 存在 held by Georgia. If the Georgians could 持つ/拘留する on for a point, that would be 本気で good news for these two.

17:33
29 mins: Flashpoint

James McCarthy goes into the 調書をとる/予約する for a 汚い looking 衝突/不一致 with Russell ツバメ. The midfielder jumps for a header 主要な with his 肘.

I wouldn't 示唆する it was 審議する/熟考する, but ツバメ needs some 治療. Players from both 味方する (人が)群がる the 審判(をする), but, to his credit, the 公式の/役人 stays 静める. Just a yellow.

17:31
28 mins: Walters on the 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金

Jonathan Walters is really 原因(となる)ing some trouble 負かす/撃墜する the 権利 手渡す 味方する. Twice in a 事柄 of moments he gets a cross away - the first is too 深い and (疑いを)晴らすd (経由で a 完全に absurd handball 控訴,上告), the second 勝利,勝つs Ireland a corner. He's certainly a handful.

Unfortunately for both 味方するs, there isn't much end 製品 to go with all the very 約束ing hustle and bustle.

17:29
Sportsmail's Joe Bernstein at the Aviva Stadium

Everton's Seamus Coleman likes to attack from 権利-支援する and he has just had an earful from his 船長/主将 John O'Shea, 推定では for not 裁判官ing when is the 訂正する time to gallop 今後.

17:28
25 mins: No half 対策!

No 囚人s are 存在 taken out there. Robbie Brady, after winning a 取り組む, leaps for a header, and more or いっそう少なく flattens Matt Ritchie.

Again, the 審判(をする) 認めるs the foul but lets play go one. That was わずかに 残虐な!

Ireland are buzzing around when they don't have 所有/入手, so eager to 勝利,勝つ it 支援する.

17:25
Sportsmail's Joe Bernstein at the Aviva Stadium

The 実験 to start with Derby 郡's Jeff Hendrick has been a big success for ツバメ O'Neill so far.

Hendrick is everywhere, 申し込む/申し出ing 防御の 保護 in the middle of the park one minute, then bursting 負かす/撃墜する the 権利 to create danger the next. Energy to 燃やす and he's unsettling Scotland.

17:25
22 mins: Brady into the bunch

You fancy Ireland from 始める,決める pieces today, and if Robbie Brady can continue to 配達する like that they have a real chance. His corner is (疑いを)晴らすd, but it was into a perfect area, really 招待するing, without giving the goalkeeper a chance to come and (人命などを)奪う,主張する.

Whelan, who is having a strange game so far, plays a pretty terrible pass straight out of play to end that (一定の)期間 of 圧力.

17:23
19 mins: Whelan 調書をとる/予約するd

With only 20 minutes played, you don't want your combative midfielder walking a tight-rope. But Glenn Whelan puts in a silly 取り組む on Steven Fletcher, and there's no 選択 but to 調書をとる/予約する him. Silly boy.

The resulting 解放する/自由な kick, from a dangerous area, is too long, and drifts out for a goal kick.

17:21
17 mins: 支援する-pass?

A little bit of upset around the Aviva (and from the two Irishmen in Mail HQ!) as Matt Richie コースを変えるs a dangerous cross into the 手渡すs of his own keeper.

No 意図 there, he had no idea where he was kicking it, so a 訂正する call - not a 支援する pass.

17:18
15 mins: Slowing 負かす/撃墜する

Perhaps unsurprisingly, given the start, it has all 緩和するd off a bit here. Both 味方するs look happy to pass the ball around at the 支援する for a bit.

味方する to 味方する, rather than too many vertical passes at the moment. 結局 Glenn Whelan 粉砕するs a 発射 over from 30 yards. Miles over.

17:15
Sportsmail's Joe Bernstein at the Aviva Stadium

Ireland (機の)カム 飛行機で行くing out the 罠(にかける)s but a 広大な/多数の/重要な dig by Steven Fletcher tipped over by Shay Given reminded the home fans that Gordon Strachan's 味方する have 質 in their 階級s. This match 約束s to be as の近くに as most people 予報するd.

17:15
12 mins: Let it flow, let if flow, let it flow

A couple of meaty Irish challenges coming in as Scotland put together their first bit of meaningful 所有/入手.

The 訪問者s moved the ball nicely, and twice the 審判(をする) had to play advantage に引き続いて some pretty hefty 取り組むs.

In the end Steven Naismith, bursting into the box, just can't get to the ball. 約束ing 調印するs though.

Seamus Coleman of 共和国 of Ireland takes on James Morrison
17:13
9 mins: Fletcher gets a 発射 off

A first chance for Shaun Maloney to get on the ball in a dangerous position, and it produces the first chance.

The midfielder 料金d Steven Fletcher, who needs no 招待 to shoot. Shay Given tips the 発射, which was probably going over anyway, behind for a corner.

That 始める,決める piece leads to another, but 結局 Ireland get a goal kick. Better from Scotland.

17:10
7 mins: Strong start

Scotland just look to lower the 気温 with a bit of 所有/入手, but as soon as ツバメ O'Neill's 味方する get the ball 支援する they 注ぐ 今後.

Hoolahan and Coleman 連合させる nicely 負かす/撃墜する the 権利, where the home 味方する seem to be 焦点(を合わせる)ing their attacking play, but the Everton 十分な 支援する's cross is poor.

17:08
5 mins: End to end

A first attack from Scotland, on the 反対する, ends when Steven Naismith scuffs a 発射 wide from 25 yards.

Craig Forsyth then makes a little error, and almost 許すs Murphy in, but 回復するs at the expense of a corner. David Marshall (人命などを)奪う,主張するs confidently, but it's been a 100mph start.

17:06
4 mins: Ireland on 最高の,を越す

No 疑問 about the 早期に pattern of play, Ireland are all over this so far!

Jonathan Walters gets in 負かす/撃墜する both 側面に位置するs, but neither cross is good enough - really 企業ing play from the 今後 though.

And if you want a taste for how 肯定的な Ireland have started, Seamus Coleman just put in a challenge on the 辛勝する/優位 of the Scotland box. 本気で attacking.

17:05
Sportsmail's Joe Bernstein at the Aviva Stadium

A very moving moment as the whole of the stadium 支払う/賃金s 尊敬の印 to Robbie Keane's two cousins with a moment's 賞賛.

Keane looked の近くに to 涙/ほころびs as he joined in, and so did Irish captain John O'Shea. The football is now 進行中で and you can't believe the passion in Dublin.

17:04
1 mins: Nervy start

Not what you need at the beginning of a big game! Russell ツバメ almost gifts Daryl Murphy the ball through on goal, but Charlie Mulgrew just about covers. Almost a nightmare start for the 訪問者s.

Ireland playing really 前向きに/確かに, and Wes Hoolahan almost gets on the ball on the 辛勝する/優位 of the box. That's a really encouraging 味方する for the home 味方する.

17:02
Here we go!

Scotland, playing in white, get us 進行中で. A 抱擁する 90 minutes ahead!

17:01
Almost ready...

Pleasantries are over. We could not be more ready. The stadium is buzzing, with the Tartan Army in 十分な 発言する/表明する and the home fans 供給するing a sea of green.

Just a moment of 尊敬(する)・点 for a number of people connected to Irish football who have died recently, 含むing Robbie Keane's two cousins.

Cries of 'Keano' (犯罪の)一味 out around the Aviva - the man himself looks remarkably composed.

16:58
管理の 戦う/戦い

You've probably watched enough football to know what the 国家の 国家s sound like, so I won't bore you by 述べるing them in 詳細(に述べる) - apart from to について言及する that there is a good 取引,協定 of Scottish support inside the Aviva today.

What I will bring your attention to, is that, as I'm sure you know, this game has another sub-陰謀(を企てる) that I 港/避難所't yet touched on - it is the 戦う/戦い of the former Celtic 経営者/支配人s.

Both ツバメ O'Neill and Gordon Strachan had 重要な success at the Glasgow club, with the Scotland 経営者/支配人 後継するing the Ireland one. But who will come out on 最高の,を越す today?

16:55
Sportsmail's Joe Bernstein at the Aviva stadium

As you'd 推定する/予想する, the noise is ear-splitting inside The Aviva Stadium for a Celtic derby. The 大統領 of Ireland, Michael D Higgins, is here and 存在 introduced to both teams.

16:53
Here come the teams!

Still eight minutes until kick off, but with 国家s and introductions to come, the players are already out.

Pulses are rising, 大統領,/社長s are waiting... we aren't far away now!

16:51
Keane and ready

If there's one man who loves a big game, it's 共和国 of Ireland assistant 経営者/支配人 Roy Keane.

The former Manchester 部隊d midfielder, with socks pulled up all the way, has been glowering around the pitch in that way only he can, taking the warm-up.

He looks 解雇する/砲火/射撃d up!

16:49
Sportsmail's Joe Bernstein at the Aviva Stadium

共和国 of Ireland legend 示す Lawrenson has just been interviewed on the big 審査する and been his usual sardonic self.

Referring to ツバメ O'Neill's team 選択, Lawro said: 'Me and Paul McGrath have got four different 形式s written upstairs, we can't work it out. Maybe that is why ツバメ has done it, Gordon won't know the 形式 either.'

Lawrenson is delighted Norwich's Wes Hoolahan is getting a rare start. 'He is the best passer we've got and can see a pass,' he said.

16:45
Men to watch

In the Irish 味方する, there is obvious 質 all around - Seamus Coleman and Robbie Brady are 質, John O'Shea will organise the defence, and Jonathan Walters is a proven 首相 League player up 前線.

So it's in between that they need to 証明する themselves, and Wes Hoolahan could 井戸/弁護士席 be the 重要な to that. The diminutive midfielder can be a real 星/主役にする, as he has shown for Norwich this season, 運動ing them to 昇進/宣伝, but he can have the 傾向 to go 行方不明の.

He needs to turn up, and be at his best, for Ireland to be at their best. If he does, 推定する/予想する chances to flow.

16:42
Men to watch

Who are the 重要な men today? 井戸/弁護士席, I'll have you know I had a lovely bit 用意が出来ている on Ikechi Anya for Scotland, but he's on the (法廷の)裁判, so I've gone for Shaun Maloney for the 訪問者s.

He has been a big part of Scotland's 復活 under Gordon Strachan, and the major 推論する/理由 they are sitting pretty in third place in the group. If he plays 井戸/弁護士席 he can make this 味方する tick - not to について言及する the goals he 与える/捧げるs...

16:38
The death of football?

Two strong teams, a bit of needle, some 競争, and a 抱擁する 量 at 火刑/賭ける. You know what this game needs? Friendship scarves!

Honestly, is there anything worse than this in modern football? I'd put it marginally ahead of 飛び込み and Marouane Chamakh's hair. Other suggestions always welcome.

16:36
Sportsmail's Joe Bernstein at the Aviva Stadium

There won't be a 乾燥した,日照りの 注目する,もくろむ in Dublin if Robbie Keane comes off the (法廷の)裁判 this afternoon to 逮捕する his 記録,記録的な/記録する 66th goal for the 共和国 of Ireland today.

Keane has been 嘆く/悼むing the 悲劇の deaths of two of his cousins, Alan and Stephen Harris, who were 打ち勝つ by poisonous ガス/煙s this week whilst working as plumbers on a 汚水 麻薬を吸う.

Keane has 宣言するd himself 利用できる and ツバメ O'Neill has 指名するd him as a 代用品,人.

16:32
It's a must-勝利,勝つ, says O'Neill

ツバメ O'Neill has been speaking before the game about his team and their chances, and here is what he had to say:

'Daryl Murphy's had a really 広大な/多数の/重要な season for Ipswich, he's a real handful. He deserves his chance today.

'Must 勝利,勝つ? I think we really need to 勝利,勝つ the game to keep ourselves in 論争. IF the 味方するs come out level it's advantage scotland so we're going to try and 勝利,勝つ the game.

'There's going to be a lot of 戦う/戦いs, but midfield in particular. We think we're 有能な of 取引,協定ing with that today.'

What's at 火刑/賭ける - Scotland

For Scotland, the 圧力 is a little いっそう少なく 厳しい. A 勝利,勝つ today would open up that lovely gap over their 対抗者s, but a 敗北・負かす would only see them a point behind the 共和国, with four games to play.

A first major tournament since 1998 would be 堅固に on the horizon if they could snatch three points here...

What's at 火刑/賭ける - Ireland

In many ways this game is more important for the hosts than Scotland.

Having been at the last Euros in 2012, they are the closest of the teams from these islands to 行方不明の out this time around. むちの跡s more or いっそう少なく 調書をとる/予約するd their place in フラン last night, England are all but there, while even Northern Ireland are in a 命令(する)ing position.

The 共和国, on the other 手渡す, would be in real trouble if they were to lose today, in all 見込み slipping five points off the play-off 位置/汚点/見つけ出す.

It's a must-勝利,勝つ.

Sportsmail's Joe Bernstein at the Aviva Stadium

There is a 本物の surprise in the line-ups 指名するd by ツバメ O'Neill and Gordon Strachan. Daryl Murphy of Ipswich Town will start up 前線 instead of Shane Long, a proven 首相 League striker with West Brom, 船体 and Southampton, but who hasn't always 頂点(に達する)d for his country.

Strachan's 決定/判定勝ち(する) not to start Ikechi Anya has also raised eyebrows, he has been one of Scotland's best players in the Euro 2016 (選挙などの)運動をする so far.

But I've been chatting to Pat Nevin, a more-than-useful wide player for Scotland in his day, and he thinks Strachan believes Anya may be better utlised to 存在 an 衝撃 player in the last 20 minutes when Ireland are tiring.

Ikechi Anya (centre) has been left out, but could be useful later on

Ireland team news

Let's start with the Irish team news, and it isn't good for ツバメ O'Neill.

Robbie Keane, who was a 疑問 に引き続いて the death of two cousins this week, is not going to play, and neither is Aiden McGeady, who 行方不明になるs out with a hamstring 傷害. Two 抱擁する blows.

Ireland: Given, Coleman, Brady, Wilson, O'Shea, McCarthy, Whelan, Hendrick, Hoolahan, Walters, Murphy

Are you ready?

A 地元の 競争. Two 始める,決めるs of expectant fans. A 割れ目ing goal last time they met.

This game would be tasty even if there wasn't anything riding on it.

Throw in a 抱擁する step に向かって a major tournament, and this evening's match is one of epic 割合s...
