吊りくさび Hamilton is the most 自然に gifted driver... but he needs to be loved by Mercedes, says John Watson

  • Hamilton decided to 拒絶する Mercedes' 嘆願 to let Nico Rosberg to pass him
  • Mercedes must find a way of keeping both Hamilton and Rosberg happy
  • Hamilton will 改善する if he gets some proper 指導/手引, says Watson

John Watson competed in 152 決まり文句/製法 One races over 10 years. He won five times, 含むing the 1981 British Grand Prix for McLaren, and 得点する/非難する/20d 169 career points. After leaving the sport in 1985, Watson has (1)偽造する/(2)徐々に進むd a successful マスコミ career, and today he 令状s for MailOnline.

F ollowing the 落ちる-out from the Hungarian Grand Prix, Watson dissects the 状況/情勢 at Mercedes に引き続いて 吊りくさび Hamilton’s team orders 無視する,冷たく断わる.

?

Mercedes were in the worst sort of position ahead of Sunday’s Hungarian Grand Prix, with one driver in Nico Rosberg starting from 有利な立場(位置) and their other driver, 吊りくさび Hamilton, beginning the race from the 炭坑,オーケストラ席 小道/航路.?

When both drivers are at the 前線 of the grid, it is a 比較して straightforward 状況/情勢. But when you have a different シナリオ as they had in Germany with Hamilton at the 支援する after his qualifying 衝突,墜落 or in Hungary, に引き続いて his 解雇する/砲火/射撃, they are いっそう少なく adept at 取引,協定ing with the more コンビナート/複合体 陰謀(を企てる)s.

Niki Lauda, Toto Wolff and 米,稲 Lowe remind me of The Three Stooges. You have got Lauda, sitting in the garage, like Alfred Neubauer, the 伝説の Mercedes team 経営者/支配人 of the 1950s. The only problem 存在 is that Lauda isn’t the team boss.

Then you have Wolff who is oilier than the Torrey Canyon, and 米,稲 Lowe who is a 専門家技術者. His speciality is 工学. It is not making those big team 決定/判定勝ち(する)s, and he is the one I feel sorry for.

Lauda has come out and said Hamilton was 権利 to move over for Rosberg and this is part of the problem.

The 底(に届く) line is, whoever was the person who chose to put these three people in 告発(する),告訴(する)/料金 has made a major error of 裁判/判断. I 言及する 支援する to the one man who should be cont rolling all of this, and that is Ross Brawn.

Mercedes-Benz brought in Lauda, Lowe and Wolff but they 許すd the person who could have managed this 状況/情勢 to leave the team.

In 2012, Mercedes panicked because of poor results and 内部の 圧力s and what they 申し込む/申し出d Brawn was a 職業 he didn’t want to continue in. He stood 支援する from it and Mercedes brought in The Three Stooges.

Sunday’s race was there to be won. Red Bull and Daniel Ricciardo did an incredible 職業, but they showed up the 絶対の ineptness of the 管理/経営 team at Mercedes-Benz. Finishing only 3rd and 4th with what they had was 率直に very poor.

Admittedly, the 状況/情勢 was a 複雑にするd one. They had one 戦略 for Rosberg and a different one for Hamilton, and the inclement 天候 and (軍隊などの)展開,配備 of the Safety Car threw up a host of variables, but neither Lauda, Wolff or Lowe are 有能な of rationalising or thinking on their feet.

In my opinion, 合意 team 管理/経営 does not work. Teams 利益 from one team 主要な/長/主犯 based on years of experience, and who is the guy that has all of that? Brawn.

Mercedes can talk and talk about how they will review their team orders, but it doesn’t 事柄 what they say or choose to do. It comes 負かす/撃墜する to their ability to を取り引きする any, and every occasion that might arise on the day.

In Hungary they did the best they could, but they failed.

With Hamilton, they have a driver who is psychologically 壊れやすい. Then they have another guy, in Rosberg, who is a more 完全にする and 一連の会議、交渉/完成するd person.

Hamilton is the most 自然に gifted driver out there - he isn’t the best driver, Fernando Alonso is - but ーに関して/ーの点でs of his person, he is an incomplete and immature man and he needs to be babied and loved.?

The 共謀 theories are 絶対 getting to him because he is beginning to believe that there is some sort of 共謀, which does not 存在する but in his own mind.

ーに関して/ーの点でs of 業績/成果 and 速度(を上げる), Hamilton should 勝利,勝つ the world 選手権, but it isn’t just about that, it is about winning the most points and in Rosberg you have got a very smart, clever guy who is a million miles ahead of Hamilton in those areas. He is infinitely smarter and smart 勝利,勝つs 決まり文句/製法 One 肩書を与えるs.

He also 受託するs and 認めるs that Hamilton in a one-on-one 状況/情勢 is going to (警官の)巡回区域,受持ち区域 him, but there is more to it than t hat.

Rosberg is using his strengths 効果的に and using that as the way to (警官の)巡回区域,受持ち区域 Hamilton 反して the Briton has only got one way of (警官の)巡回区域,受持ち区域ing his team-mate and that is sheer 速度(を上げる).

Psychologically he can’t (警官の)巡回区域,受持ち区域 him, and there are undoubtedly a lot of mind games going on.

If I could advise Hamilton, I would tell him to 捨てる his 助言者s because they are doing him no favours.

賞賛: John Watson is a keen admirer of Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg (left)

He needs, as his father Anthony use to 供給する, some proper 指導/手引. Since he was 解放(する)d from the shackles of McLaren, I feel he is over-補償するing in his own personal life.

He needs a lower threshold of lifestyle than he 現在/一般に has, but I am not 19 管理/経営. They aren’t a モーター racing 管理/経営 team, they are a showbiz 管理/経営 team and he needs somebody there to support him psychologically and to 焦点(を合わせる) on the elements that are important in his career; when the going gets 堅い, you have to 焦点(を合わせる).

Of course it is not his fault that he 苦しむd mechanical 問題/発行するs in Austrailia, Canada, Germany and in Hungary. He is a winning machine and せねばならない be the world 支持する/優勝者 this year. but there is something that is skewing it.

I 尊敬(する)・点 and admire the way Rosberg goes about his personal life and his racing because he does it in the manner I 同意する with.

He got married last month, but it was a 私的な 事件/事情/状勢 with family and の近くに friends. Indeed there were no glossy magazines there.

If I was advising Hamilton, I would tell him to stop going 負かす/撃墜する the 大勝する he is appearing to go 負かす/撃墜する and 焦点(を合わせる) on his ability and his strengths.

The example his team-mate is giving him is the example that he should be に引き続いて.
