When you think of the classic grand prix 跡をつけるs 現在/一般に on the F1 calendar,?すぐに?the 指名するs Monaco, Silverstone, Spa and Monza spring to mind for many fans.

However, should Interlagos be axed you could 推定する/予想する a 類似の 返答, as the Brazilian Grand Prix at Sao Paulo has in 最近の?years arguably produced the most excitement on a 一貫した basis compared to any other 跡をつける on the calendar.

There's been two eras of F1 racing at Interlagos. The current track -  largely unchanged since its return in 1990 - is clearly visible but around the outside you can also still make out the old parts of the circuit which ran around the lake you can see to the left of the picture in this aerial shot from 1997. Returning to Brazil as world 支持する/優勝者, Fittipaldi would go on to 勝利,勝つ his home race as he 試みる/企てるs to get past Ferrari's Jacky Ickx who would go on to finish fifth a (競技場の)トラック一周 負かす/撃墜する in 前線 of a big (人が)群がる in Sao Paulo. Fittipaldi won in 1974 too before another Sao Paulo local in Carlos Pace triumphed a year later (above). Here Pace celebrates his maiden grand prix win which would turn out to also be his final one after tragically dying in a light aircraft accident in 1977. Although the circuit is still known as Interlagos, it's official name was changed to Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace, as a tribute following his death
