Valtteri Bottas 勝利，勝つs the 部隊d 明言する／公表するs Graand Prix from 吊りくさび Hamilton and Max Verstappen.

He may not have won, but that was a typical brilliant 運動 from Hamilton. 心にいだく these days. 吊りくさび may have a 広大な／多数の／重要な car but there is no one who can match his ability behind it. Enjoy it while you can. He is 十分な value for six world 肩書を与えるs.

Here are the final standings. All the 地位，任命する-race reaction to come on the homepage but that's all from me here. Thanks for に引き続いて.

LAP 55/56: Verstappen is now 負かす／撃墜する to just a second but Hamilton has been saved. Magnussen has spun off 負かす／撃墜する the 支援する straight, bringing out the yellow 旗s and 妨げるing an over take on him.

LAP 54/56: 'Do we have the 力／強力にする, I want 十分な 力／強力にする' says Verstappen.

He would have been delighted with the 'yes' reply a few moments later.

Hamilton has told his team to let him get on with it ーに関して／ーの点でs of defending. The gap is now 負かす／撃墜する to 1.2 seconds.

LAP 53/56: Hamilton of course will still 勝利，勝つ the world 選手権, even if he 減少（する）s to third in the last few （競技場の）トラック一周s. Speaking of which, Verstappen is now just 2.5 seconds 負かす／撃墜する on 吊りくさび.

Bottas has already built up a 2.5 seconds lead.

LAP 52/56: Bottas again gets into the slipstream of Hamilton on the 支援する straight, and this time he dives 負かす／撃墜する the inside to take a much easier pass. 最高の，を越す move. Hamilton now needs to hang on to second from the 非難する Verstappen.

LAP 51/56: Bottas gets into the slipstream on the 支援する straight but with a pass on the outside he runs wide and Hamilton 生き残るs with thee lead into the next corner. This fight has 解除する off!

And as they fight - Verstappen comes into play! He is just four seconds 負かす／撃墜する.

LAP 50/56: There are three backmarkers coming up in fact - the gap is still hovering at around a second.

LAP 49/56: Just to throw another 成分 into this fight, there are some backmarkers coming up. Bottas is now a second 負かす／撃墜する on Hamilton but crucially does not have DRS yet.

LAP 48/56: So what have you got Bottas? As his engineer tells him the gap, he replies by 説 'no more talking now'.

The gap is 1.5 seconds by the way.

LAP 47/56: Bottas's pace has 改善するd - he is now two seconds 負かす／撃墜する on Hamilton. Dirty 空気／公表する 領土. Verstappen is now also just six seconds 負かす／撃墜する just to make it a little more 利益／興味ing.

LAP 46/56: Hamilton has 10 （競技場の）トラック一周s to 持つ／拘留する off Bottas who 権利 now will only have a handful of （競技場の）トラック一周s to pass 吊りくさび once he catches him, and catch him he will.

LAP 45/56: Two （競技場の）トラック一周s after asking what the （競技場の）トラック一周 記録，記録的な／記録する is, Leclerc then 始める，決めるs a new one. It's taken 45 （競技場の）トラック一周s but Ferrari finally have pace... albeit 50 seconds 負かす／撃墜する on Verstappen.

LAP 44/56: The gap between Hamilton and Bottas is now 負かす／撃墜する to 3.4 seconds. Verstappen is hanging on in third but is six seconds 負かす／撃墜する on the Finn.

LAP 43/56: Bottas was in clean 空気／公表する chasing Hamilton, yet somehow in those four seconds another two cars have pitted and come out inbetween the Mercedes. Nico Hulkenberg and Kimi Raikkonen now the slow coaches. 

Although not heard, Bottas is 明らかに 怒った at the 欠如（する） of blue 旗s for the backmarkers.

LAP 42/56: 'We are 関心d these tyres will not get to the end' Mercedes tell Hamilton, before then 知らせるing him they can stop now and 戦う／戦い Verstappen for second.

LAP 41/56: 'I don't know how much longer these tyres are going to last' an exhausted Hamilton says over the 無線で通信する. Pitting is not really an 選択 now though, and his team calmly tell him to stay out and they will 監視する. Not much else they can do.

LAP 40/56: Bottas has now （疑いを）晴らすd the traffic and he is 4.5 seconds behind Hamilton.

LAP 39/56: One factor coming to Hamilton's 援助（する） is traffic. Antonio Giovinazzi, Lance Stroll and Kevin Magnussen all 事実上の／代理 as rolling road 封鎖するs in 前線 of Bottas at the moement.

LAP 38/56: Red Bull are 納得させるd Hamilton is a sitting duck out in 前線 from Bottas at least. They have told Verstappen, in third, to go eight tenths quicker to give him a chance of passing the Brit.

LAP 37/56: In just two （競技場の）トラック一周s, Bottas has already taken the gap 負かす／撃墜する to six seconds - setting a new fastest （競技場の）トラック一周 in the 過程.

LAP 36/56: Hamilton, who is 傾向がある to complaining about tyres then not stopping again for as much as 50 （競技場の）トラック一周s, is once more telling his team he is not 納得させるd the hard tyres will last. For once I might just believe him. It's a big ask considering the tyre wear 苦しむd by the 残り／休憩（する） of the field.

LAP 35/56: And he is followed by Bottas who sticks on a 始める，決める of medium tyres. Into the lead goes Hamilton and the gap is just under nine seconds. Over to you 吊りくさび and Valtteri - bring on the entertainment.

LAP 34/56: Good news for Hamilton. Verstappen cannot 持つ／拘留する him up as he has just pitted for a 始める，決める of medium tyres.

LAP 33/56: Your 最高の，を越す 10 権利 now are : 1. Bottas, 2. Verstappen, 3. Hamilton, 4. Leclerc, 5. Ricciardo, 6. Norris, 7. Albon, 8. Sainz, 9. Gasly, 10. Raikkonen.

LAP 32/56: Verstappen is making no 伸び（る）s on Bottas. He is still seven seconds 負かす／撃墜する on Bottas and behind him Hamilton is の近くにing in. The gap between them is 負かす／撃墜する to six seconds.

LAP 31/56: A little bit of a なぎ in the race at the moment. Don't go anywhere though. This will 形態／調整 up into a 割れ目ing finale that we should have got in Mexico last week.

LAP 30/56: 一方／合間, 負かす／撃墜する in the circus that is Ferrari, Leclerc is having a very lonely race. He is 26 seconds 負かす／撃墜する on Hamilton running fourth, yet has a 17 second advantage on Daniel Ricciardo's Renault behind him.

LAP 29/56: Hamilton will almost certainly 勝利，勝つ the world 選手権 now, but he wants to do it with style by winning the race - something he has not done since winning in Texas in 2015.

If he does 勝利，勝つ this, it will be a classic 運動 from him that would を強調する why he is world 支持する／優勝者.

LAP 28/56: Hamilton has slowed 負かす／撃墜する a bit now, and he has been told by Bono 'These （競技場の）トラック一周 times put you in 論争 for the 勝利，勝つ.'

LAP 27/56: Hamilton is going very quickly, taking 1.5 seconds out of Bottas.

It's too quick though. His race engineer Bono is telling him keeping at that pace he will 廃虚 his tyres on a one-stop 戦略.

Hamilton's 返答: 'What should I be doing [（競技場の）トラック一周 time], work with me Bono!'

LAP 26/56: Hamilton is 15 seconds 負かす／撃墜する on Bottas and about eight seconds 負かす／撃墜する on Verstappen in second. Both have to stop again.

That means 吊りくさび will 奪い返す the lead and it is up to Bottas to try and pass him for victory.

LAP 25/56: Hamilton comes out in the dirty 空気／公表する of Robert Kubica, but he will soon pass him and after that he 効果的に has a very empty 跡をつける in 前線 of him to attack.

LAP 24/56: Bottas is then told he can 'attack' Hamilton, and that he does. 吊りくさび's tyres are done and the Finn passes him easily on the straight. Now of course, he 炭坑，オーケストラ席s.

LAP 23/56: Bottas is now a second behind Hamilton but he has been told 吊りくさび is pitting...

...until 吊りくさび tells his team that he is staying out! Bottas will be ガス／煙ing with that call.

LAP 22/56: 利益／興味ing point of the race coming up. Bottas is just over two seconds 負かす／撃墜する on Hamilton. If he wants to 勝利，勝つ, he might have to pass the Brit in the next few （競技場の）トラック一周s...

LAP 21/56: Ferrari 大虐殺 bingo is on 解雇する／砲火／射撃 権利 now. Now even the pitstops are going wrong. A sticky left 後部 costing Leclerc a few seconds in the pitlane. Hamilton still has to 炭坑，オーケストラ席 of course but Leclerc is now a minute 負かす／撃墜する on the Brit.

LAP 20/56: I think we can 除去する Red Bull from the fight for victory too. In third he is five seconds 負かす／撃墜する on Bottas and continues to lose time.

LAP 19/56: Hamilton's pace is rather poor compared to Bottas. He is losing nearly two seconds per （競技場の）トラック一周. The gap between the Mercedes team-mates is now 負かす／撃墜する to just seven seconds.

LAP 18/56: How on earth have Ferrari lost all their pace? As Hamilton 始める，決めるs off on a new （競技場の）トラック一周, Leclerc is now over 20 seconds 負かす／撃墜する on the Brit. Even if Hamilton pitted he would come out in 前線 of the 単独の Ferrari.

LAP 17/56: New fastest （競技場の）トラック一周 from Bottas and it looks like Mercedes have 分裂（する） their 戦略. All the 前線 走者s look like they are on a two-stop 戦略, and it appears Hamilton will be on a one stopper.

LAP 16/56: Hamilton leads then and to little surprise stays out seeing as he is 飛行機で行くing. Bottas passes Leclerc around the outside of turn one to move up into second. Leclerc realising he is not in a 戦う／戦い for a podium this afternoon, let alone a 勝利，勝つ.

LAP 15/56: And Bottas just about gets out in 前線 of Verstappen. More 顕著に is Leclerc only just about （疑いを）晴らすs both of them. Ferrari are 絶対 nowhere this afternoon.

LAP 14/56: Verstappen 炭坑，オーケストラ席s and that 解放（する）s Hamilton into second - 吊りくさび is now setting purple 部門s. Hammertime?

It's Bottas who 炭坑，オーケストラ席s from the lead though.

LAP 13/56: Ferrari are looking 壊れやすい. They have told Leclerc to 避ける the apex at turn eight 予定 to Vettel's 中断 失敗.

LAP 12/56: Verstappen is not happy with his Red Bull. Rather than 焦点（を合わせる） on 追跡（する）ing 負かす／撃墜する Bottas, he is instead on the 無線で通信する asking if Hamilton has DRS.

He does is the answer, as he is いっそう少なく than a second behind.

LAP 11/56: One major move that's happened off my レーダ is Ricciardo has got past Norris to （人命などを）奪う，主張する fifth place. 割れ目ing afternoon so far for the Australian.

LAP 10/56: No change out in 前線. And 計画（する） B is not working for Ferrrai. Leclerc is now over nine seconds 負かす／撃墜する on Hamilton.

LAP 9/56: Vettel's 退職 is another 特別手当 for his former Ferrari team-mate Raikkonen who is now up to ninth 位置／汚点／見つけ出す. What an afternoon for the Finn.

LAP 8/56: Vettel's 絶対 哀れな start has got worse. Much worse. He is out of the race after his 中断 failed and nearly sends him into a big 事故. He has done 井戸／弁護士席 to 避ける a big 出来事/事件 there. After parking up, marshalls wheel his Ferrari off to safety. No safety car, just yellow 旗s.

LAP 7/56: Bottas 一方／合間 is sitting pretty out in 前線. He has two seconds on Verstappen who has Hamilton just over a second behind him.

My guess is 吊りくさび is 根気よく waiting to pass Verstappen on the undercut.

LAP 6/56: The 最高の，を越す three are leaving the Ferraris for dust - Leclerc is already five seconds 負かす／撃墜する on Mercedes. He is already 存在 told about a switch to 計画（する） B. Whatever it is, it can't be worse than 計画（する） A. Both are a second off the pace.

LAP 5/56: Good news for Alex Albon. He is the quickest man on 跡をつける having 始める，決める a new fastest （競技場の）トラック一周. The bad news is he is last and eight seconds 負かす／撃墜する on George Russell's Williams.

LAP 4/56: So your 最高の，を越す six at this 行う／開催する／段階 are: 1. Bottas, 2. Verstappen, 3. Hamilton, 4. Leclerc, 5. Norris, 6. Ricciardo, 7. Vettel, 8. Gasly, 9. Sainz. 10. Magnussen.

LAP 3/56: Kimi Raikkonen won this race for Ferrari last year, and he has made a superb start here. In 直面する it's the best of anyone, 伸び（る）ing six places to move up into 11th.

LAP 2/56: Vettel is complaining of 厳しい oversteer and now wonder becuase he has now been passed on the straight by Renault's (!) Daniel Ricciardo. Alex Albon and Carlos Sainz 衝突／不一致d at the first corner, 確実にするing the Red Bull driver has had to 炭坑，オーケストラ席.

LAP 1/56: Valtteri Bottas gets a superb start, but 吊りくさび Hamilton makes an even better one. He passes both Ferraris around the first （競技場の）トラック一周 before settling in third behind Max Verstappen.

The Ferraris are all over the place, Vettel has now been passed by Lando Norris for fourth!

And for those drivers, here are the typical 炭坑，オーケストラ席-stop 戦略s we could 推定する／予想する によれば Pirelli.

The 最高の，を越す five will be starting on the medium tyre, which is 概略で a second slower than the soft tyre. The 残り／休憩（する） of the 最高の，を越す 10 are on softs.

Barely a cloud in the sky on a 罰金 autumnal afternoon. The cooler 条件s favoured Mercedes in practice but we will how it all translates on race day soon enough...

But that isn't going to stop the US GP 長，指導者s from getting some glamour on the grid. As ever the Texas 明言する／公表する's very own Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders have been entertaining the （人が）群がる.

On 完全な pace, no one is going to 妨げる Hamilton getting a 最高の，を越す eight place. But he could be the 犠牲者 of an 出来事/事件 on 跡をつける as one of the 落し穴s of モーター racing.

After all, Max Verstappen won't 正確に／まさに be polite if they 戦う／戦い for position, at least going by yesterday

Just when you though there was no one left who could （警官の）巡回区域，受持ち区域 吊りくさび Hamilton, I went and caught up with one of the only drivers who has never lost to him/

He is within touching distance of a sixth world 肩書を与える and he only needs to finish eighth (or ninth with a fastest （競技場の）トラック一周) to （人命などを）奪う，主張する the 栄冠を与える.

To help him out even more, he will also be 支持する／優勝者 if Valtteri Bottas does not 勝利，勝つ the race.

...except for Sebastian Vettel it seems who looks like he was made to walk the 回路・連盟. He's not been in bad form of late so we are out of season ーに関して／ーの点でs of jokes about him getting around quicker by walking rather than 運動ing.

Valtteri Bottas has to 勝利，勝つ to have any chance of taking the 肩書を与える fight on to Brazil, and to his credit he has done all he can do. The Finn took 有利な立場（位置） on Saturday in a 高度に 競争の激しい qualifying 開会／開廷／会期.

He even has his own parking 位置／汚点／見つけ出す in the 高度に likely event he 安全な・保証するs the 肩書を与える at the 回路・連盟 of the Amercias.

Where that parking 位置／汚点／見つけ出す is I can't 確認する. I'm guessing it's in parc ferme - it could be in downtown Austin for all I know 裁判官ing by this photo.

Enough about the rugby though - Britain has an even better chance of a world 選手権 this 週末 in 吊りくさび Hamilton.
